A Simple Message To The Comfortably Invisible….

patriotMany people just don’t know what to make of all this “stuff” boiling to the surface recently.  Logical people are framing their reference points around their understanding of history, and all this banter about socialism, gun control, confiscated wealth, rogue/ideological modern day politicians from the former Hippie Movement bent on intentionally destroying the United States of America et al,   it just all seems so, well, “out there”.

Yet, damnit, all these predictions are coming true, there must be another explanation.  There must.

You tell yourself: ‘I am an everyday invisible American and this all just seems so crazy to think about.   They won’t take away our right to own guns and defend ourselves.  They can’t.’    You continue thinking:  ‘I’ve thought about buying a gun before, but never did, and now I wonder if I should, but not sure if I’d know what to do….,  but I don’t want to lose the right… or be the last one not able…..   This is crazy thought.’   Yet…..

Then you wonder if you’ll be embarrassed if you talk about it openly.

You think:

What if I open my mouth to my friends, and family, and all of this is wrong?….

My simple reply:

What happens if you don’t, and this is all right?

Which is worse?

This is an excellent article. These issues need to be discussed with everyone who will listen to us. They can and will do these things to us. All of our rights as american citizens are on the line. We need to talk and not be afraid. If we feel we should be armed then we should do it and not worry about what friends or family will say. Wolverines!

I’ve been on the phone 4 times today with friendly reps, one just called me back. I’m telling my wife to not stop me next time I open my mouth in front of unfriendlies the next time. I don’t care about losing stupid friends.

  4. Ugh says:

I haven’t heard what Boehner is thinking about the whole gun control issue, but he would probably vote with the democrats anyway.

    • Sharon says:

I have absolutely no idea what Boehner actually thinks about anything. I’m aware of his most recent public statements (made for effect) but those have only the most connection to anything he might actually think. Is there evidence that he actually does much thinking? I have not noticed it. I’ve noticed survival tactics, Peter Principle evidence and peacekeeper collapse…but not much evidence of thinking.

  5. michellc says:

It’s cool, many in my family already think I’m crazy. One of my brothers just told me tonight that I watch too much tv. I told him I don’t watch tv and he said well you need to stay off the internet getting yourself in a tiff, they aren’t going to take guns. I told him this is the same woman who authored the last bill and she’s never been happy that she was outsmarted and now she has a guy leading the charge who makes Clinton look like a right winger.
He said, well I’m not losing any sleep over it, they can’t take away all the guns. He also thinks we’re too big too fail and thinks stocking up on food is crazy, stocking up on ammo is crazy, fearing the government is crazy. And he’s the one who used to tell anyone that would listen that all democrats are gun grabbing liberals.
Another brother believes it’s very possible, but his answer is just well I’m not turning in my guns and I’m not registering my guns, so they can pass whatever laws they want.
My sister just tells me you’re crazy and worry about the silliest things, you should just live each day like it’s the last and quit worrying about tomorrow all the time.

So besides my immediate family and my fellow crazies online, I’m pretty much in this thing on my own.

    • Sharon says:

So–IOW–you’re the go-to person in your family and they just haven’t figured it out yet.

Apparently they’re all comfortable with assuming the resident and his supporters, who have pretty much taken our country down already, are lying about what they plan to do next? Interesting recommendation for their level of comfort….having to believe that those who are threatening you are lying.

      • michellc says:

Pretty much, from what I gather. I think I’m chicken little to them. All of the things I warned them about if Obama got re-elected because it didn’t happen already, there’s not much reason to pay me much attention. To be fair one brother believes me, he’s just more of I can’t stop it but I won’t go along with it and he also believes the country is going to crash soon. I think he does take some comfort that my family at least has somewhat of a plan and he has a place to come.
My sister treats it and me as a joke.

I do have some friends and neighbors as well, they’re more though on the survival end of things but they have a fear of what is coming, I just don’t think they’ve really settled on what they fear.
But when it comes to the fact that the government can’t be trusted and any talk of communism or government control I keep to myself and immediate family.

        • Sharon says:

Except for our sons, we have no one in our family with ears to hear. Many of them prefer to “pray for the authorities” as it says in Romans 13, and apparently feel no compunction to resist evil committed by those authorities. Go figure. Just like the church in Germany in 1933. Exactly like the church in Germany which ended up hated Dietrich Bonhoeffer as much as the Nazis did, because he just kept on using his brain, his conscience, his courage and his faith as all hell broke loose.

I suppose they thought he made them look bad.

    • czarowniczy says:

People who do not think the US could be flipped virtually overnight probably dismiss what happened to the Soviet Union. Almost overnight it went from the world’s #2 power to a bankrupt, hollow shell of its former self. In just two years Russia lost about all of the territory it had conquered/annexed in the previous 250 years. Blocs of former Communists who controlled enough people with guns took over the state factories and whatever else areas of production they could, for years it was a nuclear-armed cleptocracy (yeah, yeah, yeah, a lot in common with Congress). Its leaders brought it down, some would say on purpose to meet their own ends, but for whatever reason the world’s #2 power went from superpower to drunk in the gutter in the blink of a historical eye. Were it not for the ex-Communists like Putin who managed to grab power and leverage Russia’s immense petro reserves Russia would be in a far worse shape today than it is. The US has a lot of the political, economic and ethnic problems that Russia had pre-1990 and, looking back at the 2008 meltdown and our even more precarious economic situation now, I think it wouldn’t take much more than another 2008-sized screw up to push us over the edge and into a Washington-based police state.

      • ThatOldGuy says:

2008-sized? We’ll be lucky if it’s just that.

