Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

I love it! Would take the brindle over the chrome any day.
Good morning, Garrison 💕🍁☕ First of October…FINALLY!! And with apologies I will have to miss a CURSDAY due to a 7:30 am emergency dental appointment. Ugh. Hope I’ll be forgiven…
And yes, this IS me in spirit.

Hope all goes well at the dentist, Betsy ❤️
Mornin’ Dear Woo
Always love to see you here. ❤️
Hi JWoo and Soazburrolady!
Mornin’ Dear Grappa
(I told you why I call you Grappa, didn’t I?)
It’s what my children called my dad when they were little – they are grandparents now! ❤️
Grappa is also the name of the Italian grape brandy. 🥃
Indeed! 🥂

Evening, dear Bet. And evening to all my other Treeper Friends. Sorry I’ve been out of sight for most of the day . . . I’ve been doing some mandatory roof repair. Did it just in time before the heavy rain came this afternoon.
When I get focused on a job it tends to obsessively bother me until I get it done. Well, the heavy rain came and “most” of my leak fixin’ worked. I still have some small leaks. They’re persistent enough to tell me they’re likely coming from the tiled portion of my roof which—if true–will call for some professional skills I don’t. I was very much aware of being “an old guy on a ladder” so I was especially careful going both up and down. Since I was careful, I fortunately, didn’t have any difficulty. It’s always great to read your words, along with the words of my other Treehouse friends. Be well, love. And, especially, be blessed.
Mornin’ Dear Garrison
We finally got some rain – Yay. And…..I even remembered to play your music while listening to it! Lovely.
Thanks ❤️
Hi, love. Texas has been getting more than its share of heavy rainfall. The rivers in the central part are prone to flooding so flood control/rescue is ready. Cross your fingers. Glad you are enjoying our music. . .it really is here for us all.

I love the Everly Brothers.
Chad & Jeremy and Peter & Gordon remind me of them.
I was very busy so I wasn’t able to read what Sundance had to say about the Dubai to Tel Aviv horror flight.
As you know me, when I can get to the source of the information I do so and that way we can avoid interpretations.
In this case you have to know that it was a miracle because a few things had to all happen at the same short time period to save the plane:
1. The Indian pilot managed to open the cockpit just before he collapsed from the stabs.
2. Three Israeli guys, Yaniv, Asaf and Zvika had to be at the front of the plane when they were needed.
3. There were extra British pilots who accidentally boarded the flight.
4. Yaniv watched the documentaries “Air Crash Investigation” and learned how to pull the steering sticks and stabilize a diving plane.
If not for all those four elements, we would have now been at the 9/11 kind of incident. There were close to 180 passengers mostly Israelis. And who know where it would have crashed. This would have been the worst terror attack in Israel’s history aside for 10/7.
This had the potential to destroy the Abraham Accord with the UAE.
Realize that the UAE airline had a radical Islamist from Oman at the cockpit and there is an agreement that they don’t board people from nations who have no diplomatic relationship with Israel.
Also the Israeli Shabak (Israel’s FBI) had arguments with the UAE airlines regarding their level of security.
Yaniv was the main hero. He is a plumber and he did serve in the IDF but I don’t yet know where.
A. I showed you the flight video yesterday. But I had some technical problem so not everyone watched. The video has more than a minute of the passengers getting into panic while the plane is apparently diving. But there is also the second part with the bleeding pilot and the heroes telling what is happening in real time.
B. Today I also translated the decommissioned video of Yaniv visiting the Prime Minister and describing the whole event beginning to end.
Video A: https://rumble.com/v7g6xqo-exclusive-compilation-translated.-dubai-tel-aviv-flight-30-sep-2026.-an-att.html
Video B: https://rumble.com/v7g7yi4-the-hero-who-saved-the-flight-from-dubai-to-tel-aviv-tells-what-happened..html
God bless Israel and the USA.
Did you know that the flight number is : 1073 ?
10/7 and 3 years (past 10/7).
Just saying.
Accidental? Not even.
Sundance appropriately described it as miraculous. 🙏‼️
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
AMEN, AMEN, & AMEN
BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!
PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!
Typo: B at the end. The word “Decommissioned” should be “description”. Sorry.
David, It truly was a miracle. The incident reminded me of flight 73 here in the U.S. on September 11 in which the passengers fought the hijackers for control of the airplane. Unfortunately, they were not able to bring it to the same conclusion as this group did. It demonstrates the true danger they faced and more importantly, the bravery and decisiveness they displayed in entering the cockpit and taking control back from the first officer
Yes. By the way the first victim of 10/7 was an Israeli (ex-Israeli combat guy) who fought the terrorists and he missed that there was one behind him who stabbed him. His name was Daniel Lewin. You can look it up.
Blessings.
Dear David, BLESSED are you by The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!
We continuously Thank HIM for you and Granting this amazing ability to tell The Truth of these Times.
May GOD THE FATHER continue to BLESS & Keep you, AMEN, AMEN, & AMEN
Thought the very same, benzy.
Thank you, David! Baruch Hashem!
Thanks, David for all this great info. And, thank you God for observant, courageous men in the right place at the right time. Truly miraculous.
Thank you David for providing this insightful information our own MSM fails to provide. Here, the facts regarding the stabbing are obscured with words such as “a violent altercation”, “brawl”, “a struggle,” a “fight”. Reason is this terrorist attack didn’t fit the narrative. My first thoughts when I learned of this was recollection of Flight 93 on 9/11 in which brave passengers managed to commandeer the plane which crashed in Shanksville, PA. Thanks to this brave pilot and the brave hero Yaniv and other Israeli heroes, this horrific event, thank God,had a miraculous ending. Your videos were very helpful. Thank you.
Thanks.
An interesting interview and analysis of the FlyDubai incident from a website that reviews airplane accidents and pilot issues. He is talking with one of the passengers from the flight

