I demand an immediate Eric Holder investigation into the racism of the Beaver clan.
(OREGON) Oregon State fired head coach Craig Robinson on Sunday, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. In six seasons, Robinson went 94-105 with no NCAA tournament appearances. The Beavers went 16-16 last season and are losing all five starters from that team.
The biggest surprise of the firing of Robinson, the brother-in-law of President Barack Obama, comes with the timing. Oregon State’s season ended six weeks ago with a loss to Radford in the CBI and Robinson had reportedly received support from Oregon State’s administration. Robinson has three more years remaining on this contract and the university is expected to owe him more than $4 million.
Robinson began his tenure with a 18-win season in 2008-09, as he took a team that had lost 21 consecutive Pac-10 games and put the program on the right track. That coincided with the election campaign of Obama, as Robinson introduced his sister, Michelle Obama, at the Democratic National convention in the summer of 2008. From there, Robinson had uneven results at one of the Pac-12’s hardest jobs. He’s finished with a 39-69 record in Pac-12 play. (read more)
