I’m willing to bet it’s not a typo. While trying to find more info on it I came across this old article on Huffington post…

“At press time, Justice For Trayvon Martin had raised $6,065, but Hall — whose company has donated its marketing efforts to developing the campaign — said that the family will likely burn through that much money in a month. The civil lawsuit could drag on for more than a year. The family will also need more money to establish — and grow — a nonprofit to raise awareness for hate crimes and to work to change the Stand Your Ground law.”

              • I agree that the family of Trayvon Martin should raise awareness for hate crimes.. They should spread the message to other absentee mothers and fathers to raise their children to become productive students and thus citizens, and not hateful racists who express themselves through violence.. such as Trayvon Martin. If Trayvon had been raised right perhaps he may not have engaged in drug use, perhaps he may have fared better in his studies and not accrued 50 unexcused absences from school (within a 4 month time period) and may not have commited a violent racist attack which caused his own demise.

I completely agree. Parents have not been teaching their children personal accountability. There’s always someone else to blame for the childs bad behavior; i.e. “that teacher doesn’t like my son.” One parent once said to me after her son had a string of problems with his school, “he is just so smart that he is bored in that classroom.” Excused it all away with a fling of her arm; it was the schools fault for not keeping him engaged enough. Also, all of the people filing frivolous lawsuits and being rewarded monetarily, when in fact it was their own lack of personal responsibility that was the cause. My state is just one of 4 left in the nation that has a contributory negligence law. Meaning, if the driver of car A was hit by car B, but car A contributed just 1% to the wreck (no DL, non-working tail lights, under the influence, etc.) then the driver of Car B is responsible for 0 in damages. The driver of car A gets nada. That’s as it should be. Though the bottom feeding ,ambulance chasing lawyers are trying hard to get this law off the books…for obvious reasons.

“DISCLAIMER: Please note Parks and Crump, LLC, Attorneys at Law, is a law firm that is providing legal counsel for the parents’ civil action and is no way linked to the administration of funds or the management of the Justice for Trayvon Martin Foundation.”

This is an ironic statement considering Michael Hall posts this in the comments……

“Michael Hall · Subscribe · Top Commenter · Florida State University
              To whom it may concern,
Thank you very much for your efforts and donations. We are overwhelmed at this point with all the matters of this case and we have not even had the time to respond to the concerns of this being a scam. These are efforts that are being handled by MediumFour the marketing agency of Parks & Crump. These monies are for the family to cover legal funds and multiple expenses to bring awareness to their case.
Although we are able to donate our services, some things are not given for free and require monies. We have direct contact with Parks & Crump, Global Grind and all other organizations that are helping with this effort. You can again, like Mr. Miller mentioned go to http://parkscrump.com/ or call 850.222.3333. An official letter and statement will be released later from the family but they are extremely overwhelmed with travels, interviews and legal matters. Thank you all for your donations and if you have any further questions, I will try my best to answer them. Also for verification, you will notice all donors of $50 and more will be listed on the site http://justicetm.parkscrump.com/ as stated this is the official site for Justice for Trayvon Martin.”

So the disclaimer says Parks and Crump are in no way linked to the money yet, Michael Hall says that all of the Fulton/Martins “Efforts” that require these donations are handled by MediumFour which is Parks and Crumps Marketing Agency.

Spending the cash and the jet-setting to gin up “support” was seen as a business investment, but one that is not going to pay off. Their easy targets aren’t willing to just roll over and pay up to make them go away.

So now the Scheme Team expect to be paid for their hustle.

Also interesting that the Scheme Team has been widely unsuccessful in raising any funds through broad-based support outside of the perpetually racially aggrieved.

Maybe they do not “lie” exactly, but if they can “invent” stories to their own pecuniary benefit – they will. But I like your word, “Hubris”, and I would add the word “Chutzpah”. Why? Because the violent racist was BLACK Trayvon. He was angry, and perhaps saw George as a “white” that he hated. So he went back an violently attacked George. The racist felon was Trayvon Martin, not George. When will the Media ever get that RIGHT?? Con-artist Crump has charged George with the crime that Trayvon committed on George.

