I sent you a reply on GZ 12/30. Last post, way at the bottom, for a solution, maybe.

      • jordan2222 says:

Thanks but none of those really apply, I am hardwired to a secure high speed connection.

        I use this machine:
Imac Intel Core 2 Duo, 20″, 2.16 GHz, 2.5GB of RAM, 500 GB Hard Drive, OS10.4.11

It runs flawlessly. I have no immediate plans to update it because it runs many older applications perfectly.

This only happens on certain threads. I thought maybe someone could check those particular threads on the admin end to fix it but maybe not. I am 99 percent positive the issue is NOT on my end.

This is a recent thing and has never happened at any other site. It’s a real pain in the butt to not get those email notifications especially on long threads. Imagine having to read through several hundred posts every time you go back to the thread.

After checking this box once, you should receive an email every time a new post is made by anyone.

Notify me of follow-up comments via email.

Just wanted to add that this thread today works like it is supposed it.

I sometimes have issues, and yeah pretty sure everyone does from time to time. It’s a WordPress thing, of course, since the guys here do everything they can to keep things running smoothly. But even when you don’t get the email notifications, I think you can still tell when you have some new replies to your own comments (if that’s the main thing you’re looking for). Up at the top, in the WordPress title bar, over on the right side near your name and the magnifying glass icon. There’s a little thing that looks like a cartoon quote bubble (or whatever it’s called). If it’s orange (or something other than gray, I think), it means you have new replies you haven’t read yet. Click on it and you’ll see them.

            • jordan2222 says:

Thanks, Jello but I am interested in reading ALL new posts, not replies to my posts. No one can be that egotistical and reside here.

              • jello333 says:

;) Yeah I figured as much. Just one more thing you and I have in common. On some of these threads, I feel like my day just isn’t “complete” unless I’ve double-checked to make sure I haven’t missed anything.

                • jordan2222 says:

Normally, email notifications work flawlessly, I receive a notice every single time a post is made by anyone, instantly. I can read the entire post in my email without even going to the site.

However, lately, I am having isolated issues but ONLY a certain George Zimmerman threads although I doubt that fact has anything to do with it. I could be any thread. I am researching wordpress to see if there is a way to confirm subscriptions to individual threads at the TH, What is also strange is that I almost always receive notification when all new threads are posted. It’s just the new posts at certain threads that are the issue.

                  Am I making sense?

                  • jello333 says:

“Normally, email notifications work flawlessly, I receive a notice every single time a post is made by anyone, instantly. I can read the entire post in my email without even going to the site.”

Yeah, that’s pretty much how I do it most of the time. But I only start getting emails regarding specific threads AFTER I’ve posted at least one comment in that thread. Up till then, I don’t even get notified when a new thread is posted. So I just check the site once in awhile to see what’s new. But the vast majority of the time, I get emails just fine when ANYONE posts to a thread I’ve posted to myself. And another advantage of doing it that way is when the comments get squeezed up really narrow on the right side of the page. When that happens, the “reply” button disappears. But if you read the comment in your email, you still have the option to “reply”… so that’s pretty cool.

jordan, in terms of our access to the guts of the thing, if it’s working for anybody, it’s working for everybody. We are not software experts, in any case, and do not have the capability of getting into the software used on the site, which is provided by WordPress. I hope it continues to work properly for you….

Daily Daft Posts from Justarse Quest

Today’s contribution illustrates building a narrative of what happened based on assumptions (delusions) that are not facts at all.

They make stuff up to begin with, and get further and further from reality as they build on what is nonsense to begin with.

    Random Topics

    • Chip Bennett says:

So now there’s a phantom wristlock to go along with the phantom accomplices and the phantom cockatoo?

Funny, when reading every single witness interview included in discovery, I didn’t see one single mention of Zimmerman having Martin in a wristlock. Of course, such a wristlock would also render almost physically impossible what has already been proven forensically to be a contact-range gunshot to the chest.

