Media Splodey heads in 3,… 2,…. 1,.... (The Hill) — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) hasn’t decided whether to run for president, but she insisted Thursday she has the “fire in my belly” to do it. Fox News’s Greta van Susteren asked Palin, who has provided few hints about her decisionmaking process or timeline, if she has the “fire in your belly” to run, citing former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s claim that his “heart says no” to another presidential bid. (more…)
Stoking more speculation about whether she intends to run for the White House, Sarah Palin is sending out 400,000 direct mail fundraising solicitations for 2012, including to voters in earlier primary states. First reported by The Washington Post, the solicitations are titled “2012 Can’t Come Fast Enough,” but make no specific mention of her plans.
“Taking back control of the House last year was only the first step,” Palin says in the mailer from SarahPac, sent out nationwide. “Now you and I must fix our eyes on 2012. Our goal is to take back the White House and the Senate.” (more…)
(DailyCaller) In response to the revelation that about 20 percent of the latest slew of Obamacare waivers went to luxurious restaurants, nightclubs and hotels in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s district, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told The Daily Caller the waiver process is “corrupt.”
“Unflippingbelievable! No, wait, it is believable,” Palin said in an email to TheDC. “Seriously, this is corrupt. And anyone who still supports the Pelosi-Reid-Obama agenda of centralized government takeovers of the free market and the corresponding crony capitalism is, in my book, complicit.” (more…)
h/t PatriotDreamer – ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Reuters) – Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin won another round in court on Monday against a Pennsylvania teenager accused of stalking the outspoken conservative, telling a judge, “I fear for my friends’ and for my family’s safety.” The three-hour Anchorage court hearing, with Palin and her antagonists testifying by telephone, ended with the judge renewing a previous restraining order against Shawn Christy, 19, and issuing a similar order against his father, Craig. We have held the position for quite some time that if the Main Stream Media could set asside their insufferable water carrying for all things Obama, and actually engage in objective reporting, they would begin to realize Sarah Palin represents “common sense” American ideology. However, that would require them to disconnect from the rabid, nonsensical, ideological elitism and strike a thundershock to their core beliefs about conservative character and principle. Well waddayaknow, it appears Sarah and Todd might just have unleashed such a “thundershock”……. (Politico) Make no mistake about it: The big star at Tammy Haddad’s eighteenth annual garden brunch was not, say, Chace Crawford, Morgan Fairchild or Shaun White. The biggest head-turner was Sarah Palin, who attended the party with Fox News’ s Greta Van Susteren. Palin was also accompanied by her husband, Todd, and daughter Bristol. We had to ask: Why was the former Alaska governor, who has knocked the Georgetown cocktail party crowd in the past, at the brunch? (more…)
She’s right……….. (The Hill) — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) on Friday doubled down on her opposition to raising the nation’s debt ceiling. “Hells no. I would not vote to increase that debt ceiling,” she said during an interview on Fox News, where she is a paid contributor. Palin, a potential GOP presidential candidate, has long been opposed to raising the nation’s $14.3 trillion debt limit. (more…)
HatTip Patriot Dreamer (Sarah Palin) — Please make up your mind, Mr. President. You can’t vacillate when spending America’s human and fiscal resources in yet another foreign country without good reason. You said that Libyan leader Gaddafi has got to go. Many of us heard that as your call to action and agreed, “Okay, you’re right. He’s an evil dictator who kills his own innocent people, so enforce a no-fly zone so he can’t continue an aerial slaughter.” But then you said our mission in Libya isn’t to oust Gaddafi after all. (Or vice versa on the order or your statements. Between you and your advisers the public has been given so many conflicting statements on why we’re intervening in Libya that I apologize if I can’t keep up with the timing and rationale of your murky foreign policy positions.) First (via Newsmax) Franklin Graham: Palin Not Running for President – The Rev. Franklin Graham said Sunday that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin doesn’t like politics and is not running for president. Graham, one of the most influential evangelical ministers in the country and the son of the legendary Rev. Billy Graham, knows Palin well. He told ABC News’ Christiane Amanpour that he traveled with her to Haiti and said the former Republican vice presidential candidate “likes speaking on the issues, and I agree with many of the issues she brings up. I don’t see her as running for president,” according to Politico and ABC News. (more…)
Take the time to watch the video below the fold… well worth it... (Via American Thinker w/ Mark Levin Video Below) By David Catron : Contemplating the 2012 election that can already be seen looming on the distant horizon, the President’s advisors were no doubt hoping that the “death panel” debate was… well… dead. But Obama himself inadvertently resurrected it when, in response to Republican budget proposals, he claimed that Medicare costs will be kept under control by the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB).
