During a Thursday afternoon press conference, Nancy Pelosi offered glowing praise for all those participating in the “Occupy Wall Street” protests. “God bless them,” Pelosi said, “for their spontaneity. It’s independent…it’s young, it’s spontaneous, and it’s focused. And it’s going to be effective.  The message of the protesters is a message for the establishment everyplace,” said the House Democrats’ leader. “No longer will the recklessness of some on Wall Street cause massive joblessness on Main Street.”
Of course no one at the press conference bothered to ask Ms. Pelosi about the law-breaking and subsequent arrest of roughly 700 protesters when they swarmed the Brooklyn Bridge and shut down traffic for several hours.  They must have already got the message that it’s only the Tea Party that is “un-American” and “carrying swastikas“.
