ASS ACT – Husband Of Gabby Giffords Attacks Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer While Speaking To The Court During Sentencing Hearing For Shooter…

Gone is any semblence of sympathy for this cue-ball headed baffoon and drain bramaged wife….  Turn sympathy into fuel for your progressive political attacks at individual freedom and you lose me right quick – in a bad way.   Had Jared Lee Loughner pounded skulls with a Louisville Slugger – should we ban T-Ball?

undefinedARIZONA - The sentencing hearing for the man who shot former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords turned political on Thursday when her husband, Mark Kelly, attacked Ariz. Gov. Jan Brewer in a statement to the court for showing “feckless” leadership on gun control – a charge Brewer quickly said she had no interest in responding to on such a “solemn occasion.”

Kelly launched the broadside at Brewer at the sentencing of Jared Loughner, who pleaded guilty to 11 charges linked to the January 2011 shooting at a Safeway in Tucson that left six people dead and Giffords with grave injuries that eventually forced her to resign from Congress. About halfway through his testimony, Kelly criticized Brewer and the rest of the country’s political class for failing to control gun violence.

“In this state we have elected officials so feckless in their leadership that they would say, as in the case of Governor Jan Brewer, ‘I don’t think it has anything to do with the size of the magazine or the caliber of the gun,’” Kelly said, according to a prepared copy of his remarks e-mailed to reporters. “She went on and said, ‘Even if the shooter’s weapon had held fewer bullets, he’d have another gun, maybe. He could have three guns in his pocket’ – she said this just one week after a high capacity magazine allowed you to kill six and wound 19 others, before being wrestled to the ground while attempting to reload. Or a state legislature that thought it appropriate to busy itself naming an official Arizona state gun just weeks after this tragedy occurred, instead of doing the work it was elected to do.”

He added, “We have a political class that is afraid to do something as simple as have a meaningful debate about our gun laws and how they are being enforced. We have representatives who look at gun violence, not as a problem to solve, but as the white elephant in the room to ignore. As a nation we have repeatedly passed up the opportunity to address this issue. After Columbine; after Virginia Tech; after Tucson and after Aurora we have done nothing.”

Hey Mark Kelly, If I put a tube sock into a pint of gasoline, lit it, and chucked it at the crowd, would you be advocating for restrictions on gas powered automobiles, or socks?     Guns have just about as much responsibility for killing people as forks do for your opportunistic fat ass.

Brewer, a Republican, who was not at the hearing, declined to respond to Kelly’s charges.  (article)

Before the election I saw an article in the newspaper written by Mark Kelly, basically praising Obama’s commercial space policy initiatives. Of course it was Obama that cancelled the Constellation Program, which in turn has devastated the spirit and moral of NASA. This guy is a first class jerk, and yes I’m tired of the media making Gabby a national hero for getting shot.

All “Gun Laws” do – is to disarm the law-abiding. They NEVER prevent a criminal from obtaining a gun. In fact, it makes it easier for them to commit their crimes. Just check the District of Columbia. Talk to “Thugs”. They will tell you that any “gun law”‘ will never stop them. But show them a neighborhood with dogs, and gun owners – and they will go do something else.

  3. kinthenorthwest says:

Take away the 2nd admendment and the only people that will have guns will be the cirmminals.
Would gun laws have stopped this act NO!!
People who want to create havoc, murder and distruction will find the means.

  4. Wraith says:

We had the “discussion on gun control.” Legally and logically, the Progs lost. All they’re doing now is whining about the outcome.

    • elvischupacabra says:

Watch for future Executive Orders. Vallery Jarrett said it herself, this time around, they don’t need Congress.

  5. scene 1 says:

And being the typical 21st century conservative, you respond with things like “Cue ball headed, Drain bramaged, & opportunistic fat ass.” You lend absolutely NOTHING to the discussion on gun safety.

    • Lulu says:

Just sign me a proud “typical 21st century conservative”. We are used to being slammed by those who get lost trying to find their way to the Daily KOS. Right now we are hurting and may say things you don’t approve of, but you are pretty ad hominem yourself this morning.

    • Because “on gun safety” there is nothing to discuss. Guns are manufactured quite safely, just like automobiles. I doubt you will find mass herds of wild guns rampaging through the streets of Chicago all on their own….

The insufferable “cue-ball headed” Mark Kelly was not talking about “gun safety” – read his pontifications, he was criticizing “GUN CONTROL” efforts.

Anyone who did not see this coming was blinded by the concern for Gabby.
Who was shot by a crazy member of her own political party fan.

  7. elvischupacabra says:

I’m sure that with his astronaut job gone for good that he needs some income. So, with the ink still fresh on George Soro’s check tucked into his wallet, he now does his master’s bidding.

Me cynical? After the last four year, I’m just a more incredible pragmatist and a whole lot more pissed off than before.

Fu*k all these slimy bastards. On, and remember: OIIOHH = Obama Is In Over His Head

  8. Lulu says:

I was sick of publicity hound Mark Kelly long before this. This unattractive little creep has made his name on her having been shot. Cozied up to Obie and Mooch and sashayed around the White House. A real slice of heaven for him.

He dumped his wife for Gabby and ended up with a lifelong caretaker position. He is now overcompensating for his loss by trying to turn himself into a world class hero. Many take care of damaged spouses. They do it quietly without all the flashbulbs popping.

We can not live in a “perfect” world with perfect security. But more and more people DEMAND IT. It is a terrible illusion. The 2nd Amendment – was establish because the British had ordered the confiscation of firearms. In fact the marched to Concord to get those weapons. Yes we live in a world with “some risk”. Here are some thoughts on that subject:

“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Franklin’s Contributions to the Conference on February 17 (III) Fri, Feb 17, 1775
    ++++
In other places, he says, “…deserve neither liberty nor FREEDOM”.

  10. czarowniczy says:

Situational ethics. I hear ATF, DEA, DoJ and the White House whining about how the loose gun laws in the US allow weapons to flow into Mexico and other areas in Central and South America but I never hear them spouting fire about the two attempts (that we caught) of the Chinese trying to smuggle hundreds of fully automatic weapons into the US for sale to street gangs. One attempt featured M-16s and M-2 carbines that were traced back to weapons we’d transferred to the South Vietnamese during the war – the Chinese had traded/bought them from the Vietnamese and tried to bring them back home. Then we have the Russians who, at the last time I got the information, were flying planes full of weapons into South America and trading for – um – South American exports. Then we have Chavez with his huge stock of weapons and an active AK production plant – how many of those AKs have/will find their way into Mexican (and US street gang) hands? Nope, it’s those damned US redneck NRA hunters, buying cases of assault rifles and selling them to blood thirsty criminals. What the heel, we have Fruit of Islam patrolling the Chicago streets, what’s to worry about, I’m sure the POtuS will work out a deal to have Los Zetas patrol the border in Texas and New Mexico.

  11. myopiafree says:

Anyone with common sense – knows that the Drug Cartels – have MOUNTAINS OF MONEY. If they can get weapons from the ATF who “leaked” 2,000 M-16s to Mexico – they will. But if they could not get them from the U.S. – they can get AK-47′s from all over the world – no problem. The ATF supplying weapons to the Cartels – was to PROVE that “weak” US gun laws “CAUSED” all the violence in Mexico. WRONG. Mexico has a law that PROHIBITS GUN OWNERSHIP BY PRIVATE CITIZENS. Does that “work”??
