It is entirely doubtful that anyone with a modicum of political knowledge doesn’t already know this.  However, that said, a new report from The Hill outlines a phone call between President Obama and candidate Hillary Clinton urging her to concede:
(Via The Hill) […] “You need to concede,” Obama told his former secretary of State as she, her family, and her top aides continued to watch results trickle in from the key Rust Belt states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. The latter state, called after 1:30 a.m. by The Associated Press, was the clear tipping point for the White House race, ensuring Trump would crest over the 270 electoral-vote threshold needed to win.
Clinton ultimately heeded Obama’s advice and called Trump to acknowledge her defeat in the early morning hours Wednesday.
[…] At the time, campaign Chairman John Podesta, a former Obama White House official, had been dispatched to Clinton’s victory party at the Jacob Javits Center to deliver an anodyne statement leaving the result of the election unaddressed.
Before he returned, Clinton put an end to the debate among her inner circle by asking to talk to Trump.   “Just give me the phone,” she said in frustration. “I’m calling him.”  (read more)

The factional Democrat mindset described within this story is exactly why smart political observers should make every effort to support the DNC nomination of Keith Ellison.
Violent leftists can never accept defeat, and traditionally double-down on their own echo-chambered moonbat nuttery.   The best way to defeat them is to support their more extremist movements which isolate and marginalize any common sense affiliates.
Left to their own devices, the team around Clinton would have dragged out the inevitable defeat utilizing every effort to avoid acceptance.  Amid this path their insufferable intransigence would have been toxically visible and they would have charged full bore into destination irrelevance.
In essence, President Obama saved the Moonbat coalition from suffering the consequences of their own action.