      • raiikun says:

They’re taking something that Serino said way out of context, to equate George managing to stop Trayvon from reaching his gun for a moment with “George having control of Trayvon and thus not needing to shoot.”

The premise is, of course, absurd. There’s nothing about how George described catching Trayvon’s arm that would imply George having more than a split second before Trayvon would be going for it again, but when their case is as fatally weak as it is, they have to grasp at straws for anything they can.

        • rumpole2 says:

Yes. “The Wrist Lock” was all the rage at Trayvon Zones for a while. Disproved…. certainly not a fact.
My point is that things like that get “discussed” …. and usually dismissed, but the seed is planted… to be later quoted as one of the facts of the case. In the quoted example another delusional “fact” is cited too. “GZ had a hold of TM’s sweatshirt”… again discussed but never proven, but now is cited here as a fact and the Scenario built on that.

          • yesyouare says:

Yeah, kind of like hitting a bus driver.

          • libby says:

            Oh yeah,
I recall the excitement of the trayvonistas when they thought they had one (one actual point of contention that wouldnt fall apart upon further examination).
I recall with great interest when they figured out that the whole (from the gunshot) in trayvon’s clothing caused by the gunshot didnt line up perfectly with how his shirt would naturally lay on his body if he was sitting upright and rigid (not on the ground in a ground and pound situation).
At first, for maybe a few seconds, it seemed like incontrovertible evidence (to anyone who thought that your shirt would stay still for the entirely of a fight-anyoe who knows nothing about self defense might believe this nonsense).

          • libby says:

Almost every one of their points that gets shot down as such sheer stupidity comes form Serino’s interviewing George and trying to get him to come up with a major inconsistency (not some minor one that would be very understandable considering how trayvon scrambled his brains and face).
The trayvonites think every minor inconsistency in George’s story if proof of his guilt, but every massive inconsistency of the martin/fulton clan so large you could drive a GALAXY through it is not even visible to them.

    • dexter says:

Have they tried to explain why DD’s version of events is different than the other ear witnesses? Around the time DD’s phone went dead, the first neighnbor 911 call was made, and you can clearly hear the yelling for help, which had begin earlier, and within the time frame of DD’s phone call. The other ear witnesses claimed a noisy confrontation begin near the T and moved south, also within DD’s phone call range and unmentioned by her. Someone’s making things up, IMO.

Local radio show covering the top stories of the year.Of course Trayvon Martin makes the cut at number 3, (ahead of benghazi, the election/debates, fast and furious)
    Steve Cochran on KTRS 550AM
I am livid. Here is a list of what the show did:
Opens with montage of crump, jesse…..zimmermans apology…omara…
Mentions the suspensions, sybrina sent him to live with tracy, sanford is a bad area…
having said that, on the night he shot trayvon, trayvon was unarmed.
zimmerman was the appointed NW, position not supposed to have gun, no rule not to have a gun (leaves out he was on his own time)….summarizes the nem call correctly….mentions neighbor complaints against zimmerman and claims of aggression towards blacks in particular….
the show messes up the end of the NEM call, says “we dont need you to do that” and leaves out the fact he said “ok”…jumps right to the attack……..says witnesses gave conflicting reports…..mentions the bond revocation and the money issue….mentions the new bond and restrictions to seminole…..plays obamas “if I had a son”…..ties the case to gun rights and newtown, syg and castle law…..plays the zimmerman apology…..”where will all this go…legislative action needs to take place”
and then of course he says “and that night all he had was skittles and tea” lfmao see the false narrative always overrides the facts of the case.

Overall all, it was mostly correct however slanted to play to the pro-trayvon narrative…they left out a lot that has come to light in the discovery..in favor of sticking to the basic “adult shoots kid who had skittles”

    • LouDaJew says:

it’s the blind leading the blind. it happens on both sides of the political spectrum IMO, but the Trayvon defenders have to be the dumbest yet.
I can’t wait to see Trayvon’s school records is all I can say. I’m trying to figure out what they will say and repeat once their talking point is out. people are followers in general, but I’ve never seen a bigger instance of taking an allegiance to follow a lie and distortion to the next level and then being arrogant about it.

