Islamapologist Tom Brokaw: It’s Our Fault Islamists Hate Us… We Are Not Warm And Fuzzy Enough Toward The Bomb Carriers…

Typical ‘America Sucks’ leftist perspective.   When Rush Limbaugh predicted the media would “circle the wagons” if the bombers were muslim perhaps he should have gone wolverine and predicted they would actually BLAME US for it.

liberal-menatl-disorder-275x75Brokaw represents Modern-Progressive Perspective.  This is how the current Democrat Party followers actually think and believe.   Don’t make excuses for them, or try to rationalize what they are saying – just accept it.   Modern progs hate America, they hate everything about America, they hate freedom and principles of freedom.   Everything bad that happens is “our fault”, and nothing is the fault of their ideological followers.

If you doubt this is actually their view, think about what they would be saying if the Boston Bomber was a Tea Party member.   Do you think they would be saying it’s “our fault” for not accepting a smaller government model more in line with the foundational principle of our republic?  ……  Ha, not even close.

(Via Daily Caller)  Former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw strongly suggested Sunday that America is partly to blame for the gruesome terrorists attacks in Boston, because the young, Muslim men involved may have felt “alienated” and angry over U.S. drone strikes on “innocent civilians” in Muslim countries abroad.

Brokaw, who has been playing the role of media elder statesman since retiring, went on NBC’s “Meet the Press” with host David Gregory to discuss last week’s Boston bombings, which killed three and injured 183.

“There are a couple of things to remember here, David, I think for all of us,” Brokaw intoned. “With the death of Osama bin Laden, Islamic rage did not go away. In fact, in some ways it’s more dangerous. This is a perfect example.”

He said Americans need to take a hard look at “the roots” of why so many Muslims, including Americanized terrorists like the Tsarnaev brothers in Boston, want to kill them.

“There’s a lot that we still need to know about what motivated them, obviously,” Brokaw said, noting the Muslim faith of both bombers. “And the fact is that that Islamic rage is still out there.”  (read more)

Are these the type of Muslims that that Brokaw wants us to give Warm Fuzzy Hugs to?? There are very young Muslim children using some very Obscene language.

  2. maryfrommarin says:

“Islamic rage is still out there”. Well, duh, Tom. And you think that feeling sympathetic or trying to “understand” them will make it go away?

“The stupid is strong with this one.” (I know I must have heard that somewhere before, because it’s too good for me to have just made it up.)

    • Rick Madigan says:

I heard that one growing up, its rare, but so appropriate here!

(The force is strong with this one, originally said by Darth Vader about Luke Skywalker)

  3. Tom, shut up and get your ass down here…
Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, and John Chancellor need a fourth for bridge.

  4. nomorebsplease says:

Islamic rage is still here…maybe this dopey dingbat lib can ask what started it in the first place. White libs are the most gutless pieces of garbage out there.

  5. Maybe if America gave up its guns, the Moslems would just go away.

  6. Burnt Toast says:

“He said Americans need to take a hard look at “the roots” of why so many Muslims, including Americanized terrorists like the Tsarnaev brothers in Boston, want to kill them.”

Easy – We are not muslims.

    • Rick Madigan says:

That it is implied that there is any root reason to kill anyone is the WOW factor here!

And to want to kill Americans, those whose country you are trying to be a part of, but its not they who need to take a hard look at their lack of logic, but Americans who need to take a hard look at the roots, whatever those are.

  9. Rick Madigan says:

“Modern progs hate America, they hate everything about America, they hate freedom and principles of freedom. Everything bad that happens is “our fault”, and nothing is the fault of their ideological followers.”

After 911 there was a big push back on the Muslim population, but in ten years we were actually considering building a mosque by Ground Zero, debating about the necessity of Sharia law, having more and more Americans convert to Islam and accommodating Muslims in every area of public and social life, whether its a Disney princess who needs to wear her hijab, or targeting companies which don’t allow headwear for safety processes, saying bacon on field is a threat to Islam, buying halal meat at McDonalds and winning millions in a suit when not provided halal meat as promised, oh and more importantly electing a Dhimmi President who was educated in Islamic schools, and stops short of a full bow to a Muslim ruler.

    We are a Dhimmified nation.

And if the Islumists get their way, the modern progs will be first to feel the brunt of what its like to be without freedom of the speech that allows them to say hateful things of America.

  10. michellc says:

Is there anyone Islam doesn’t want to kill?
I don’t need to look into why, I know why.

Quran (3:151) – “Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority”.
Quran (4:74) – “Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward.”
Quran (4:89) – “They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks.”

Quran (8:12) – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them”
Quran (9:30) – “And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!”

