Here is a report, just received from Menagerie:

“He’s out! In recovery, heart rhythm appears to be normal. All reports were positive during surgery. The hole was very large. Alex and David will get to be with him within the hour.
All prayers answered. Much gratitude!”

You may have noticed my mention of the verse in Corinthians – faith, hope, love – and how it has surfaced in my thoughts and memories in my comments these last few days.  This photo is from the chapel here at the children’s hospital at Vanderbilt.  I sought it out to say my rosary, and this message was here for me.

Today Baby Conner will be undergoing open heart surgery. – FULL STORY HERE -His surgery is scheduled for 7:00am this morning.

Please keep Conner and his entire family in your thoughts and prayers today as they face this challenge.  As soon as we are provided any updates we will let you know.

We are all praying for ya little fella:

Lord God, we praise You for Your compassion and Your goodness.  Marvelous are Your healing mercies.  Baby Conner’s earthly heart is in need of repair, and we stand together feeling helpless.  But Lord, we are reminded that we are not helpless but powerful in prayer.

Heavenly Father we lift up Conner to You, and we ask for Your healing power upon him. We ask that You guide his surgeons hand and comfort his worried family. Lord, we ask that Conner’s body be healed and we may be worthy of Your mercy.

It is in Your name we pray.