      • LouDaJew says:

the media can make you and then break you. when Sybrina is seen as an irresponsible parent by the media, the press will jump on it. it will come to that point IMO, especially after all the deceit with this case.

        • eastern2western says:

yeah, the mother of the year award goes to a woman who does not have one singular recording of her beloved son’s voice and the father of the year award goes to a man who was sleeping with a woman while being married to a woman for seven years. He almost gotten away with this mistress untill his son’s death exposed his fiancee to his wife.

        • LetJusticePrevail says:

I strongly disagree. The major media outlets will NEVER say a peep about the fractured family of Trayvon, Tracy, and Sybrina. They already had their chance to do so, and glossed right over it. If they change course now, they have to admit that they blew it in the beginning, when the facts about where Trayvon actually lived, about his academic failure and about his disciplinary problems first surfaced. And the media types NEVER admit they are wrong.

Another reason they will never publicly question the family myth: Their fear induced by misguided “political correctness”. To say anything about the family NOW (after the media worked so HARD to sell the “Tea and Skittles” myth) will make any detractors look like they are criticizing a rape victim for what she wore. THEY WON”T DO IT.

And, I have other bad news for you. I don’t care WHAT result comes out of the immunity hearing or trial. The headlines will either read that George has been convicted, or that a “controversial decision” was reached by the judge or jury and they will CONTINUE to portray GEORGE as a VILLAIN. He will NEVER be publicly exonerated by the media. Any victory will be portrayed as a trick by an unethical defense team, or an inept judge or jury.

          • jordan2222 says:

I strongly agree. It’s too late to turn back now. Hell, they have a damn memorial and websites devoted to them/him. People actually wear clothes sporting their lost hero. How would they ever permanently take that back and revert to the truth? It will not happen. Did Sharpton ever apologize? NEVER. To admit the truth, means they would have to admit they lied.

          • hooson1st says:

I would agree that the major media is not likely to do a story on TM’s fractured family, but it is not out of the realm of possibility that at some point, five years down the road, if GZ’s case is dropped, as it should be, that you will that issue brought up, even by the major media.

While there are a lot of facts out already, and additional circumstantial indications that the family was fully fractured, there are many ascertainable facts still out there that have not been nailed down. Until these additional facts are nailed down, the dimensions of the family breakdown are assessed by including a large amount of conjecture.

If the family was as fractured as it seems from the record revealed so far, it should provoke further discussion as to what a broken family experiences and what children suffer, when within a more-challenging socio-economic environment, a minority teen is cast adrift only to meet an untimely end in a tragic confrontation.

            • kathyca says:

              “within a more-challenging socio-economic environment”

What was challenging about his socio-economic environment? Each parent made well more than $50k/year and, together, low six-figures. Nothing challenging about that. And that’s not including Sybrina’s bennies at the gov’t job which were, undoubtedly, significant.

              • Sharon says:

                Yeah. Give me a break.

              • jello333 says:

Yep, yep…. compared to my wife and I, those people are downright RICH. If we brought in even $50K a year, I’d feel like we had hit the lottery. But those idiots were making well over $100K between them, and STILL couldn’t manage to raise their kid right. And of course now they’re happily running around the country begging for money from little old men and ladies living on Social Security. Really sicko family, the Fulton/Martins.

                • hooson1st says:

First of all, a Happy New Years to all denizens of the CTH.

Now as for TM’s socio-economic environment, it should be said first that nothing excuses bad behavior. We all know what the crime statistics say. There is all kind of poverty in America. Among those kinds of poverties is also the poverty of values. That poverty contributed to TM’s behavior and very likely set the stage for that fatal confrontation

i was responding to the comment made by LetJusticePrevail as to the media ignoring the TM family situation.

