It appears Islamist Umar Lee was not the perpetrator of last night’s bottle bombs. Which begs the question, then what “major” event is he planning in the Saint Louis area that will put him in jail?
WENTZVILLE  •  Two juveniles who police believe are responsible for setting off a series of “Drano bombs” over the weekend were arrested late Sunday.
At least six of the makeshift soda bottle bombs exploded between 10 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Sunday in various spots, including the Bear Creek Subdivision and in front of the police department.   One resident suffered minor injuries after he picked up a device, and it burst on him.
The mixture of Drano and tin foil creates gas that builds up and detonates. The amount of force generated by the explosion is enough to sever fingers and deliver second- and third-degree chemical burns to victims, according to officials.
Police declined to give the sex or age of the juveniles but said the two were arrested after developing a lead from surveillance video taken at the police department.
A review of the video showed a grey four-door, mid-size sedan with a sunroof pulling into the front drive, then throwing a bottle.  (link)