By no stretch of the imagination have any of the systemic problems that yielded 2008 been addressed. The unfortunate thing is that the market correction cannot be avoided. Things may even start to look up just before the market makes its correction, just as it was with the Great Depression and its Roaring Twenties, and the 70s with the 50s & 60s, and 2008 with the years preceding it. The people “fixing” the economy are the people that got us into this mess. They broke it, and to “fix” it, they’re doing more of what broke it in the first place (and to a far greater degree!).

And with the eventuality that 3,000 drones will be overhead the US by 2020, the talk of gun control in the works (in conjunction with the purchase of 1.6 billion rounds of ammo by the government), the enduring warfare abroad, and the ability for federal agents to write themselves search warrants, the police state has already begun. The last time government agents had this last power, through the Writs of Assistance Act, it sparked a revolution.

        • czarowniczy says:

The 2008 problem started when the US abandoned the gold standard. The dollar was backed by gold, an international commodity with a set price. The various money manipulators were not happy with that, they wanted the shackles removed so we went to what basically amounted to a dollar backed by some securities valued at about 10% of the dollar’s value with those securities in turn back by about 10% of their value in gold. Overnight the dollar’s ‘value’ went up some 1000 times. Anyone remember the Silver Certificate? Originally you could go in and get a $1’s worth of silver for that piece of paper (In theory at least). It disappeared along with all of the coins whose value in silver was contained in those coins; the last vestige of a sound currency was strangled. . 2008 was just the huge economic mess we’d created finally stumbling and falling on its face. The main thing backing the dollar was our manufacturing capabilities, our huge gold supply and our huge nuclear strike capability, now all that’s left is the gold with China and various oil-producing nations holding the pawn ticket on that. I’m just waiting for the next jackboot to drop.

          • ThatOldGuy says:

            Pretty much.

I’d say the problems started in 1913 with the establishment of the Federal Reserve. The second structural problem is the fractional reserve banking system we have, which is basically a fraudulent operation. Both of these factors allow for the increase of the money supply, at will, which causes the boom-bust cycles that yield recessions and impoverish us.

The gold standard was a valid constraint on the money manipulating capabilities of TPTB, which meant it of course had to go. So, over time the gold standard was diluted through various changes in its definition, ending in 1971 under Nixon when he essentially declared bankruptcy when he said that the government would not redeem gold for money. The Bretton Woods system was nothing like a gold standard, but it still provided *some* constraint–which is why it had to go.

A Putnam County, NY, official just on Hannitty, head on blasting the Journal who posted the interactive map with all the gun-owners names and addresses….he said, “We’re gonna fight this battle until hell freezes over, and then we’ll fight on the ice.”

Wonder if it’s too late for him to be made Speaker of the House.

  7. LouDaJew says:

I’ve always owned guns, and it doesn’t matter because the government already knows about it. Even before the Brady Bill, they knew which weapons I’ve owned. I think as we grow older it becomes more important to carry one on our person just in case we are attacked by some young crazy loon who hates white people and tweets about attacking crackaz. It’s almost become a white thing to have a gun on your person, but even for someone that doesn’t own one, it’s important because the crazy loon that may bash your head into the ground doesn’t know if you’re carrying or not. the young loon will think twice before they assault you. the gun grabber that doesn’t carry benefits from this as well.

Actually, I’ve been openly discussing the Agenda with complete strangers since teh Won arrived on the scene as a candidate back in 2007, and I am amazed at the people who are anxious to discuss their concerns and are relieved that they aren’t outliers … that others feel the same. That has gone up by a factor of 100% lately. It’s like group therapy, or something.

  9. lovemygirl says:

OK, I did try the writing and calling to friendly reps, thanking them, but I am still invisible. I have started with the unfriendly reps (no returns as of yet). I did explain to a couple of young unfriendlies tonight. The daughter (the one that thought Romney wanted to ban birth control) and her BF that even if they did not like their dad having a gun (the one that I outshoot at the range) they need to be extremely concerned with the law they are trying to pass tomorrow in IL. The BF kind of understood when I told him gun ranges would be regulated and his father’s guns were on the block.

    I’m done being silent!

A letter to the Govenor. (Quinn) which naughty list am I on?

I do support having all private sales going through FFL dealers so honest citizens do not accidentally sell to people that should not have them. I do support tightening laws that prevent straw man purchases. I am 100% against anything that restricts honest citizens from owning the firearm they choose.

Do not even think about passing HB 815 amendment 1 & 2 and HB 1263 amendments 5 & 6. This piece of you know what isn’t even worth the paper it is written upon. Your helping push this through during a lame duck session tells me everything I need to know about your morals. No responsible gun owner in your state expected to see this after the Holidays.

  13. This is some food for thought It is long but read it.
    Communist Goals (1963)
    Documention below
    Congressional Record–Appendix, pp. A34-A35
    January 10, 1963
    Current Communist Goals
    Thursday, January 10, 1963

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.
At Mrs. Nordman’s request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following “Current Communist Goals,” which she identifies as an excerpt from “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen:
[From “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen]
    1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
    2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
    3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
    4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
    5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
    6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
    7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
    8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
    9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
    10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
    11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
    12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
    13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
    14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
    15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
    16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
    17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
    18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
    19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
    20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
    21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
    22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”
    23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”
    24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
    25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
    26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
    27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”
    28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
    29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
    30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
    31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
    32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
    33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
    34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
    35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
    36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
    37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
    38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
    39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
    40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
    41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
    42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [“]united force[“] to solve economic, political or social problems.
    43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
    44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
    45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

  14. Another piece of information: There are 70 self proclaimed socialists in the democrat caucus in the House of Reps, also when reading the above post check off how many of the communist goals have already been reached just in the past 4 years. Gun confiscation is one of the last items before total takeover.