I have worked in an impacted urban area. The majority of people in those areas are fine decent people and want to live a quiet decent life, and they also are the victims of the elevated criminal activity that permeates those neighborhoods.

Those, who can, try to move out of those neighborhoods. They do it to raise their children in a safer environment, with better schools. When the family breaks apart due to divorce, it takes a toll on the children, whether they reside in a high crime or low crime area.

Martin/Fulton may be the worst parents as projected by some at CTH, or they may be something less than that. I don’t know.

I know that GZ is an individual who was caught up in an unfortunate confrontation in which he felt threatened in enough to have to defend himself with his sidearm and now is facing consequences from that tragedy. He is fortunate that individuals, such as those here at CTH, have gone digging into the details and the facts to combat a glaring lack of curiosity by the press.

I sympathize with any parents who have lost a son or a daughter, including Martin/Fulton. That sympathy does not necessitate that I agree with their parenting.

                  • jello333 says:

Yeah sorry, I should have made it clearer. I kinda figured that was your point… I mean, no, I didn’t really think you were saying Trayvon was “economically” disadvantaged. Because by no stretch could that be true. And you’re right about people who ARE in that situation… most of them are decent, and want nothing more than to live a “normal” life. But being poor makes it much harder. I don’t think anyone would argue that. Which is just one reason I have some serious issues with the Fultons/Martins…. I mean the fact that they were NOT poor, and so IMO have fewer legit excuses* that others might.

(* and yes I know that there really ARE no good “excuses” for acting certain ways, but you get my drift…)

                  • kathyca says:

So you meant “socio” and not “socio-economic” when you said “socio-economic?” Forgive me, I really don’t mean this is a snotty way, but I think you just didn’t know/forgot that Trayfam was not economically “disadvantaged.” It is hard to believe that people with the means they had would chose to live that lifestyle in that environment when they had a son who was so very clearly headed down the wrong path.

And yes, Happy New Year to all the Treepers, including hooson1st ;)

          • libby says:

George may get off on a technicality (technically, he is innocent), but the news media will never stop with their lies about this case

            • libby says:

I have never been very optimistic about witch hunts (even if they are directed at white men or those thought to be white).

    • John Galt says:

      “Zimmerman will be acquitted”

I consider an acquittal after a jury trial to constitute a victory for Scheme Team. Dismissal with immunity constitutes victory for the defense. Scheme Team, BDLR and Corey charged with witness tampering, obstruction of justice and/or disbarred would constitute true justice.

      • howie says:

The 18th is trying to get this to a trial by hook or crook. Mainly crook. The only hope is the 5th DCA or FSC.

      • LetJusticePrevail says:

I totally agree. Immunity is the true victory for the defense, and a trial (no matter the outcome) is victory for the Schemers. Charges for tampering, obstruction and malicious prosecution would be a victory for TRUTH, and anything less is another nail in the coffin of real justice.

      • jello333 says:

Right. This ain’t going to trial. No way. Even if Nelson is too incompetent or scared to do the right thing, the appeals court will straighten things out.

    • jordan2222 says:

I find it astounding that the media has now begun to say that race had nothing to do with it one day, and the very next, race creeps back into it. Sometimes, it is subtle and other times it is not.

They seriously have an issue with backtracking. It appears to be impossible to disown the original narrative, strong evidence of how repeating lies over and over again make them true.

Virtually without exception, the Trayvonites mention race as being the root cause in all of their comments, That has NEVER changed.