Quran (17:16) – “And when We wish to destroy a town, We send Our commandment to the people of it who lead easy lives, but they transgress therein; thus the word proves true against it, so We destroy it with utter destruction.”
Quran (61:4) – “Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way” Religion of Peace, indeed! This is followed by (61:9): “He it is who has sent His Messenger (Mohammed) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam) to make it victorious over all religions even though the infidels may resist.”

  12. michellc says:

I keep wondering about the wife. From what I’ve read she converted to Islam, pretty much gave up her life to marry the older brother and embrace Islam. Even after he beat her. She had to know that he went for training. What else did she know?
Maybe that is unfair and maybe she was scared of him and just did as she was told and didn’t know why he left for 6 months and just relieved he was gone.
But I still can’t help but wonder someone who changed her entire life for a man, how far was she willing to go?

      • michellc says:

This statement by the parents is more than a little nuts.

Our daughter has lost her husband today, the father of her child.(Cry me a river, your daughter’s husband the father of her child blew people up.)
We cannot begin to comprehend how this terrible tragedy occurred.(Really? You’re daughter gets pregnant by an Islamist, your daughter converts to Islam and you know nothing of Islam??
In the aftermath of the Patriot’s Day Horror we know that we never really knew Tamerlane Tsarnaev.(Again really? I kind of think after 9/11, when my daughter said, “mom, dad I’m pregnant and the daddy is Islam, would have certainly had me learning everything I could about Islam. When your daughter said, “mom, dad I’m converting to Islam, I think surely by then I would want to learn what my daughter was becoming.)

      • ytz4mee says:

        Debbie Schlussel nails it.
I am more than fed up with the syncophantic lamentation that somehow Tsarnaev “brainwashed” her. Ha! He was just reaping what had already been sown. The far left Liberal public school system of Boston and her own parents brainwashed her.
She wanted to join the “Peace Corps”, and I’m sure since she was old enough to babble, she’s been told over and over and over again that all cultures are “equivalent and equal”, that “diversity is good”, and that tolerance to OTHER people’s cultures and belief systems is the most important goal – even more than being true to your own culture of individual freedom and liberty. I’m sure she felt she had reached the highest pinnacle of Liberalism by accepting Islam and feeling good about her “progressiveness”.

No. This wasn’t a case of a Islamist brainwashing an all-American schoolgirl. Nice try, liberal media. This was a case of the Progressive ideology coming home to roost.
Full fruition of everything they had taught her to believe, including to have no core values of her own.

        • michellc says:

Remember back in the 80′s when Iranians seemed to show up in herds? Girls were lining up to be with them. I remember one story of a girl’s parents stating to anyone who would listen, how he wouldn’t have been their first choice for their daughter, but he was a nice boy, just different but they could learn from each other. He ended up beating their daughter too putting her in the hospital. Her beating that time was because she failed to lower her head when a man walked in front of her. Her parents then played the same excuse, we don’t how this happened, he seemed like such a nice boy, he wasn’t who we thought he was. I mean really did they think he was a choir boy? Their daughter changed for him, even they changed for him, how they cooked, how they lived, yet they didn’t know how this happened?

      • michellc says:

Those pictures kind of gave me the creeps. Her dad was smiling and she was smiling as she was leaving her house.

    • canadacan says:

He beat his girlfriend too and he wasn’t even living with his wife he had basically deserted his wife.

      • michellc says:

Not according to the daily mail article along with many others. The wife was getting stuff from the house she shared with him and the wife was who he beat.

        • canadacan says:

I’m number of articles refer to both a wife and a girlfriend two different people. the girlfriend as well as a wife for were picked up for questioning.

          • canadacan says:

The girlfriend was picked up for questioning.

          • michellc says:

Early on I know they were saying girlfriend but now they’re saying girlfriend became wife and wife is the Russell girl and she was the one he beat.

            • ytz4mee says:

There was a girlfriend and the putative “wife” Russell.

              • michellc says:

Did the girlfriend convert to Islam as well? As far as you can believe the media and it is coming from several sources now including friends and family, this Russell woman the wife or at least calls herself his wife and his family seems to assume is his wife was the one he was charged with beating.

    • ytz4mee says:

It has been reported that the wife worked 70 – 80 hours per week in a low wage job as a “health care aide” while he sat on his ass at home and “took care of the baby”. That gave him lots of hours for evil.

      • michellc says:

Which again makes you wonder what did she know? What part did she play? It’s hard for me to believe as she seemed to be obedient to him that he would have hid his plans from her, what would be the need?

        • ytz4mee says:

She was an expendable dhimmi sharmuta, like they all are.

There were untold local girls in Pensacola, FL who literally threw themselves at the Saudi flight students who were in training there. The pick up line they used to keep them on the hook was that they were all going to be “Princesses” because they were sleeping with and whoring themselves with Saudi “royalty”. The line up was endless.
They preferred big breasted blondes without any college education.

