Thanks a lot for giving the lefty media a new shiney flashy GOP morale deflator Newt. Dallas (CNN) – Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich might not want to count on a presidential endorsement from South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. In an interview with CNN Tuesday, Haley sharply admonished Gingrich for his comments over the weekend disparaging the Medicare plan proposed by House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan as “radical change” and “right-wing social engineering.”
The remarks opened a floodgate of conservative criticism, with elite opinion writers on down to Iowa voters accusing Gingrich of throwing his own party under the bus and making it easier for Democrats to attack the Ryan plan. Haley, whose promise to endorse a presidential candidate has made her a key power broker in the Republican primary fight, joined in the chorus Tuesday and said she is “terribly disappointed” in Gingrich.
“What he said was absolutely unfortunate,” Haley told CNN in a phone interview. “Here you’ve got Representative Ryan trying to bring common sense to this world of insanity, and Newt absolutely cut him off at the knees.” “When you have a conservative fighting for real change, the last thing we need is a presidential candidate cutting him off at the knees,” she added. Michael Steele Defends Newt Gingrich Over Ryan Plan Comments, Accuses Opponents of “Trying to Stir up a Little Cock Fight”…

HOST: A lot of House Republicans and others in the party are sort of unhappy with him, what are your thoughts on that?

STEELE: Well, I think, I watched Newt respond to that since that interview. … And, you know, you could quibble with the words or whatever and I understand that, but what I think Newt was trying to say is that there are a broad range of budget plans and neither the right nor the left in extreme measures will be able to move with the American people in a new direction. That’s part of the debate.

And keep in mind about the Ryan budget, a lot of the people that are sort of running around and trying to stir up a little cock fight about what Newt Gingrich said, a year a go were saying that the Ryan plan was not their plan. That it was Paul Ryan’s plan, not their plan. … What people don’t endorse today, they’ll endorse tomorrow.

This is EXACTLY why I previously shared an opinion that Newt Gingrich is a “Toxic Asset”. His comments were nothing short of endless ammunition for the left. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. We have enough nasty dismissive hate coming from the progressives, the leftists, and the lefty media, without giving them more ammunition to jump on our morale.   Division is a strategy for defeating and enemy. We are the enemy to the left. Newt Gingrich has provided the division from inside our ranks. That is why he is a toxic asset. It is also why he would be an absolutely horrid executive officer. He is so far removed from being ‘servant minded’ that the light eminating from the origin of humility could never reach him. He is just plain selfish…../SD
