There is a particularly snarky karmic irony here….  When Mr. Lama was asked his opinion about Obama killing Osama, he pretty much said ‘I’m cool with it’. 😀 (LA Times) — As the leader of Tibetan Buddhism, the 14th Dalai Lama says he practices compassion to such an extent that he tries to avoid swatting mosquitoes “when my mood is good and there is no danger of malaria,” sometimes watching with interest as they swell with his blood. Yet, in an appearance Tuesday at USC, he appeared to suggest that the United States was justified in killing Osama bin Laden.
As a human being, Bin Laden may have deserved compassion and even forgiveness, the Dalai Lama said in answer to a question about the assassination of the Al Qaeda leader. But, he said, “Forgiveness doesn’t mean forget what happened. … If something is serious and it is necessary to take counter-measures, you have to take counter-measures.” (read more)

"Forgiveness doesn’t mean forget what happened" - Dalai Lama 2011

Ya gotta admit that’s a little funny.  Obama went “out of his way” to insure muslim sensitivities were regarded in his handling of the Osama Bin Laden capture/killing.  He even had Islamic Prayers and a Muslim burial service for the worlds most wanted terrorist.  Yet despite his efforts at appeasement the entire Islamic world is hating on Obama is an even more forceful way than before.   The angry shouts of violent extremism are everywhere.  So you can state fairly confidently that Obama failed in his appeasement considerations.   Islamists and Muslims everywhere still hate us, just like they did before.  He could have ordered a viking funeral with the body of Bin Laden roasted inside a pig and the reaction would have been exactly the same.  Appeasement fails.  Yet another MASSIVE Obama fail ……
Then the worlds most non-violent pacifist is asked about it while everyone expects him to express discontent, concern, even sorrow for Bin Laden’s death; and instead the pacifist says meh’ notsobad… 😀   “forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting”.   😀  Well said, Mr. Lama, well said.
