(Israel Today) — The government of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper once again demonstrated its unwavering support of Israel on Thursday when it unequivocally backed the Jewish state’s military response to incessant terrorist rocket fire.
“We fundamentally believe that Israel has the right to defend itself and its citizens from terrorist threats,” stated Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird. “Far too often, the Jewish people find themselves on the front lines in the struggle against terrorism, the great struggle of our generation.”
Referencing the hundreds of terrorist rockets that sparked Israel’s “Operation Pillar of Cloud” – a provocation much of the world has suddenly forgotten about – Baird said that Canada “condemns the terrorist group Hamas and stands with Israel as it deals with regional threats to peace and security.” (more)

The Liberals–like your Democrats–who were in power for close to thirty years, were indifferent to Israel, at best. It feels good to have a principled, adult government for a change. (But for how long? Canadians, who are, via polls, really big supporters of Obama, are as uninformed and fickle as other Western citizens. No surprise: our MSM treats Stephen Harper with all the contempt that yours treats Bush.)

Since your country polls so -pro Obama perhaps, for the holiday season, we could wrap him up and ship him to you? We could wipe out part of the US national debt by having a country-wide 50-50 raffle. For $5 you could buy a ticket and guess how long it would take before Canada got sick of him and tossed him back over the border.
I am so proud when can I get it right she really gets it right. Also we sent 40,000 volunteers to Vietnam And we were in World War Two in 1939 not 1941. Our gov’t sure ain’t perfect, but dang! I’m proud of ‘em today and proud of the leadership that Harper is demonstrating to the world with this stance.
Y’all should be proud of Harper….he is doing and saying what is right and just. We all must pray for the Israelis….the Americans certainly can’t hope our President will respond the way that your Prime Minister did. We know better.
