She said? Or she quoted a Politico article that said? Here’s what I see on her twitter feed. Her tweet “Re” the title of the article referencing Trump loyalists:

Thanks 1955. One of the problems I see more of lately is that posters will make a quick read of something, get it wrong, then make a faulty conclusion based on their erroneous reading. Then four or five “I just love to post my comments” people jump on that bandwagon and run with condemnations based on the faulty conclusions.

          In short . . . duh . . . read much?

For clarity, perhaps she should have put the title in quotes. The “Re:” appears to only apply to the word “Romney” immediately following; the title of the article starts with “Some.”

I’m not going to bag on people’s “English comprehension” when punctuation wasn’t used in the original; it’s unclear writing. It’s not at all clear those aren’t KACs words when she didn’t put them in quotes as if she were quoting someone else.

On the other hand…perhaps they ought to follow the link.

For the record…I didn’t bag on anyone. And yes, she could have been more clear and the poster should have followed the link, or even just read the headline of the link. Especially if they were going to say something negative about it. It’s always a good idea to have a thorough understanding of what you’re saying — especially if you’re going to say it without qualification.

Happy Thanksgiving, treepers! I’ve been helping siblings move for the past couple weeks, so only lurking here and there during these first glorious weeks of President-Elect Trump.

But on this national day of Thanksgiving, I wanted to spend some time sharing Ten Big Thanks with everyone here on why I, as an old-school Leftie, have more joy and relief at our election result than I’ve had at an election result in a long, Long, LONG time. Please feel free to share these Ten Points of Leftie Gratitude with any of your not-on-board-yet Leftie loved ones at the Thanksgiving table who might not have thought these issues through, thus far.

First: President-Elect Trump has driven a stake through the heart of the undying Bush dynasty. Thanks be to God.

Second: As a Leftie that has been praying for the Republican Party to return to foreign-policy sanity and sober Main Street skepticism for decades, I am ecstatically grateful for President-Elect Trump’s work. He has started to pry the fingers of Wall Street Ryan and Wall Street Romney and the Cruzbots and the Neocons off the levers of power, and he has also exposed the lying Murdoch Media for the deceitful slime they are.

Third: President-Elect Trump has driven a stake through the heart of the undying Clinton dynasty. Thanks be to God.

Fourth: As a Leftie that has been praying for the Democratic Party to return to anti-Trust enforcement and Main Street bankster skepticism for decades, I am ecstatically grateful for President-Elect Trump’s work. He has started to pry the fingers of Wall Street Schumer and Big Hollywood Pelosi and the SJW brigades and the Neolibs off the levers of power, and he has also exposed the lying Metropolitan Media for the deceitful slime they are.

Fifth: President-Elect Trump has killed TPP dead. Thanks be to God.

Sixth: The day after President-Elect Trump won, both Trudeau and Peña-Nieto were immediately willing to have Canada and Mexico renegotiate the more-horrible parts of NAFTA. The day after that, China and Japan were immediately willing to look at bilateral trade issues, and a Brexiting Britain was willing to look at an exclusive bilateral trade pact.

Seventh: We are not going to have Russian nuclear weapons dropped onto American aircraft carrier groups in the Black Sea and American army bases in Germany because Hillary Clinton needs to fight a “short, glorious war” with Putin to distract from escalating scandals back home. (Don’t laugh. She’d have started a land-air-and-sea war with Putin in a heartbeat, dragged all of Europe and the Western media into it, and incompetently-provoked the full-spectrum military response one should expect.)

Eighth: American domestic policy will no longer be openly available to the nearest multi-billionaire domestic mega-donor, nor the highest-bidding multinational megacorp.

Ninth: American foreign policy will no longer be openly available to the nearest multi-billionaire foreign mega-donor, nor the highest-bidding multinational megacorp.

Tenth: The endless tears of Rove and Kristol and Romney and Kaplan and Ryan and the Koch brothers all remain so pure and so sweet, even four years later. As a leftie, I will never, ever tire of drinking deeply.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! And, for your Leftie friends and relations, Happy Trumps-giving, too! D Plorabus Unum!

    Wilbur Ross as Commerce Secretary.
He will stimulate business activity, finance and investment.
The Left will attack him because he made billions taking over near-bankrupt companies and making them viable. One form of capitalism that sensitive souls think is evil.

