National Tracking Poll: Donald Trump 50%, Ted Cruz 26%, John Kasich 17%…

Tracking polls can be a little sketchy because they only track a continued snapshot of the same electorate over long periods of time.  Because a ‘tracking poll’ only measures a group of voters who are engaged early in the election process (in this example beginning December ’15) such polling methodology tends to miss the segment of the population that tunes-in later in the process, when it matters more.
As a consequence of methodology, tracking polls tend to miss the enthusiasm aspect which becomes more important as the race narrows and more people engage.  However, that said, the current NBC/Survey Monkey tracking poll shows a significant upward shift for Donald Trump and a downward trend for Ted Cruz and John Kasich:

Because of the methodology, the results are on the lower end of actual sentiment.  Meaning the national support for the upward shift is understated, and the drop in the downward trend is also understated.  In essence, Donald Trump is likely doing much better nationally than this representative snapshot, and Cruz/Kasich are likely doing much worse.

Jaw-Dropping Crowd for Donald Trump Rally Tonight In Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania…

According to local media reports, people were lined up as early as 6:30am this morning. Thousands couldn’t even get in to the filled venue.

WILKES-BARRE TWP. – Donald Trump took the stage to a cheering, capacity crowd at the Mohegan Sun Arena around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
“We love Wilkes-Barre,” Trump said, opening his remarks. “This place is unbelievable.”

Trump immediately said his son reminded him to immediately tell the crowd he supports the area natural gas and coal industries.  “This is my last stop. Tomorrow is the election,” Trump said.  A win in Pennsylvania will help him get closer to the Republican nomination.
“We’re going to make American great again,” he said.  Trump was quick to quick praise local congressmen Lou Barletta and Tom Marino.  “Lou and Tom, Lou and Tom. Get them up here (on stage). If you could get them down here. What great guys, from the beginning,” Trump said. (more…)

Leverage – Megyn Kelly Announces Planned Interview With Donald Trump….

It was inevitable because it is strategically brilliant, and no-one knows how to position leverage better than the current republican frontrunner Donald Trump. Megyn Kelly will interview Donald Trump on May 17th for a special Fox event.

However, before reviewing the upcoming interview dynamics, and the strategic timing therein, it’s helpful to consider the entire political landscape as it relates to the uprising of common sense Americans and the abject disconnect from the professional political class.
Many readers have shared and discussed an issue that will now become of greater visibility. The “anti-Trump” media coalition (group 3 from previous discussion) were so caught up in the rapture and blood-lust to tear down Donald Trump they failed to pause and consider the extreme position they were taking.
If their efforts failed, and if Donald Trump -with the larger electorate behind him- succeeded in his quest, how could anti-Trump professional punditry ever walk back their most vitriolic and hate-filled statements?  The short answer is, they can’t. (more…)