The violence endemic in their community has nothing to do with “bias” but choice. TM was a product of his parent’s choices: abandoned by his parents, encouraged to revel in a culture of violence and easy money, and rejection of authority and academics.

They can put as much spin as they want on it, but the entire TM case is a study in the dysfunction of the black family.

I don’t think she is returning to work, I remember hearing that on the news. I did find one article that refers to a new position. Here is part of that article and I will post the link also.
The first order of business: a movement to repeal the Stand Your Ground laws that exist around the nation. Fulton released a video on Friday, timed for Mother’s Day, on secondchancecampaign.org urging Americans to appeal to their respective governors to eliminate laws that offer increased immunity in self-defense cases.

Hall said the details have not yet been finalized, but Fulton would presumably not begin getting a salary or per diem by the foundation until after her paid county leave runs out. He said he doesn’t know if she plans to leave her county job.

Last month the Miami-Dade County Commission passed a resolution sponsored by Bruno Barreiro, Barbara Jordan and Jose “Pepe” Diaz to allow county employees to donate vacation time to Fulton or Trayvon’s aunt, Yolanda Knight Evans, a water and sewer customer-service representative. The $50,000 cap the commission set on the value of the time donated was reached in two weeks, county spokeswoman Suzy Trutie said.

A similar measure was passed last year to help the families of two slain police officers.

Records show 192 county employees gave Fulton some of their hours, and 70 people donated to Knight Evans.

The donations for Fulton added up to 1,362 hours – a total of 34 paid weeks off. Trayvon’s aunt collected nearly nine weeks.

County records show Fulton, who earns $68,768 a year, used funeral leave, four weeks of accumulated sick leave and 60 hours of vacation after her son was killed by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. She took two days of furlough in compliance with her county contract.

Last week’s pay period was the first that tapped into the bank of donated time.

Fulton is expected to appear before the commission on Tuesday to thank the county for its support.

Records show the donors included deputy mayor Jack Osterholt, who gave her eight hours, and Stan Hills, the former head of the fire union.

By far the most generous contributor was county clerk’s office employee Eric Cherelus, who gave Trayvon’s mother and aunt each an entire week of his vacation time.

Tracy Martin is a truck driver, and it’s unclear whether he has been on paid or unpaid leave. He and Fulton were in London this week speaking at the University of London and were unavailable for comment.

The Freddy Leathermann blog has concocted yet another innovative theory to explain why GZ was not justified in shooting TM.

Freddy argues that as long as GZ kept his neck and back stiff, it wouldn’t have been possible for TM to pound his head against the concrete sidewalk by lifting his body and slamming it down. When you actually crunch the numbers, you find that this mode of attack resulted in TM delivering far less impact energy to the back of GZ’s skull than simply punching him in the face. IMHO, this is the only reason why GZ survived long enough to shoot TM. I’ll also concede that keeping your neck and torso as inflexible as possible would further reduce the severity of injury resulting from the attack. However; GZ was not a trained fighter, he has a rather severe back injury, and TM had already broken his nose. The likelihood of GZ being able to execute this passive defense technique is minimal.

Since Freddy has banned me from his blog, I will once again issue the invitation to test Freddy’s theory using Freddy’s own skull as a test article. The last time I suggested this on his blog, he banned me for threatening his life. Since Freddy feels threatened by the mere suggestion ofmy doing unto him as TM did unto GZ, perhaps he should concede that GZ was justified in shooting TM?

Apparently one must ignore reality in order to get a conviction, since this didn’t go over very big.

What I found the most stupid about that new theory, is what it assumed was happening. While it’s probably true that if a person tried to keep his neck stiff, it would be harder to lift that person’s head off the ground, why is it assumed that’s what happened? In my opinion, it wasn’t Trayvon lifting George’s head up. It was George himself… as he kept trying to sit up and escape! And each time he did that, Trayvon shoved his head back DOWN. No “lifting” by Trayvon required. So tell me Leather Freddy: Just how much effort would it take for Trayvon to push George’s head DOWN into the ground? Hmm?

