Our CIC is visiting Masterlock in Milwaukee tomorrow. The MSM is going to make this look wonderful. What they probably won’t tell you is that Masterlock is the last industy standing in what was once a very busy area. There are acres and acres and acres of empty industrial buidlings around Masterlock. There is one closed industry there that once employed 10,000 people. I give Masterlock much credit for hanging in there. Just thought you might like to know.

Mom packs lunch for her 4 y.o. preschooler. Lunch contained turkey and cheese sandwich, a banana, potato chips, and apple juice. “Agent” (?) says that it isn’t nutritious enough, so they take her lunch away and give her a lunch from the cafeteria. What does the little girl eat? 3 chicken nuggets (the rest goes to waste because she’s a picky eater, which is why her mom packed her lunch in the first place). Now which is more nutritious?

I don’t pack my daughter’s lunch since the school menu is pretty good. I do pack her a snack. On the first day of school, we were given a list of acceptable snack foods. I find it hilarious. I know for a fact that today they’re having a Valentine’s Day party with lots of candy, cupcakes and “strawberry” milk (my daughter calls it pink milk)! I wonder what the food Nazis would think of that! Yeah, they’d probably issue a Cease and Desist and force the teachers to offer a veggie and fruit plate, skim milk and water.
Yeah can’t have candy or coke machines in school nowadays that might kill someone, BUT, we have condom machines instead and morning after pills and abortion rights and……. where the hell is the parents? too busy trying to compete with the Joneses? Because our society have led/forced* mothers into a way of life there is no parent to monitor what the hell is going on in their childs life and be more involved.
*(imho) because without 2 parents working, most of the time, you can no longer afford to function properly in society unless your other half is rich.
The alternative would be to struggle like heck which is what some of us are willing to do for the sake of our children.

I’m not offended at all. I’m a working mom; I work long hours because I have to in order to make ends meet. I’d love more than anything to be a stay-at-home mom. Hubby is a work-at-home dad, which is wonderful. I believe that my daughter is well-behaved because she stayed at home instead of attending daycare or preschool.
That is great freedom1781 and I hear so much of the same thing all the time. I wish I could be a stay-at-home mom. It is good that at least one of you can be there for your daughter. That is the problem I am talking about. Our society has dictated to us and created the situation where it is almost impossible to have one parent at home raising the child. I mean it seems to be a forced decission in the matter of economics.
The only state which I ever got a nutritious lunch was up in Iowa. Them farmers know what a growin boy needs. Course that was in ’70.
After we moved , mom made our lunch every day. I think it was right after she read “Back To Eden” and learned about all those pesticides they were putting spraying on the food.
But now we are smarter and have to have the food police to ****** up our lives and mess with our childrens heads.

Dick Morris was on Hannity last night. Morris’ theory is that the Dems have dropped the abortion argument, because they know it is a loser for them. Instead, they have shifted over to contraception, because just about everybody agrees that women should have access to contraception, if they want it. Now, think back to that bizarre exchange during the debate moderated by George Snuffleupagus where George kept asking if states have the right to ban (outlaw) contraception. Fast forward to just a few days ago to the contraception mandate and Catholic churches.
Morris’ theory is that this is a deliberate move by the Dems. to paint the GOP as being anti-contraception. Somehow, respecting a religious institutions decision to not pay for contraception for its employees is now somehow equivalent to denying women their rights or access to contraception.
