I just sent Mr. DeMint and Senate Conservatives Fund a “nice” email telling them what I think of them. And requested they remove me from all mailing lists and email subscriptions. I never want to hear from them again. They are dead to me.

This explains why they were pushing Marco Rubio and Nyki Haley on us a few years back. More RINO snakes in the grass. Will the betrayals never end?

I just got this response back:

Thanks for your email. Mr. DeMint left SCF back in 2012 and has no control over SCF. Also, we did not support Paul Ryan for Speaker and share your concerns with him. He has a terrible record and is cut from the same cloth as Cantor and McCarthy. We will be actively working to hold Paul Ryan and all Republicans in Washington accountable and hope you will be part of our team. We share the same values and are one of the only conservative groups in American that is willing to stand up to liberal Republicans. I hope this addresses your concerns. -Matt / SCF Team

thats right, Jim DeMint was bought out, gone to the highest bidder like at auction, who leaves a US Senate seat to work in the private sector? what victory has the SCF had since Jim left? Cuccinlli? McDaniel? Joe Carr?

ever wonder about the mild mannered black guy Tim Scott, he’s not a leader, Trey Gowdy should have gotten that seat but Jim DeMint conspired with Nikki Haley (hows she working out) to give it to a do nothing, so we got nothing

Thank you for posting this. Do you know how to find the list of donors for SCF and Heritage? I can’t figure it out. When I asked Matt at SCF for the list, he dodged me and told me to go to SEC website to find it. I did but could not figure out how to pull it up.

The document you posted is excellent because it lists the officers of the Foundation and fundraising activities but when I searched “donors”, nothing found.

So far no response from Heritage to my email asking them about the claims by Gohmert that DeMint was the one who influenced Freedom Caucus. At least SCF responded to my inquiry immediately, in the late evening hours. Impressed by that.

After two years out of the senate he free to go back to capital and lobby for candidates and causes. Matt Hoskins was his chief of staff and know runs it. Matt didn’t tell you that did he.

DeMint is now at the Heritage Foundation. My latest email from SCF says that Gohmert was speaking about an unfounded rumor re DeMint.

How does a rumor like this get started if there is no basis?
I ask SCF to find out, if they don’t already know, WHO was the key figure who got these people to turn on a “dime”. If they don’t know, or can’t find out, with their connections, what good are they?

And that would be SCF starting a rumor. They have no clue as to how Gohmert came up with this info

How does a rumor like this get started if there is no basis?

As a member of the Freedom Caucus, Gohmert probably got the info directly from members that had been contacted. I doubt he is relying on a rumor.

Yeah – I found out last year about DeMint, Heritage and Newt and was shocked. Info:
      DeMint/Heritage:
“DeMint is a member of Doug Coe’s secretive and powerful religious group in D.C., “The Family,” …
Their members are allegedly believers, and include politicians from the right and the left, including Hillary Clinton who was quite close to Doug Coe. Jeff Sharlet’s book, The Family, exposes the political and religious leanings of this very secretive and powerful group. Yet, he only infiltrated at the lowest level.
As the new President of Heritage Foundation, DeMint will continue to promote charters, leading to the elimination of school boards, and resulting in unelected councils, or taxation without representation. He’ll also continue to urge states through the State Policy Networks (SPC’s), which are mini Heritages in every state, to adopt vouchers and choice. Any private, religious, or homeschooled child who accepts one penny of tax money from the government, will receive every regulation and requirement of the government schools. Thus, the private, religious and homeschoolers will be eliminated.
..former Heritage president, Ed Feulner, along with radical World Government advocate, Walter Hoffman of the World Federalist Association, participated on the 16 member U.S. Commission on Improving the Effectiveness of the United Nations. Working with the US Information Agency, Feulner also participated in facilitating the infamous 1985 US-Soviet Education Technology and Cultural Exchange Agreement. Jim DeMint will continue Heritage’s agenda.”