The grappling martial arts (judo, jujitsu, aikido, etc) teach how to fall with minimal or no injury (this applies readily to many situations-being thrown on one’s back, being slammed against a wall, or having your head slammed against the ground). in order to minimize injury when your head is being slammed from above or against a wall is to lean the head forward, tucking into your chest. basketball players who fall down for instance very often do this as they fall (they tuck their head far forward almost touching their chin to their chest- others merely let their head fall back and hit the floor with a characteristic bounce off the floor-the ones who exhibit the bounce of the head rarely finish the game-they get MILD concussion which the only thing you can do is avoid or wait afterward….)…MMA guys rarely allow their head to be leaning back where they can be bashed against the ground (it is among the most effective techniques there is-it is very life threatening).
The rigidity aspect is of import, but so is the distance you have to cover the force applied (falling down is not the same as being thrown down). These are not just skills to be used in self-defense, btw, they are life skills. We all get old and we all get fragile. Falling down and hitting one’s head and having your torso and body thrust against the ground are similar, but different in terms of degree (one is dangerous and the other is VERY dangerous).
IF George was doing some of the movement I describe, in part, but not in full, he would likely get a reduced force applied to his head, but there would still be great risk and likely at minimum minor concussion.
Just cuz George surived the attack doesnt mean the attack wasnt severe and dangerous to his life considering his medical condition.
It is hard for the neck to overcome the full force of both hands applied to the head-the force could have been applied to the torso, but that seems less likely since Trayvon already had his hands over George’s mouth (biting MIGHT have been another useful defense, but he did well to save his life with minimal trauma (Trayvon had plenty of chance to disengage and chose not to, he was in the SUPERIOR position-some really good fighters in MMA can win from the bottom, but it is not an enviable place to be and they don’t teach fighters to go for the bottom, they teach em to avoid the bottom and try to be on top where it is far eaiser to deliver high impact blows and where it is easiest to dominate your opponent (besides being known as the superior position, it is also known as the DOMINANT position)
Had George stuck around the hospital all night and spent a small fortune to get the doctors attention for five minutes, they would have said, “Yup, minor concussion, be careful for a few days, here is your bill, you could have died you know.”

“Had a source inform me yesterday that Cheorge calls MOM’s office every hour, and Mom has gotten sick of it. Security is sick of Cheorge too, who thinks he should be catered to like a king. Security generally runs out and buys things for Cheorge with their own money and subsequently gets reimbursed by MOM. Well, Cheorge ran out of toilet paper, and security did not run out to the store with their own money, so Cheorge was without toilet paper for 2 days until MOM decided to fork over money to security to go to the store.”

I’m surprised those Koch brothers paying for GZ’s defense didn’t give him a lifetime supply of free toilet paper!

I received an email urging me to boycott the following products made by some of the billionaire Koch brothers numerous manufacturers: Angel soft toilet paper

      Brawny paper towel

      Dixie plates,bowls napkins cups

      Marci gras napkins and towels

      Quilted northern toilet paper

      Soft and gentile toilet paper

      Sparkle napkins

      Vanity fair napkins

      Zero napkins

The reason to stop purchasing the above products was also given: see below attachment.

“In the wake of the killing of Trayvon Martin … The company Koch which manufactures paper products is paying for Zimmerman’s legal fees because they feel he had legal right to bare arms and shoot Trayvon we are asking that people everywhere ban together with us and pass this information on and not purchase any of the following items because your money will be paying for Zimmermans lawyer fees.”

These people hear 4 accomplices (and a cockatoo) in the background of the NEN call.
They are clearly, and seriously, suffering from mental problems. Imagining voices is delusional…. it’s NOT NORMAL.
Believing that people are talking to you and giving you special information goes beyond their already apparent psychological problems with delusion etc (perhaps indicating they need to ask their nurse to change the dosage on their meds)…. This is now at the level of a serious psychiatric problem.. perhaps schizophrenia

Hilarious. You notice how the hostess and other guest immediately stated GZ was the “aggressor” …. “the fact is, and we know that Zimmerman started this ”
“…there is actually audio of this”….

Also, note the not-too-subtle juxtaposition of the thoroughly discredited photos of a 12 year old St. Skittles and the old mugshot of GZ that puts him in the worst possible light.

