Can anybody please tell me where Mitt Romney fits into the “spider web”? It seems to me that Mitt thinks he can control the GOP establishment and the upcoming Republican convention also. Is there any possibility that Jeb and Mitt are coordinating this “non-bloody coup” of our voting/convention system? If that’s the case, I would pay money to see which one of them “neutralizes” the other in order to have all the power to himself.

I’ve been saying that Mitt took a dive against Obama, but his big anti-Trump speech last week got me to wondering if maybe I was wrong about that; maybe he just actually very good at this “politics” thing.
After all, he failed to anticipate what has thus far been Trump’s stock answer when some GOPer attacks him…. “He came to me asking for money.”
This is an effective response, because it makes Trump look like a boss and it makes the attacker look two-faced. It also has the benefit of being true every time it’s been deployed.
Romney failed to anticipate this in his speech; he had to take to Twitter later with a pathetic attempt to counter it.
Still… I think he did take a dive against Obama; his real purpose as the 2012 GOP nominee was to leave the field cleared for Jeb to run this year. He was, after all, very effective at attacking his GOP rivals during the primaries.
He just hasn’t been up against a candidate like Trump before.

I would not give them no time. I started with cnn and they took a station break and I finished with msnbc. To hades with FOX other than Judge Jeanine. She is a gem and she knows Mr. Donald over many years in the legal and with his family and hers. I sometimes look at Lou Dobb’s and he is pretty much fair and balanced. At times he has guests who are angry people against Trump and the off button occurs.

Mike, Trump knows even better than we do that the entire system is corrupt … heck everybody knows it … but Trump is playing a cat and mouse game with them since he isn’t President yet. He knows the country is at the edge of the cliff right now and he is brave enough to tackle the filthy mess that exists. So for now he calls them stupid people and sometimes says “or something else.”
But once he is in office and has power, the corruptocrats will be exposed. It’s probably why so many of these dirty bums are fighting for their lives. The line of attack will be his business dealings (Trump U and his taxes will be just back-filler). The leaks on this are already out there. It will start with the innuendos then will be fleshed out with twisted facts, i.e. mob connections, Chinese connections and so on. They have decided that Trump’s emotional triggers are any aspersions on his record as a successful businessman. They tried the other trigger (his manhood) via the Rubio vector that badly misfired.
I think Mr Trump knows this will be the incoming fire and explains the display of his products at the presser. He also reinforced their biases so they think they can damage him by pressing this emotional trigger. I believe he will be prepared. Keep calm and carry on.

Very pro analysis there re: “triggers”. Maybe not emotional per se as he’s always calm, but Trump realizes he absolutely MUST defend his business record as its a key to his candidacy and competence. He’s done fine with it so far, but it keeps him on defense.
The good thing about the GOPe going Full Mississippi is they are blowing the lid off the Clinton oppo file as well. By the time the general election rolls around, he’ll have made his case on these things, and he’ll have his arguments very honed.
Its good for him in a way. GOPe is giving him the flu, and he’s developing antibodies.

When ALL of the Florida ballots were recounted by two MSM teams, some months after the 2000 election, they found that Bush had clearly won, and by a larger margin than originally reported. What Gore was trying to do by going into the two counties that were most favorable to him and counting only those votes was clearly fraudulent. They were also manufacturing votes that were never cast. Meanwhile the Democrat dominated FL Supreme Court was changing the election rules after the election had been run. However much we may not like Cruz now, he did nothing wrong then. He was on the right side. So was the Supreme Court of the US.
(And for the record, I voted for Gore.)

The post mortem will show he was irrecoverably dead after South Carolina. The rest was all splitting off evangelicals, very conservative voters, and some immigration patriots where he could.
Funny enough, Cruz is the only splitter who has done his job effectively so far.
You have to wonder: Since Cruz is not an insurgent but a splitter and always was (Fiorina PAC donation), who was the Roadmap designed to prevent? Not Cruz. They didn’t need to get creative to deny him the nomination. Remember: Born in Canada. They could have pulled the cord on that immediately and never let him run. I feel like a piece is missing.

As I read it the ‘roadmap’ was not designed to prevent but to support the favoured candidate. Mr Cruz (and Rubio’s) ineligibility was known. That is the missing piece. You don’t believe that when Mr Cruz was working on public policy for the Bush clan at the start of his political career he wasn’t vetted? GH just needed to call his former colleagues at Langley to profile him. His records were sealed to give him plausibility until his services were no longer needed. He will get his reward.