      • janc1955 says:

My mom was fairly socially liberal, but I know for a fact she would’ve snatched me up by the short hairs about the time I started making “conversion” noises. And I don’t even want to contemplate what she would’ve done to any boyfriend who laid a hand on me. I can’t fathom how these parents thought it was a good idea that their eldest daughter, who appeared to have a future before meeting Boston Bomber #1, went fully down the rabbit hole — converting to Islam, working long hours at a minimum wage job, taking beatings from and having a child with a piece of human garbage. That was all just a-okay with them? It’s one thing to be open-minded and not insist your daughter date only WASPs. It’s another thing entirely to hand her over — without a fight — to what will surely be a lifetime of misery. Their response to this entire nightmare is beyond bizarre.

My comment is awaiting moderation? [sniffle]

        • Sharon says:

I can’t fathom how these parents thought it was a good idea

Deception explains most of it. Deception at one level or another explains almost everything that is burning our brains today.

Believing that there are no consequences for bad behavior: deception.
Believing that other people ought to give me their property (money and food/ ala welfare) indefinitely, and that somehow, somebody somewhere can make that work indefinitely: deception.
Believing that a daughter can get caught up in the world of Islam and it’ll be ok: Deception.
Believing that Islam is “just another religion”: Deception.
Believing that it’s wrong to speak ill of the POTUS and ask him hard questions: Deception.
Comforting oneself in the presence of troubling and increasing understanding…comforting oneself with the thought that: “Well, if there was really anything wrong, Congress would step in.” Deception.
Not being concerned about the reality that our nation has been without a budget for five years now: Only possible in the mind of a deceived person–they have accepted deception as the answer to the bit of troubling insight they do have. Just a little bit of deception goes a long, long way toward calming the nerves.
Not daring to publicly confront someone who’s lying: Deception. Being deceived that it’s more important to be nice than to identify a liar. That’s deception.

Check it out….all of the “impossible to believe” situations that we are being ramrodded with day after day after day after day after day. Go and look at the headlines on Bad Blue or Drudge. Answer this question: where’s the deception? It’s there. Just spend a minute thinking about it.

It will either be in the contents of the article or in the reaction of some group (Congress, progs, media, Islam, everyday people) to the information.

Deception has become internalized in the day to day breath of this formerly great Republic. It’s too late to analyze and respond to the collapse event-by-event. The only possible way to daylight is willingness to see how deep the deception is.

And then start to figure out who can be saved and what can be salvaged. Once-in-a-lifetime economic, personal, spiritual, non-spiritual, national and local triage is just ahead, and every single one of us will decide what can be saved and what be salvaged.

And keep in mind–a refusal to make the hard decisions is still a decision.

I’m getting a little tired of Mark Levin trying to distinguish himself by mocking the conspiracy theorists, because half the time he does, he immediately follows up by describing something that is an exposure of a previous conspiracy that is now unfolding….but he’s inoculated himself against not being called a conspiracy theorist because he just mocked them, right before describing a theory. So when he does it, it’s not a “conspiracy theory” but a balanced statement resulting from great insight? I love Mark Levin, but he doesn’t do my thinking for me either.

There’s not time right now to process all that’s happening.

So what’s my point? My point is to stop assuming there’s going to be time to process all that’s happening. Accept that you, personally, are going to be faced with the decision as to what can be salvaged and what has to be let go. (And that includes relationships where you’re dealing with a deceived person.)

None of us had better let ourselves get into the “savior role” with anybody–not family members and not friends. Those who refuse to see and refuse to think will start screaming for help when they realize that we were telling the truth. If they won’t accept your integrity and your common sense insights now, before the crisis, why on earth does it make sense to accept them as an albatross around your neck after they panic? Let them come along as you begin the 75 mile forced march (allegorical) but tell them in so many words in the first five minutes: “Ok. You can join the wagon train. But everyone on the wagon train will do for themselves. If you refuse to do for yourself, we won’t get mad, but we will just walk on.”

  13. BertDilbert says:

I don’t agree with Brokaw’s fist part of we have to do more to make them feel at “home” . However when dealing with people who take an eye for an eye seriously, we should take into consideration drone attacks. My first thought on this was it was going to turn into a Muslim pissed about drone attacks in Pakistan.

Immigrants over the years have typically clustered, making their own ethnic communities, thus creating their own “home” areas.

    • Sharon says:

We don’t have control over the scheduling of drone attacks: the POTUS does. Do you think he will consider launching drone attacks on Muslims on American territory?