It also outlines a standard for charter school sponsoring organizations, and collects data on school closures and canceled charters.
This legislation gives states the power to suspend charters that fail to meet minimum academic or financial standards, and establishes guidelines to prevent conflicts of interest with officers, directors, managers, and employees of charter schools…”

From a 2012 Article by Charlotte Iserbyt about Heritage & NAFTA

“How many of the Heritage Foundation’s supporters (good Americans) realize that the Heritage Foundation came up with the idea for the North American Free Trade Agreement which has resulted in the loss of hundreds of thousands of American jobs? The 1993 Annual Report of the Heritage Foundation of Washington, D.C. dedicated to their twentieth year celebration, revealed the following:

“The idea of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) originated with Heritage Fellow Richard Allen and has long been advocated by Heritage policy analysts…The idea of creating a North American free trade zone from the Yukon to the Yucatan was first proposed by Heritage Distinguished Fellow Richard Allen in the late 1970s, refined by then Presidential candidate Ronald Reagan, and further developed in a major 1986 Foundation study (p. 4).” http://newswithviews.com/iserbyt/iserbyt111.htm

      • A lot of darkness around Ryan. He is smug, angry, and an arrogance about him like he can’t be touched and that he thinks he’s doing America a favor. He seems under pressure from those higher up like he has been somehow been forced into this position. Maybe he owes them his life so to speak. This is not a man who has the people’s best interest in mind. He has heart for his family but not for this job. He speaks more to the politicians to broker this deal but why has he not come out to speak to the American people? Ah, of course he doesn’t because he is in fact NOT our pubic servant! But the ruling class.

These men act more like members of a Mob crew, mafia soldiers or members of an elite men’s club. Rather than public servants. We laugh and joke about them being puppets, but I see it as more sinister than that. The deals and decisions these men make affect American’s very lives and the lives of people all over the world. And the so called freedom caucus? More cowards and incompetence.

In any case, good news is that Ryan would leave on his own accord in a Trump administration. And I just don’t see Ryan sticking around, like this is a temporal thing to fulfill a mission for GOPe and he sees this job as beneath him. He will not stay.

Anyone who even thinks for one moment that Carson could handle this crowd is in serious denial. This is a venomous snake pit! Trump is definitely the only man for this job and make no mistake about it, the Hand of God is opening doors and making the way for Trump. These are very wicked men.

This is their final firewall against a possible Trump presidency: set up both houses of Congress to be totally oppositional and obstructionist to anything Trump might try to do, spend four years doing the rope-a-dope with him, and then fix the subsequent presidential election to make sure no unscheduled event (like Trump) ever happens again (which it looks like they may have failed to successfully do this time around). I, for one, am sick of the martyr act by Ryan. If you don’t want the job, don’t take the job. If you’re going to take the job, then take it and spare us this crap about you “never wanted it”. Even if it’s true (which I doubt), it sounds self-serving. Don’t break your P90X arm patting yourself on the back, there, Paul.

Rep. Babin, Tx, has proposed a halt to immigration until we can get a handle on the cost of the immigration resettlement crowds, especially in states like Babin’s where so many have gone. He said until we know who is coming in and what it will cost the host states in increased aid and schooling cost, we just NEED to pause.
The House that conservatives elected can put this idea to a vote while they choose a Speaker surely. We hope that they can chew gum and walk at the same time. We have the momentum so to heck with Ryan; let’s take a rest from immigration beginning next week.

I applaud Gohmert for his honesty. But that only convinces me all the more that there are very few, very few people patriots can trust to stand with us in our government. I feel like we truly have lost much of our voice, because our Representatives don’t represent us as much as they represent their own personal interests.
I hope and pray that Trump wins and that he inspires true patriots to run for HOR and kick all the RINO’s out.

I listened to hannity on the radio but lately the hair on my neck had been standing up and having Newt in there every day gave me the creeps. Hannity praised Newt as the greatest speaker in decades. I believe those two cooked up some plans there and pulled Demint into it. They are gonna regret it. Hannity I tell you is not trustworthy working with Fox. Newt is an old idiot who can’t stop talking. Newt stuck his nose in the last election and time for him to write childrens books.

Rush’s business is entertainment. Almost anyone can buy commercial time on his show, and I think Heritage has been a sponsor for quite a while. I wouldn’t read too much into it. More disturbing to me is wondering if Heritage has always been what they now seem to be, or if a change occurred (and when and how)?

