The latest media narrative “Donald Trump Cannot Beat Hillary Clinton” and “Donald Trump support Dropping”, is being spurred by another NBC/Wall Street Journal poll being pushed – yet again – by NBC political director Mark Murray.
On February 17th we completely deconstructed the ridiculous methodology being deployed in the agenda polls –SEE HERE– What the general audience continually seems to overlook is the source of the information.
Here’s another screengrab of the latest “poll” being pushed by NBC/WSJ (the full pdf is here). Look closely at the origin of the information.

What you’ll see is: “Hart Research Associates / Public Opinion Strategies” these are not political polling firms. These are public relations firms. You can go here to see the origin of the data, and you can GO HERE to see the clients they service.
From Their “About Us” Page – About half of our research is dedicated to winning elections. Our political client base includes thirteen U.S. Senators, six Governors, over sixty-five Members of Congress, and numerous state legislative caucuses. The other half of our work is involved in complex public policy battles, working with industry coalitions, government entities and private companies.
What you will discover is their clients are entrenched DC Politicians who have a specific and vested interest in the outcome of the election. Public Opinion Strategies is the outfit that runs their political campaigns and political messaging.
These are not media polls done to capture the mood of the electorate. These are tightly controlled scripts designed to sell a very specific reference. This is the professional political class controlling the information being fed into the media machine.
Do not take our word for it, check it all out for yourself. All the links are above. Once you look into it you’ll realize why and how the reality (election outcome) diverges so completely from the narrative (election prediction).
This crap is all about constructing a false impression and selling the propaganda to the audience. That’s all it is.

This is what they do with the crap:

I don’t know how factual or biased the poll was but I know a lot of people are ignoring the 39% of registered republican voters that absolutely will NOT vote for Trump under any circumstances. Having said that and not being one to ignore history, I see the same election results as when Romney won the GOP nomination if Trump wins the nomination, even Sanders will beat Trump.

BTW FBN had on a polical professor named Dr Helmut Norpoth. He used a statistical model that has correctly picked the general election winner since 1912, except the year JFK stole the election in 1960. According that model he said there was a 97.2% likelyhood that Trump would defeat Hillary in a head to head. The elites all know about this poll. If Trump really were going to lose to Hillary as they keep insisting they would let him run and scoop up all the new voters he’s bringing in. As Romney said, they’re fine with Hillary winning. But they know she won’t. That means Trump, if he’s the nominee would become president become president. THEY KNOW THIS. That’s why they are in such a weird frenzy to stop Trump.

Sundance you left out “if it were a two way race between Donald Trump and Candidate X, Trump loses,” which is another myth. One reason why this myth is stupid, amongst many reasons, is that they are asking the entire national GOP electorate a question that really only applies to VERY TRUMP FRIENDLY upcoming primaries. Most of the very Cruz friendly states have already been settled with Trump wins, BTW.
I think we are so accustomed to the NBC/WSJ poll here at CTH, that no one paid any attention to it.

Here is his original plea for his sister-in-law, mother of three children (10, 4, and 9 months) attempting to leave and get custody from an abusive ex-husband.
http://acecomments.mu.nu/?blog=86&post=362068#c24965775
Here’s his plea.
Some of you are aware that my sister-in-law (wife’s twin) has been beaten and abused by her husband for nearly 20 years. Some of you are also aware that he is armed, unstable and easily provoked. We are all half-expecting the police to call and notify us that he has killed her, the kids, and himself.
Today is the end of the beginning.
Shelly left Scott [names unchanged because fuck that guy] about a year ago. Since then, she’s been fighting a legal battle over custody of her three children (ages 10, 4, and 9 months). For those of you who math on this blog, that means even while pregnant, he was beating the shit out of her. Shelly lived with her mom for a few months and then rented an apartment with her dad to help defray some of the costs.
Since she’s moved out, Scott has physically threatened several separate daycare providers, forcing Shelly to find new and more expensive care for her kids. Currently, one child is in school and the other two are in separate daycares to minimize the odds that he can find all three of them at the same time.
At every step in the legal process, Scott has refused to concede even the slightest fraction of an inch. He has fought, gambled, lied and abused the system designed to protect the innocent and punish the guilty. In doing so, he is attempting to win by out-spending her. He in unemployed, has no education and has not been able to hold a job for more than a year or so in his entire adult life. He is being represented by an acquaintance for free, so he has no financial reason to quit.
Shelly wants full and sole custody of her children and has documented a long and colorful history of abuse for the court. The court, though, is slow, and designed with the presumption of innocence at its base. In this specific case, that means Scott can get away with nearly everything until the very, very end.
Shelly’s cumulative bills have exceeded $100,000. In an effort to defray these bills, our family has dipped into retirement accounts, opened lines of credit and attempted financing. My wife and I have given the money we can along with many, many weekends, helping Shelly around the apartment and donating household goods she needs to stay above water.
All of everyone’s resources are tapped out.
Scott has refused to settle, and this custody case is going to trial. Shelly’s lawyer (who is giving her a non-sarcastically great deal) has quoted her an additional $30,000 to cover the trial itself. That money simply doesn’t exist.
Shelly needs help. She needs it emotionally, spiritually, physically and financially. If you’re the praying type, please add her to your lists. If you live in the NoVa area and can donate household goods, please email me (washingtonnearsider at the g mail). If you can help financially, our family has set up a GoFundMe for her to alleviate the costs of winning her children from a violent and abusive man.
If you are inclined and able, please consider giving a few dollars. We can’t offer anything more than gratitude by way of repayment, but please know that you’re helping a desperate woman fighting to save her children.
Thank you all so very much.

