The FDU poll of 825 Registered voters reflects an exceptionally broad base of electoral support for candidate Donald Trump.

[…] Twenty-six percent of registered Republicans say they would vote for Trump if the election were held today with similar numbers (22%) identifying Carson as their candidate of choice. No other candidate achieved double digit status in the poll, with many “Establishment” candidates mired in the single digits. For example, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie — both early frontrunner contenders — attract the support of seven and three percent of registered Republicans, respectively. Former CEO of Hewlett-Packard Carly Fiorina, the sole woman amongst the crowded field, garners seven percent.
