Following The Saudi Angle – Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi Terrorist Ties and Obama Administration Avoidance

It is perhaps serendipity the name Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi surfaced during the investigation of the Boston Bombing, “perhaps“.   A name the administration would just as soon be forgotten.

abdul Rahman Ali al-Harbi

Indeed if you rely on the water-carrying media to follow the story it’s probably the last time anyone will ever discuss the Saudi national, college student, and his powerful family connections.    But some within the new media, in addition to Glenn Beck, are staying on the story.

Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi was injured and hospitalized during the bombing.   Subsequently two high level meetings with his family’s interested representatives were conducted by both Secretary of State John Kerry and President Obama himself.    Michelle Obama even went to the hospital where Ali Al Harbi was being cared for and paid him a personal visit.

But why does he matter?

Before getting into why he matters, perhaps an outline of the most likely scenario of his surfacing importance is needed.

Immediately following the bombing, while  Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi was still in the hospital, a warrant was delivered and his apartment was immediately searched by the FBI.    This happened on the same day as the bombing itself.

The most probable answer to why is because he was already a known entity on the national security radar.   The search of his apartment and associations so quickly was more likely an outcome of previous tracking – and “watch listing“.

Subsequently he was cleared by investigators, or so the story is told;  But oddly he was also deported under the auspices of “national security“.   The obvious question arrises:   If he was not involved, and cleared, then why deport him?

Again, applying Occam’s razor to the known activity surrounding events, it is most likely the conversations with his family and Saudi officials led to the decision.  The “why” remains a mystery – but knowing the family ties, and the administration ties to the family, it certainly raises multiple levels of suspicion.

Glenn Beck has made a strange pronouncement when he says he is giving the administration until Monday to come clean on Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, after which time Beck will reveal more background on him.   It will be interesting to see what develops.

In the interim, here is what we previously outlined last week surrounding his known associations and connections:

On Monday night 4/15/13 (the day of the Boston Bombing) new media reports from the Boston area discussed that an apartment belonging to a Saudi National, Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, in Revere Mass, was searched by FBI and Law enforcement. Abdul was in the U.S. on a student visa.

deputy fd scene

Immediately following this report I checked this site and found Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi lived in Revere, Mass (Boston suburb) at an apartment on the 5th floor. #503 – That listing is now scrubbed, gone, disappeared…. down the rabbit hole.

The next morning, Tuesday, the following media report appeared on the newswire:

A meeting Secretary of State John Kerry was to hold with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal was abruptly closed to press coverage Tuesday morning.

The State Department provided no reason for the change, which was announced just 15 minutes before the scheduled 10 A.M. session, but media reports have said that a Saudi national in the U.S. on a student visa is a “person of interest” to investigators probing the bombings at the Boston Marathon on Monday.

The person being investigated was badly injured in the attack, sources said. (link)

Then yesterday, Wednesday, amid the Gun Control Legislation in the Senate, mysteriously -because it was not scheduled- President Obama met with the Saudi Foreign Minister in the White House under the auspices of discussing Syria.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal at the White House on Wednesday and discussed the conflict in Syria, a spokeswoman said.

The meeting was not on Obama’s public schedule.

The spokeswoman, Caitlin Hayden, said the president joined a meeting between the Saudi official and Obama’s national security adviser, Tom Donilon. (link)

Now,…… according to Walid Shoebat Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi has links to al-Qaeda Terrorists and Affiliates:

Shoebat - After the bombings, a Saudi by the name of Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi was hospitalized and became a ‘suspect’, then a ‘person of interest’. His apartment was searched by federal and local authorities. No confirmation has been given so far to his involvement. The Media were quick to claim his innocence, of course.

This brings us to the Boston marathon bombings. Foreign Policy is reporting that he’s ‘no longer a person of interest’, which means he’s “innocent”, right?

Perhaps a quick look at the Arabic sources should raise the eyebrows of every American relative to the extent of the problem at hand. Many from Al-Harbi’s clan are steeped in terrorism and are members of Al-Qaeda. Out of a list of 85 terrorists listed by the Saudi government shows several of Al-Harbi clan to have been active fighters in Al-Qaeda:

#15 Badr Saud Uwaid Al-Awufi Al-Harbi #73 Muhammad Atiq Uwaid Al-Awufi Al-Harbi #26 Khalid Salim Uwaid Al-Lahibi Al-Harbi #29 Raed Abdullah Salem Al-Thahiri Al-Harbi #43 Abdullah Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Harbi (leader) #60 Fayez Ghuneim Humeid Al-Hijri Al-Harbi Source: http://aalhameed1.net/vb/showthread.php?t=1565

Then you have Al-Harbi clan members in Gitmo:

Salim Salman Awadallah Al-Sai’di Al-Harbi Majid Abdullah Hussein Al-Harbi Muhammad Abdullah Saqr Al-Alawi Al-Harbi Ghanem Abdul Rahman Ghanem Al-Harbi Muhammad Atiq Uwaid Al-Awfi Al-Harbi Source: http://www.muslm.net/vb/showthread.php?169019-أسماء-(90)-سعودياً-لا-زالوا-محتجزين-في-جوانتانامو

There are specific Saudi clans that are rife with members of Al-Qaeda, which makes it quite alarming as to why nearly a hundred thousand student visas are issued to these. Americans are clueless as to clan ties when it comes to terrorism. (link)

Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi is on the left

Then THIS REPORT hits the Sean Hannity show:

How can a person of interest, Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi, be cleared and released, within hours, a person that has a laundry list of questionable ties to al-Qaeda, and be ushered out of the country rather than prosecuted? And yet deported on “national security grounds”….