I love this definition of gaslighting taken from Wikipedia:
“Gaslighting or gas-lighting is a form of mental abuse in which information is twisted or spun, selectively omitted to favor the abuser, or false information is presented with the intent of making victims doubt their own memory, perception, and sanity.[1][2] Instances may range simply from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents ever occurred, up to the staging of bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting the victim.”

But isn’t the entire media always gaslighting everything or almost everything all the time?? I mean, the spin is always there. We have no tv service, no antennae. We have a screen which we use to watch movies, but no TV media. Our girls (elementary age) do not remember ever having it. We pulled the plug on cable 3-4 years ago for financial, health, mental reasons. Have not missed it. But, still, this is what the Media–tv, newspapers, magazines “do.” They are the epitome of all talk (spin) no action, except they influence action. This is not new, this discovery of spin. I agree with everything said here, I am just pointing out that it is what is and always has been the case with media.

Are they just too lazy to actually try and construct the poll so that it might have a remote possibility of being true… or do they really think we are so conditioned to take everything fed to us by media as truthful and objective that we won’t notice.

He has 4 delegates, which gets his foot in the door. That’s all he needed.
Now, if Trump isn’t the nominee, then whoever is the nominee will be someone who won fewer delegates than Trump and has gotten most of their delegates from other candidates.
Jeb fits that bill. Nothing says it has to be Rubio or Cruz or Kasich. If the nominee isn’t the 1st place finisher, then it could be the 6th place finisher or the 8th place finisher just as easily as it could be the 2nd place finisher or the 3rd place finisher.

But you can visit comment boards on HuffPo, WashPo, Fox, liberal outlets, conservative media… there is a perception that Hillary versus Trump would be the most entertaining debate of the century, and the majority of people think Trump would trounce here off the stage.

September 21, 2012 U.S. Distrust in Media Hits New High
“…Implications
Americans are clearly down on the news media this election year, with a record-high six in 10 expressing little or no trust in the mass media’s ability to report the news fully, accurately, and fairly. This likely reflects the continuation of the trend seen in recent years, combined with the increased negativity toward the media that election years tend to bring. This is particularly consequential at a time when Americans need to rely on the media to learn about the platforms and perspectives of the two candidates vying to lead the country for the next four years….”

…sorry, computer malfunction – continued:
a question re favorability re Hillary registered 81% favorable. This was a democrat based poll. As have been maintaining throughout – it is a mathematical impossibility for Trump to be polling so high everywhere and then be the only one not beating Clinton; therefore – they are “publishing” only polls that have been weighted so much to produce those results. And article is correct – it is to gaslight the public.
Issue on same topic: When Trump states he beats Hillary in lots of polls; he is stating a truth. Just that: he cannot specify which polls as they are bought/paid for by other candidates/PACs, etc. and therefore are those who purchased property. Up to them whether to purchase, But each campaign can and assume does pay to get all polls done per service.
What is interesting/disturbing in this year’s cycle is the $$$ spent on polls equals more than has been spent cummulatively throughout the last 50 to 70 years. Hillary is #1 re money purchases of polls, Cruz is #2. Their SuperPacs and local groups supporting them also spend heavily. The disturbing part is for the actual dollars spent to produce marketing polls vs. the numbers that are published is off. Given the average size, etc. and estimated cost(s) of those polls continuously being released – always targeted before a primary/state to attempt to sway voters – the ratio of polls paid for vs. polls released to the media is probably only about 20 percent or less of all being purchased are being released. This would indicate they re-poll using different Atlas computer identifying lists and other software voter information lists and then weigh the polls even more to get desired outcomes.
If 80 percent (approximately) of paid polls aren’t being published – that means all
polls are being heavily weighted to get outcome before releasing the 20 percent that show the desired results. That is a huge amount of “bad polling outcome” to ignore before providing one that can be used as marketing the way they wish. Showing Hillary winning nobody except Trump.
This is gas lighting.
I am starting to believe the only accurate polls are the exit polls after voters have voted. Those are available and should be published to give better balance.
Also too – the “remarks by Trump that he sees a lot of polls where he wins Hillary is (then) true. Though, since they are owned by the purchasers, he can only make comment re he saw a poll – if he names it w/date/who took it/etc. without the owner’s permission he is in violation of using their owned data. He would be sued.
I see him get put down by media pundits all the time for [lying] that he’s seen polls he beats Hillary by large margins. This is true – he does. They are those unpublished ones because they came out wrong to be used in media marketing.

Wouldn’t count on exit polls, I have two stock answers – None of your #### business, or lie through my teeth. Which one I use is a spur of the moment thing. Prefer to lie to the poor s### though. And hope it screws them up.