I find it interesting they keep trying to bang that drum, when it has been thoroughly deconstructed. Even the State has admitted they have no “proof” or actual knowledge of “who” started it – it is all supposition, and that the physical evidence supports GZ’s version of events.

The Scheme Team continues to try and push the narrative that Traydemark is being “re-victimized” by looking at his prior history. The family is upset that the social media record documenting the social sewer that No_Limit_Nigga’s loose pussy loving self gleefully swam in is now part of the public domain, whether or not it makes it into the formal court record. Makes it that much harder to cash in on Traydemark. To paraphrase Trashcan Momma in Deptford, UK, she was happy to discover that Traydemark’s death could be turned into something “profitable”. That piece of memorable videography has been conveniently memory-holed.

They all had such high hopes. And then GZ went and insisted on actually defending himself and asserting that he did nothing wrong by exerting his right to defend himself in order to save his own life. Bastard.

You betcha. It’s part of the lexicon now – whenever someone pens a comment to an online article or blog post about a “darling little Trayvon” the idea is immediately communicated clearly and concisely.

Trayvon = drug addled, socially degenerate violently aggressive black thug.

No wonder then that all of the officers will testify on behalf of the defendant, George Zimmerman, who acted in self-defense.

Accordingly, Patrolman Serino appears to be an unfriendly witness to the prosecution.

b)witnesses get their own lawyers (trust me, deedee has her own lawyer/s-likely plural).
              c) cop/s (we will see if this becoems plural soon) cant trsut their own department OR union lawyers, so he hires his own.
              d) The persecutors act like incompentent morons repeatedly releasing confidential info.
              e) The media blindly following a narrative (when they arent making their own false one) and refusing to show the whole picture.
              f) the incompetence of judge lester.
              g) the florida bar asleep at the wheel
              h) the gov and his complicitness in this is dispicable, too, but that is hardly visible to the masses, so he will get away with it i guess .
              i) the constant new developments of false narrative by the media (social media was used EXTENSIVELYY for months by the proxies to the persecution-team scheme-but if GZ legfal uses a FRACTION of the social media to get their story not out in the lame streeam media, but merely for those few who want unfiltered access to the truth-i wouldnt mind the media’s fuiltger if they didnt alter the images completely such that this case is totally unrecognizable (sorry, trayvon wasnt 12, he wasnt 3 feet tall and GZ tutored AA youth and spoke up for sherman ware when no one else would and protected his neighbors and his neighbors when few would).
I used to live in a commuinity much like sanford (very diverse ethnically). besides attackign GZ, they are attackign sanford itself (a successful integration of diverse ething groups coming together for mutual comfort-this aint 1964 selma and to pretend it is is an insult to all the work done by civil rights leaders-the real ones, not the posers and the hustlers.

After I bought my home, people would ask where I live and I would say and they would say, “Oh” with this sigh that said “I am so sorry”, but i lived across the street from a 24 room mansion, everyone on my street went to work everyday, there was a park down the street from my house (and after the state police arr4ested the police captain, the crime in the town slowly began to recede a bit-yup, that gave me some insight into how sanford operates)

CRIME TIME featuring former FBI agents, Tim and Jim Clemente, and Allison Hope Weiner as the moderator. The show will contain analysis and debate focused on criminal cases and law enforcement issues in the news. Tim Clemente is a former policeman and retired FBI Agent with experience around the world fighting violent crime and terrorism. Jim Clemente is a
former New York City prosecutor and retired FBI Agent who spent more than a decade as an elite FBI profiler specializing in crimes against children. And the two brothers rarely agree on anything–especially politics. Check out one of our first episode in which the brothers give their thoughts on the resignation of General Petreaus and argue about whether the defense in the Trayvon Martin case should be allowed to examine Martin’s personal information to prove Martin has a predisposition towards violence.”

I think the State has the option to immunize. If Serino testimony hurts the prosecution, they might not offer immunity, preferring Serino to keep quiet. Dunno if the defense can force the State to offer immunity.

“Is that the reason Serino got a lawyer?”

Not only a lawyer, but a lawyer independent of the State. Immunity issues are certainly complex enough to warrant getting a good lawyer.