I heard Gohmert on OAN today but I was on my way out today and could not post …what I heard him say was that the freedom Caucus members were getting calls from Newt Gingrich and Jim DeMint to support Ryan for speaker and that the members were leaning that way because “a lot of promises were being made”…..I thought to myself …I would love to know what they are being promised or blackmailed with.

I used to like Jim DeMint but I had read lately that he was not acting “Tea Party like” since he went to the Heritage foundation. And I have been listening to Newt on Trump and he does not disparage him but he puts these jabs out there that I do not like. He will say he is really smart but he can get a little wacky or something to that effect. I cannot explain it but he will compliment but then then hit with something negative.

So the story lately is that Ryan was all set to get comprehensive amnesty through, but then Eric Cantor’s historic loss threw a wrench in the works and they had to stop. The anti-RINO momentum continues and Boehner is forced to leave. Soon McCarthy, the “lock” for Speaker, drops out.

Now we get Ryan. What pressure was Boehner feeling in order to leave, that Ryan is not feeling? Why are they holding Boehner to one standard, and Ryan to another? The house was so upset with Boehner that they demanded his clone, Paul Ryan, take his place? I don’t get it.

It lets them look like they’re trying to fix things to the folks back home, even though they have no intention of fixing anything. After all, they voted Boehner in in the first place, knowing exactly who he was. That they would replace him with Ryan just proves they are playing us for fools and the republican party is as much the enemy as the democrat party.

Making Ryan Speaker is an endorsement of amnesty. If he becomes Speaker, it will happen. They aren’t considering him because he might not push amnesty, they’re considering him because they know he will.

Wow .. this whole Paul Ryan excitement, coming as it has just before a Repub debate and while Hillary is testifying on Benghazi … carefully orchestrated every step of the way. But it is even more disturbing to me that it also drags Limbaugh and Hannity into it, and crazy old Glen Beck was having a meltdown on his show yesterday about how the Freedom Caucus had come on his show and lied to him. I think they want talk radio out as well, and I listen to a lot of it as I go about my daily life. I gave up my Heritage membership some time ago as I just didn’t see they did much and am so glad now that I did. Jim DeMint? Hannity pushing Gingrich, the seasoned old statesman? Washington DC is a great stinking sewage pond that can probably never be drained entirely, but electing a no nonsense hard worker like DJT would be a magnificent first step.

I wish I could be close to that cause I feel so mad I want to..well you know… Guys like Hannity who take you in with all the sincere words..I really care about the country and conservatives only to be cooking sausage with other back room traitors like the Freedom guys DeMint and Gingrich. That’s a lot of harsh betrayal in one week culminating in Ryan taking charge which is the cherry on the cake. It’s like you find your best friend has been hanging out with your wife. Takes time to digest and get really crazy mad.. Lucky for me I know how to pray and can ask God to quell some of the anger before it manifests in a very negative manner. I’m praying right now still.

As a Heritage Sentinel, I had concerns and sent some emails. From what I have been told, Jim DeMint did not suggest or give any endorsements to any members of the House Freedom Caucus. While he does talk to members all the time, the discussions was about the fight to advance the principles of the Heritage Foundation. Louie Gohmert was given some bad, secondhand information. Ryan does not meet the principle or standards of Heritage.

I wrote the Heritage Foundation to voice my disappointment in De Mint doing this and this is the response I received:
Thank you for contacting The Heritage Foundation.
The report you have heard is inaccurate. Jim DeMint has not endorsed in the Speaker’s race nor made calls in support of any candidate. He talks to members of Congress all the time to encourage them to stay in the fight to advance our principles.
Our sister organization, Heritage Action, produced a report on what conservatives should look for in the next Speaker, which you may be interested in: “Conservative Expectations on House Leadership Races.”
Rest assured that no matter the Congressional leadership, The Heritage Foundation will continue to be your voice for principled conservative change here in Washington. Thank you again for contacting us about your concern, and thank you for all your support.

    Alex Biermann