When did Cruz or Rubio EVER file bills to repeal all the unconstitutional stuff they rail against (mostly Cruz)?
Can anyone here, or any Cruz supporter name A SINGLE FREAKING BILL Cruz introduced, supported, filibustered or otherwise burned the candle at both ends in support of to repeal or even mitigate anything he calls unconstitutional and would abolish or defund?
I can’t. He says he will abolish the EPA, IRS, etc. but they could defund them now. The GOP controls the house and senate. If these are “popular” they shouldn’t have to worry about “government shutdowns”.
Name anything he proposes he has introduced a bill to even begin the process while a senator. If Cruz cannot convince his fellow GOP members in the house and senate TODAY, why bother about the presidency?
Is he lying? Or is he a weak milquetoast useful idiot who will do what McConnell and Ryan says? Either way, why in heaven’s name would I or anyone with half a brain want him in the Whitehouse?

Amen, tz, and I said precisely that on a Britebart site yesterday .. that Cruz is famous for “I introduced legislation that would do x-y-z” but then what? Show me anything the fool has actually done! I immediately got a long response from a committed Cruzbot listing all sorts of extraneous bills that Teddy Bear had been instrumental in getting passed. Total BS, but I guess some Cruz supporters actually believe it.

Does Ted Cruz ever change his clothes? Seriously, he has been wearing the same jeans, shirt and suit jacket for weeks now, only switching out the jeans for a pair of dress slacks during the debates.
I have read that his former roommates said Ted always had bad body odor – I believe them!

I predict that Bush is going to nominate someone. But I think he’s no longer a possible nominee, even at a brokered convention. I’m afraid they’re trying to foist Romney on us. First, the obnoxious anti-Trump speech. Then appearances on the Today Show and Jimmy Kimmel’s show and maybe more. I take it as foreshadowing.

I never thought Jeb had the heart & desire to run for president but may have been forced to continue after being pegged as “Low Energy” by Trump. I used to think that too, beenthere, that little Jeb was an unwilling, somewhat shy and backward son who needed to make his Mommy and Daddy proud. The very first page of Roger Stone’s Bush Crime Family book blew that idea away. Jeb has been far more devious that one might think and has made a small fortune for himself using his family’s connections. They are all in on it .. every single member of the family, and all controlled by good old Pappy Bush.
I think that was the final straw that caused Trump to decide to run: when Jeb finally announced his decision to run on June 15 last year after coyly teasing that he was making up his mind; meanwhile sucking up money from all of the family’s friends. Trump announced on June 16 as you may recall.

Tom Daschle and Trent Lott on Charlie Rose to, supposedly, push their book, but they spent more time knocking Trump and talking about the serious damage he’s done to the party. Daschle wants Kasich to win and suggested March 15 would determine the pathway to addressing the Trump issue.
Swell. They mentioned something about being in politics over 50 years. Now THAT IS THE PROBLEM. Term limits and no revolving door into lobbying or administration. Some of these critters have grown roots to the core of the earth as they’ve been in D.C. so long.

I have the hardest time convincing Cruz supporters that Trump voters are not low information. We’re professionals, educated, successful business owners, hardworking, taxpaying, contributing members of American society.
We’re fed up with political correctness, glorifying & paying for unproductive, slothful existences, illegal immigration, crony capitalism, the NWO globalist agenda, ObamaCare, Common Core, unpunished IRS crimes, corrupt government officials who break our laws and get away with it, oppressive EPA bureaucrats, Fast-track authority for and the Trans-Pacific Partnership & Trade Agreement, ad infinitum. Most importantly, we’re fed up with our tax dollars being pissed away on NOTHING!
Does that sound like “low information” to you? Or does it sound like informed outrage? Look, Cruz did rage, rail & filibuster against Washington DC and their corruption, but the bottom line is that he failed to persuade his own fellow Republicans to implement real reform. What will change about that if he becomes President?
We need to send a clear and very loud message to the Ruling Class Elites that we are against the policies they’ve implemented and that we vehemently disagree with the direction they’ve taken this country. None of the other candidates have or will have the energy, the engagement and the support that Donald Trump has for President by all of us who support him.
Donald Trump’s continually growing masses are gathering because they hear truth and are responding to it. This is why his numbers are growing…not slowing…
Donald Trump exposes the politicians/MSM lies at every turn and he has gained even more momentum by telling truth as they spread lies. This is why they are so infuriated, frustrated, and confused at his progress.