It does make the takeover guys a lot of money when it works. But growing capital means there is more capital but ideologues don’t understand more capital is good. They buy the “one pie” school of economics. Ross is about lots of pies and many bakeries and a growing, dynamic economy. He also deals inside the US and knows where the weaknesses are, what should be helped, what should be avoided and how to get whole regions going as well as what industry sectors need first aid or last rights or what form of federal assistance or elimination of federal controls and regulations.

We have to modernize. Ross understands progress. He is one of the guys Trump always talked about. “I know who’s smart and I know who think they are smart. I know the best of the best.”

Ross is smart and the best of the best. For a few years, he’ll help Trump get the big engine of America going again.

They go back to Trump’s troubled period: It was with the assistance and assurance of Ross, then senior managing director of Rothschild Inc., that Trump was allowed to keep the casinos and rebuild his businesses ultimately engineering one of the greatest turnaround in US business history.

Wilbur L. Ross, Jr. (born November 28, 1937) is an American investor, and former banker, known for restructuring failed companies in industries such as steel, coal, telecommunications, foreign investment and textiles.

I use seven fingers (pretty much “old school typing” except I don’t use the pinkies), and dinky little smartphone keypads drive me bats__t crazy because I have to tie five fingers behind my back (so to speak) to use them. Those keypads are big enough for two fingers (unless you have King Kong’s hands) though.

I have a Simple & Cheap Tracphone that only sends & receives calls, NO internet, texting etc etc.. PLUS! I don’t want “apps” tracking My every move, wherever I go the phone cost Me a Total cost of,, (drum roll) 5.00 brand new,, I usually spend 20.00 per month on service, (minutes)… 120 minutes…

Oh, that would drive me bats–t too, no matter what I was trying to do.

I used to converse a lot online with someone who simply would not set off described actions with an asterisk. So you’d see her write something like “cackles I think you should…” and I’d wonder why on earth she was calling me “cackles.”

Turns out she only types with one hand, and shift-8 is too big a reach for her. She cannot function with two hands, especially since she has a cigarette or a drink in the other hand. On the other hand when I try using just one I’m about ready to start breaking things in frustration within two minutes.

Ordinary phones with just the number pad drive me nuts too when I’m trying to form a sentence, just having to cycle through the twenty seven symbols on 1 to get the one I want is enough to make me go “grrrr.” I know they used to make models with a full keyboard (but not a smartphone) but those buttons were VERY tiny.

Your phone is indeed tracking you, by its nature it HAS to, because the network needs to know what tower to send your incoming calls to. Pretty much the only way to stop that is to remove the battery. But there are some precautions you can take on a smart phone to minimize the tracking; for instance when you install an app it will tell you what permissions you need to give it. If it’s (for example) a GPS app yet demands access to my camera, microphone, and media files…I don’t install it. There’s no conceivable reason for a GPS app to need that stuff; it’s some software writer being a nosy bastich and hoping you won’t notice.

I do most of my writing from a desktop so at least the hardware isn’t sub par. Minimal texting.

As for your situation, I was wondering if you were an amputee based on something else you said, and of course next to that every one of my complaints about typing is what the millenials call a “first world problem.”

This recount business reminds me of another story about AlGore. I contend, that when they recount the votes, they will invariably find that some of Clinton’s were fraudulent. We know that many of them were, but they’ll find ‘some’ were. So her numbers will actually go down.

Al Gore back in the height of the ‘Global Warming’ nonsense, had a big house in Tennessee, some Deplorable person went and got a copy of his utilities bill, showing that his house spent some crazy number like 2 or 3 thousand dollars a month on electricity. Just crazy. At the time Gore was preaching that everybody should turn up their thermostat so they don’t waste electricity.

So Gore responded by saying that the man had a good point, so he was going to redesign some things in the house; he added solar panels, replaced all the lighting, etc. and when it was all said and done, his power bill went UP even higher!

Supposedly Petraeus is also an alternative, being brought up now mean’s he may be a plan ‘B’ choice.

Trump’s message before Thanksgiving was a plea for the country to work together and an indicator to me he is slowly breaking the news he picked Romney, or he’s hoping the talk will change where he can more easily pick Romney.