Pam Geller weighs in: Steve Emerson just broke the shocking news that the Saudi national, Abdul al-Harbi, who was first questioned in the Boston bombing, is going to be deported on “national security grounds.” He is from a very powerful Saudi family with many terrorist ties. Abdul al-Harbi is a devout Muslim from Medina.

I said that it takes longer than 15 hours to investigate all of Abdul al-Harbi’s relatives, friends, acquaintances, and business and school friends.

When I heard he was from a very powerful Saudi family, I worried about this kind of thing happening.

Secretary of State Kerry’s meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal was abruptly closed to the press the day Abdul al-Harbi was being questioned. There is no doubt in my mind that this was discussed.

Today’s embarrassing display of rolling incompetence and badly mangled leaks led to numerous cancellations of press conferences, mis-identified suspects, promises of imminent arrest, walking back the arrest announcement, and more. They said they would release a statement and then said they wouldn’t.

Very smelly.

Obama bow

However, it gets even BETTER: Daddy’s a diplomat

JEDDAH: The father of the 20-year-old Saudi student who was injured in the deadly Boston blasts has said his son was indeed questioned about the explosions but only as a routine procedure.

Ali Alharbi, speaking to Saudi media on Wednesday, said his son Abdurrahman was just one of more than hundreds people of various nationalities who were questioned by investigators looking into the blasts that killed three people and injured more than 170 others.

abdul Rahman Ali Al Harbi in Hospital

Abdurrahman was watching the Boston Marathon on April 16 when two bombs placed in trash bins exploded. He sustained injuries in the body.

Another Saudi, identified as Noura Al-Ajaji, was said to have sustained a slight injury and was declared out of danger.

On Wednesday, Alharbi tweeted on Abdurrahman’s Twitter account and said his son was now out of danger and is receiving excellent care at the hospital where he is confined. He also posted pictures for Abdurrahman, including one showing the student with the Saudi consul general in New York, Azzam Al Gain, during the official’s visit at the hospital room. (link)

I saw that blond man that was on Hannity who had broken the news that the Saudi was being deported, on another talk show after that hearing with Napolitano. He says he is now in possession of the paperwork written up to deport the Saudi. I believe he said he passed it on to Congress.

We need to know if this guy was injured from either of the two explosions that we know about or possibly he got injured in the process of setting off his own bomb – which may possibly have misfired and only burnt him. Has anyone identified this guy on any of the available photos or videos showing what happened during the bombing? Seems a bit of a coincidence that he was there at the time and actually got injured.

A lot of people, not all of them U.S. citizens, were there at the time and actually got injured, 3 of them fatally.

What makes his case a co-incidence?

He has known terrorist ties. You don’t think it might be more than a bit coincidental that someone with his background just happens to be right in the middle of the largest domestic terror attack since 9/11? It is certainly worth investigating.

Yes. Interesting how the media trail refuses to turn to the mosque where they were affiliated.

In Iraq, the mosques are armouries with substantial weapons caches and weapons creating facilities as well as the main staging areas for terror. My husband was the victim of several IED attacks. Every one of them was initiated by a call from a muezzin through a loudspeaker in a minaret at the mosque. The last one, he understood enough Iraqi dialect Arabic to hear the call and watched all the local populace run for cover before they detonated the IED that blew up the vehicle he was riding in.

Yeah, don’t follow the trail and investigate the mosque, the imam or forbid, the funding stream for this mosque. That would be rayciss and “judgemental”.

Just my little knowledge of this weird relationship we have with the Saudis tells me something doesn’t smell right but the Obama administration feels they have no choice.
The Saudi royal family is sitting in a very tenuous set of circumstances. Just look at the Arab spring.
If this guy has ties to al queda and has many prominent family members in Saudi Arabia us prosecuting him may be just enough to tip the scales in that country to bring down that government.
And if the Saudi government falls all bets are off in the middle east and for that matter our lives in this country will probably never be the same as oil flies to unheard of prices.
We through our policies have gotten ourselves into this situation and even little things like this guy in Boston could open the floodgates of chaos that seem so easily opened these days.
So now theres no such thing as right and wrong especially when doing the right thing could start world war 3. Sucks
