Let me be crystal clear on what I am about to say.  Four days ago former president Jimmy Carter made a statement about the situation in Egypt.  
Mr. Peanut said unequivocally that he “trusts the Islamists in Egypt” stay committed to the 1978 Arab – Israel peace accord.
Just so there can be no claims of my misinterpretation, or my opinion of the completely detached idiot, I am posting a video with his specific words.

In the face of warnings by the Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood to tear up the Arab nation’s peace treaty with Israel if U.S. aid is cut, former President Jimmy Carter, the chief negotiator of the 1978 deal, says he trusts the Islamists to do the right thing no matter what.

The reason: because they told him so.

Exactly four days later the lower house of Egyptian Parliament met and has unanimously approved a text declaring that Israel is the number one enemy of Egypt and calling for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador and a halt to gas exports to Israel.

On Monday, Egyptian MPs voted by a show of hands on the text of a report, which was compiled by the Arab Affairs Committee of the People’s Assembly (lower house of parliament).

“Revolutionary Egypt will never be a friend, partner or ally of the Zionist entity, which we consider to be the number one enemy of Egypt and the Arab nation,” the report declared, adding, “It will deal with that entity as an enemy, and the Egyptian government is hereby called upon to review all its relations and accords with that enemy.”

In 1979, Egypt became the first Arab country to sign a peace treaty with Israel, but was compelled to agree to supply gas to Israel as one of the main economic conditions of the US-sponsored peace deal.  (read more)

There has long been a widely held belief that President Jimmy Carter was the single worst president in this modern era.   An absolute idiot regarding how economics work, how capitalism is supported, how America is viewed in the world, and how to effectively engage in foreign policy.   Everything.  

I support this belief.

Let this day go down in the history of this little blog as the day we are able to state with absolute certainty that Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama are cut from the EXACT same cloth of insufferable entrenched liberal idiocy that is 100% disconnected from reality.

And the disconnection is intentional.   You cannot be this stupid accidentally.