  14. coachanthony79 says:

So yesterday, Brokaw quips “There’s a lot that we still need to know about what motivated them, obviously,” regarding the Boston Terrorists. Really, Tom, you don’t know about Isalmist-Extremists who hate America, who despise the West and who would shoot you down in a New York Minute??
Hmmmm, one wonders if Brokaw knows ANYTHING! Here he is in 2008 demonstrating how he “just doesn’t know”. Gee, Tom, aren’t you supposed to be a journalist???

    Japan & Muslims, Why The
West Do Not Learn From Them
The Japanese are a very evolved race.
Have you ever read in the newspaper that a political leader or a prime
minister from an Islamic nation has visited Japan?
Have you ever come across news that the Ayatollah of Iran or the King of
Saudi Arabia or even a Saudi Prince has visited Japan?
Japan is a country keeping Islam at bay.
Japan has put strict restrictions on Islam and ALL Muslims.
    The reasons are:
    a) Japan is the only nation that does not give citizenship to Muslims.
    b) In Japan permanent residency is not given to Muslims.
    c) There is a strong ban on the propagation of Islam in Japan.
    d) In the University of Japan, Arabic or any Islamic language is not taught.
    e) One cannot import a ‘Koran’ published in the Arabic language.
    f) According to data published by the Japanese government, it has given
temporary residency to only 2 lakhs, Muslims, who must follow the Japanese
Law of the Land. These Muslims should speak Japanese and carry their
    religious rituals in their homes.
    g) Japan is the only country in the world that has a negligible number of
    embassies in Islamic countries.
    h) Japanese people are not attracted to Islam at all.
    I) Muslims residing in Japan are the employees of foreign companies.
    j) Even today, visas are not granted to Muslim doctors, engineers or
    managers sent by foreign companies.
    k) In the majority of companies it is stated in their regulations that no
Muslims should apply for a job.
    l) The Japanese government is of the opinion that Muslims are fundamentalist
and even in the era of globalization they are not willing to change their
    Muslim laws.
    m) Muslims cannot even think about renting a house in Japan.
    n) If anyone comes to know that his neighbor is a Muslim then the whole
    neighborhood stays alert.
    o) No one can start an Islamic cell or Arabic ‘Madrasa’ in Japan
    p) There is no Sharia law in Japan.
    q) If a Japanese woman marries a Muslim then she is considered an outcast
    r) According to Mr. Kumiko Yagi, Professor of Arab/Islamic Studies at Tokyo
University of Foreign Studies, “There is a mind frame in Japan that Islam is
a very narrow minded religion and one should stay away from it.”
    s) Freelance journalist Mohammed Juber toured many Islamic countries after
9/11 including Japan. He found that the Japanese were confident that
extremists could do no harm in Japan.
My personal estimation of the Japanese has risen dramatically !

    • Sharon says:

Interesting information, but if you’re not sure of its accuracy, I’m not sure why your personal estimation of the Japanese would rise dramatically based on it.

  16. czarowniczy says:

First off, I’m more comfortable with the members of the Religion of Peace hating me outright; it’s so disconcerting to be murdered by someone fawning over you as they push the button on the remote. Secondly, HEY Tom, the guy pushing the launch-the-Hellfire button is your poster child for American progressive minority advancement. Thirdly, it was never the intent for Islamic rage to go away when we paid OBL a house call – it was to make him go away. The only thing that will make Islamic rage go away is if we all go away (you included). Finally, talk to the doc about upping the Aricept dose, what you’re on just ain’t working.

  17. videosavant says:

The “roots” of why so many Muslims hate America?

Call on me! Call on me! Damn…I know this one!

    It’s the Koran, you moron.

  18. brocahontas says:

Okay, it is good to look at oneself during conflict and see if we are being reasonable or are at fault but…no one injured at the marathon had anything to do with drones in the Middle East. If they were mad about that they should attack the US military or the President who is ordering the attacks. Terrorist tactics will not work because they tend to piss people off and you are not at all harming your enemies ability to project force.

Brokaw is simply a coward. There is not much more to it. “Progressives” in general are simply cowards. They don’t mind guilt so much, attacking themselves comes easy but they are incredibly afraid of confrontation with the enemy. Their fear of confrontation is the root of their submissiveness to evil. It is as if the enemy has taken over their minds and wills and uses “progressives’” minds and wills against them and against those with whom they associate.

  19. Chip Bennett says:

What an idiot – a dangerous, progressive, idiot (but I repeat myself).

Try selling that naval-gazing, America-hating garbage to those injured in the terrorist attack. Try looking into the eyes of the family of those who were killed, and saying that, you jackwagon.

    • michellc says:

Something tells me these victims aren’t going to get the same kind of red carpet treatment the Newtown families were given. But then the Newtown families who were against their agenda didn’t get the red carpet treatment either.