I could also be wrong, he may have not decided on Romney yet, and is still debating who to pick or meet with.

I hope Trump works with every state government to make elections more fair (paper ballots, voter ID, harsher penalties for tampering, etc.), but recounts are not a good idea- Democrats always use recounts to buy time to cook up enough votes in order to steal the election.

What is extremely shady is how much Jill Stein raised within the last few days- $4 million, when she only raised $3.5 million during her whole campaign. Is George Soros funding her or what?

They’ll raise hell, but they won’t get anywhere, especially in Wisconsin and PA. They will make it ugly and chaotic for a while, and the Clinton’s will try to hide behind Stein and the media so they aren’t seen as the movers. Expect, however, to see periodic sightings just to keep HRC in the spotlight. Wouldn’t be surprised to hear the DNC weigh in with something very soon. The end result is we win, but more of the left will have fuel to run on for a while, whining about Russians, hacking, “statistical anomalies” (as if they have a clue what the phrase means) and the popular vote.

The last two paragraphs of this article are very interesting. I want to know who are the “US authorities” they are talking about to protect their “migrants?”

I heard KAC speaking of not going after Hillary. I have read many of the posts and comments. I have wondered, why has Trump said NOTHING of Comey? I believe Trump has intentionally put off speaking to him, and speaking about him. I can’t wait for inaugural day.

And then there were these two back in 2008 @victory speech. That’s when it all began….the attempted “takeover” of our God given Country psss fyi we’ve got it back….sucker. You soiled a bit but we’ve got a whole dang crew that is set to clean it up and make it shine once again. Be gone with you and your ilk. aw but I digress…back to my thought……

Never figured out why she chose the black widow garb and iirc one of her daughters was in similar black/red deal.

I vow never to post an image of these individuals again. Wouldn’t have done it now except for the fact that it just showed up in my google search and the notable difference between them and who we have now been blessed with, and spouse, was blinding.

DDD Report….The success of the recount scheme about to unfold depends upon Michigan. ONLY if they overturn the election in Michigan do they have a chance to steal it. A combination of Pa. and Wi. will not yield enough fraud. If Michigan holds then the scheme fails. Trump would still have 276 even without Pa. and Wi.. This is a last desperate Doomsday PLOT to try and save their sorry hides. Buckle up. Michigan is the key.

Do the states have to give Jill Stein a recount if she has the money for it (which apparently she does – Thanks, George!)?

Howie – all of this talk about a successful recount request has thrown a big chewed up drumstick bone onto the dessert plate of my day.

I hate it but I am checking the actual rules I can find. These are criminals and they will go to any means to keep out of jail I think. They will not go down peacefully i doubt. Cornered rats are the most dangerous. The MSM will back them 100% unless I miss my guess. They have already started The Russians Are Coming Bullshit.

My hope, Howie, is that this is the reason Trump and those around him have floated the idea that ‘we have other things to do’ than to focus on prosecutions. Mainly to defuse the situation, at least for now.

For what it’s worth, on election night when Podesta came out, I posted here that this election would “make Bush v. Gore look like a small claims case.” That said, I have absolutely changed my mind on that. We will win any recount, assuming any actually take place, I have no doubt. They had a month to try and flip Michigan, and couldn’t do it, Trump still leads by 10k. There is no way Wisconsin can be flipped–too big a percentage lead there. That being the case, even assume the worst (which also won’t happen) and give her PA and MI, that’s only 36 votes. Trump now sits at 306, Michigan having been certified. Take away 36 and he’s at 270, house decides, we win. Now if you want to get all paranoid and talk about “faithless electors” and all that, well, have at it. To me, this is no different than the agony the NeverTrumpers put people through worrying about the convention rules, “parachute candidates”, HRC dropping out and being replaced by Biden, yada yada yada yada. All was pure b.s., of course, but many lost sleep over it, and just KNEW all that was going to come to pass.

Really, one has a choice from this point forward: Destroy yourself worrying about all of these eventualities, or realize that we won, and Trump WILL be inaugurated. Trump has lawyers, and is undoubtedly on top of this. According to some press reports, even Obama wants this crap to go away, and has urged the Clintons to back off. There is nothing anyone here can do except add to the “froth” the left wants. I’m staying out–we won. Don’t let them ruin it, which is all they are trying to do.
