“Thunderous Applause” Upon Trump’s Arrival at Army -vs- Navy Football Game (video)…

Donald Trump arrived at the annual Army-Navy Football Game … and to say he did so to a thunderous applause would be an understatement.   The President-Elect showed up midway through the first quarter — he’s got seats in a private booth with a protective glass shield — and fans went nuts:

I don’t ever recall Obama going to one of these games. When Trump talks about giving the country spirit and reinvigorating American pride, this is what he means. He’s going to be one heckuva president!

Love this game!!! And my president Trump!
Reminds me of my dad an Army vet who use to have us sing as kids, “the Navy gets the gravy and the Army gets the beans…..”.
    Hahaha. Good times.

RSBN is showing the game now on their live cam. It’s on the tv on the far right of the screen. It’s a little grainy on the picture but the audio is good. haha

Former Army officer here. Glad we won today.
Navy is our opponent for 3+ hours a year and our brothers and sisters in arms the other 364+ days a year.
Ditto for the Air Force Academy,
A hearty cheer for the Marines (including their Annapolis grads) and the Coast Guard too.

Glad to see PE Trump there. I think he’ll make it a point to show often, like artillery captain Harry Truman did. (Ironically, Ike played football for Army but did not show up often for the game as Prez.)

Tom Selleck had a Magnum PI episode showing him as a former Navy QB who pulled out a win against Army. Footage of the 1983 game at the Rose Bowl was on that episode. BTW, Tom was ROTC at USC and took part in quelling the Watts riots. He served in the Army National Guard after graduation.

American dominance in the skies and on the oceans makes it easier for our grunts, tread heads, and cannon cockers to smash the enemy on the ground. As long as we pull together and seek the will and blessing of God, we can do it.

The sight of all those deplorable military men (many of them white) cheering for Trump made Obama so mad he had to go work out extra hard to blow off some steam. He did 5 lunges while holding 5lb weights, then he stepped on and off that little pink step of his twenty times.

What? Is the Tree House spreading FAKE news? What’s this thunderous applause stuff? I’ve been told by no less than USA Today via Yahoo news that Trump was greeted by muted applause!

BALTIMORE — Donald Trump’s appearance on the big screen at M&T Bank Stadium was met with muted applause Saturday in the first quarter of the Army-Navy game.

Trump was shown with less than three minutes to go, and did not appear to grab the attention of a stunned Navy crowd that had watched the Midshipmen turn the ball over on each of its first two drives, one of which led to an Army touchdown.

And the liebabies roll on! 😉

College football is one of the last bastions of traditional Americana in the sports world. Despite unavoidable cultural changes and rot in some college curriculum, a strong spirit of wholesomeness and sportsmanship pervades the spectacle.

I have become much more a fan of college football than the NFL in recent years. Unfortunately the big money political side of the system is a problem, but not enough to taint the purity of the experience. i was at the USC – Notre Dame game a few weeks ago and even in the heart of Hollywood culture the continuity of the rivalry transcended anything else. It could have been a game from decades ago in terms of the ambiance and comeraderie.

The tailgates, pageantry, bands, cheer squads, mascots, etc. really maintain the sense of a timeless Americana. And the players and coaches also respect the tradition and loyalties. It was the final game of the USC mascot horse, Traveler 7, after twenty five years galloping up and down the sidelines. The special salute and ovation was just another sign of the respect for tradition.

Trump gracing the service rivalry sends such a great symbolic message.

I guess I have to thank Colon Krapernick for it—I never paid attention to college football until he started his b.s. in August. Watched the NFL for close to forty years, but haven’t seen one game this year and don’t intend to anymore. Still, I hate to thank that idiotic butthurt lib for anything….