When NBC “apologized” for those tape splices, what were they really apologizing for? Did they ever apologize for making George appear to be a racist? Did they apologize to George, a real human being that they hurt? Nada. The apology was for a simple little technical issue only.

dd will be the great pandora of this whole case and I just want to list some of her mysteries.
    1) she did not called the cops after hearing her friend since child hood was jumped by a creepy white dude.
    2) she did not left one singular voice mail in trayvon’s phone records (unless angela corey is hiding them between her legs, I would love to hear them).
    3) Trayvon managed to inform her the racial identify of george zimmerman, but John (witness 6) could not when he was inches away from the fight.
    4) she was able to hearing george zimmerman’s breathing noises through trayvon’s ear phone.
    5) she can distinguish the differences between the noises of an earphone dropped to the cement ground or grass.
also, I want to say happy new year to trent sawyer because he is a video sherlock holmes and I hope he will do more video analysis for us to laugh at. I would even personally nominate his video analysis to america’s funniest home video or nominate him as mr cabbage

Like other media in the area, the site’s coverage of the case has dovetailed with the release of police information. The site’s first piece on the shooting appeared on February 29th, three days after Martin was killed. Longmore explains the delay: “Sanford Police Department first alerted on the shooting on February 26th. There were no names of the victim or shooter. On February 27th, Sanford PD sent the names and ages and described Martin as a black male and Zimmerman as a white male. We wrote back on Feb 27, asking the police, ‘Has George Zimmerman been charged yet? And if so, has he been booked?’” By February 29th, the police responded to Longmore’s requests with this: “He has not been charged with a crime as the investigation continues”; it was then that West Orlando News Online began its coverage. A week went by before the site posted its next update, on March 8th.

I disagree because these idiots are not in some kind of cya mode and they are still holding on to their desperate beliefs. first they seem to still believe zimmerman started the fight which the prosecution has absolutely no evidence to back it up. second, they still believe the killing was done completely based on race which is wrong because it was self defense. third, they still believe zimmerman was wrong for using a gun which is still wrong because how can they experct zimmerman act responsibly when his head was being pound to the ground. If robert zimmerman or the beasley firm is still collecting data, I hope they will get a copy of all of the probrams which the young turks made comments about george zimmerman because they will provide sufficient evidence to bankrupt the tyt network.

Crazy thing is the trees that broke! We got around 10 inches. We made out fine. Hope ya had a wonderful Christmas!!! Swinging on my branch, trying to catch up :)

Hey! Nice to see you again. But you got lucky, I don’t think anyone sent the posse out after you. Me… I was MIA here for a week or so right around Christmas, and when I came back everyone screamed at me. “Where you been? We called all the hospitals and jails, and even Gitmo!” But after I told them JQ had kidnapped me and threatened to throw me in a cage with Trent, they backed off. ;)

Happy New Year to you. jello.

You are one of the most unusually dedicated people here. Your never flinching positive attitude and confidence alone might be all it takes to free George.

I am sure that the Zimmerman’s are proud to have you on their team.

Now what are we going to do about that DMan fellow? How about we pull him by his toe until he hollers uncle?

        • jello333 says:

And you too. I have no doubt George and his family feel just a little bit better that good people like you and others here are behind them. The family (and their friends too) are going through a really rough period of their lives, and so it’s really important that they know there are a lot more people like us sticking up for them than what the media would like to pretend. Like the title of Mark’s book… “The most hated man in America”. Well yeah, maybe among SOME people, he is. But not the people who matter. Among the decent, sane people of this country, George is anything but “hated”. I never intended to get emotionally involved with this case. But it’s a testament to what a good guy George is that I’ve done this. And while it takes up a lot of my time, and is sometimes an emotional drain…. well, I don’t regret a thing.

Happy New Year jordan and jello you both are really remarkable people and anyone would be proud to call you a friend. :)

ROFLMBO JELLO~~~ Glad to see that you survived with your sense of humor! Whew, that would be a cage match that the best meds in the world couldnt help you with IMHO ;)

I’m waiting on a) full Trademark toxicology report, b) school records, and c) the infamous DD to show her face under oath. Until then, not much happening new it seems.

I really hope they still have the fluid samples necessary to do an in depth tox screen and search. Not just a simple drug screen. A full spectrum test for everything present. Mass spectrometers don’t lie, they can find and confirm with 99.999999% certainty anything you are looking for. Not just a simple THC match. If this testing hasn’t been done already by an independent lab, then someone defending GZ is REALLY incompetent. Do NOT trust a state lab.
