We have discussed extensively the difference between Progressive/Liberal ideology and Conservative ideology.   But I think perhaps it is time to reinforce something very important.   LIBERALS DO NOT CARE HOW THEY ARE PERCEIVED.  Every end justifies their means.  Period.   One only has to look at recent events to find examples of their ridiculous behavior, and our inherently flawed approach that “it makes them look silly, childish, foolish, et al”.  They just don’t care.
The media will excuse every hateful, violent, childish, immature behavior on their part and the progressives know it.  You see, conservatives worry about the perception of others, it is our achiles heel.  Progressives liberals do not care about perception.  It is all about reaching a goal, a communal goal of utopia.   Think about how Obamacare was passed, the progressives totally ignored any populus opinion and rammed through the most extensive progressive legislation in the history of modern politics.   The do not care how they are perceived, or what the majority thinks of their techniques and approaches.   But conservatives continually ‘cave’ to the pressure of ‘concern’.   This is what makes conservatives weak.   It is happening everywhere right now.   Conservative majorities have been put into place in state houses across the country and the response from the progressives is to rise up, leave, walk out, no-matter what it looks like.
Eventually, the progressives know if they hold out long enough they will win.  It works every time.  The media will focus on the support the progressives have and make it look like they are on the right side of any issue.  Eventually the conservative leader mistakenly falls prey to his/her own concern about perception and immediately the Progressive wins.  That is how they roll.   This is why it is so important to reach out to conservatives and reinforce to them, whoever they are, that we support their stance and position.  If we do not, the creeping worry of perception and subsequent guilt leads to compromises in principled positions.  There are some issues that reach beyond the framework of concession and compromise and strike at the very core of conservative belief.  Those issues must not EVER be allowed to fall prey to public, or media pressures.
Here is the beginning of a thread of contact information for people who would benefit from hearing words of encouragement from us. That way we TreeHouser’s can e-mail, fax, call, or otherwise show support. Reaffirm the positives. Reaffirm our core beliefs when these people stand firm in the face of progressive opposition.  These are some of the people who really could use a boost of appreciation from us.   That way we can reinforce them so they just don’t hear/see all the opposition and allow their inherent conservative ‘fears’ to lead them to a position of compromise.
Please add to this list in the comments section and we will update frequently.  We will also post this as a permanent link on the TreeHouse for reference.   Please add your suggestions so we may be able to grow this list and support True Principled Conservatives.  Thank you.
