Not that we don’t have terrible incidents like this here in our country. But the. Place only had 1. ExitNo fire codes no fire inspections
2000 people were allowed at Club you gotta be kidding me. Under proper circumstances that had to be way over some kind of limit for safety
There are times that with net picky fire codes. That are usually enforced I want to be in America like that song in West Side Story says

Just awful. So I assume that Brazil will now be outlawing nightclubs? It seems like the reasonable solution right?
In all seriousness I don’t know of any nightclub that can hold 2000 people at one time…and I’ve been to some fairly big nightclubs. Wow.
Off the top of my head I could tell you Webster Hall in NYC can hold 2500 people.
most latin american night clubs are just disasters waiting to happen because the owners just packe them like sardines. There is never any clear sign for exit, people are always crowding each other out and most of the fire equipments are jokes.
the only liquid in those clubs is alcohol which does not help with the fire. It is possible that the audience though the fire was part of the show and they made it bigger.