My hope is the Father, my refuge the Son, my protection the Holy Spirit. O Holy Trinity, glory to Thee.
The Holy Trinity is at the heart of a healthy Western Civilization when its Christians are genuinely Christo-centric in their daily lives.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; both now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; both now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy upon me, a sinner.
Might be worth keeping an eye on this.
I wonder if it could be taken sublingual.
I’ve heard of this stuff but in powder form. It would need to be dissolved and then cold sterilized through a 0.22 micron filter.
The problem is that it’s not soluble in the usual stuff. From Wiki:
“Cyclodextrin is moderately soluble in water and glycerin; well soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethylformamide, pyridine, HFIP, and ethylene glycol“
Getting those ingredients might be tricky. Then would you want to inject them?
But with that said, perhaps a liposomal compound of the product would produce better bioavailability. Lots of questions for the chemist.

The Prayer That Changes Everything, Everybody live forever somewhere in eternity! We all chose one way or another.
Time is ticking away, and eternity is too long to leave to chance. In this powerful message, we dive deep into the sobering reality of separation from God and reveal the beautiful, simple truth of His saving grace .

Politicians and humanists attempt to fix the mess in our world by tinkering around the edges and fail miserably.
The Christian believer is not hoping God will do a patch-up job but to Him fulfilling His promise as Peter wrote: “according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.” (2 Peter 3:13)
With the return of Jesus Christ, God will make everything new, a world where all will serve Him doing what is right. It will be a world filled with those who love Him but no one who has rejected Jesus Christ.
That is why Christians look forward to this day and try to live now in a way that anticipates this day and new world but reject all efforts to do a patch-up job that refuses to acknowledge God and Jesus Christ. That is also why Christians proclaim the message Jesus Christ preached and call all people to repent, trust and believe in Him but warn what a refusal means.
There was a Canaanite city called Ugarit, way up north in the area controlled by the Hittites. It got sacked by the Sea Peoples, burning their clay tablets into a permanent record. We’ve learned lots about Canaanites through Ugarit’s misfortune.
They had a Chief God, El the creator of the world. He had a consort God who birthed many children gods, including Baal, the storm God, who rose to dominance as El subsided. (Enjoyed retirement?)
The Philistines were part of the Sea Peoples who weakened Egypt and settled in what used to be Canaanite Gaza. They rapidly blended in genetically with Canaanites.
At about the same time, Israelis show up in Egyptian inscriptions and archeological diggings. The inscription precedes the Philistines by a few decades. They are Canaanites who moved away from city states forming villages in the hills. The digs show they are culturally Canaanite. And Hebrew is a Canaanite language.
There is much debate over Jehovah’s origins. Most think he originated south of Canaan. Archeology shows Him usurping Baal’s position, El’s role as creator, El’s consort, and even later Baal’s sister as his consort. That last was by Judahites guarding the southern border of Egypt for the Persian Empire that freed them from captivity.
The Bible describes pieces of this takeover. Jehovah going with Israel into Canaan. God proving superiority over Baal. It even has Kings throwing El’s consort out of the Jerusalem temple a few years before Babylonian captivity. And the text goes from ‘there are other God’s but worship only me’ to ‘I am the only God, everything else are man made idols’.
BTW, the Dead Sea Scroll fragments include 3 versions of the Torah. Versions that probably became the Masoretic Text, today’s Jewish Torah. Versions, also in Hebrew, that likely were descended from the scrolls used as the source for the Greek translation. And versions of the Samaritan Torah. All preexisting Christ and present in his day. Though nobody has a clue what was considered sacred by the Dead Sea librarians. Except, one Bible book is absent.
We can see bits of the changes to monotheism in the biblical texts even as late as the 3rd century BC. And archeologically, people don’t earnestly practice Torah laws until after the 2nd century BC Maccabean revolt.
The Jews were in the process of determining which books were sacred. The Torah had been universally accepted. The Samaritans never went further. There is debate over Saducees ever going further. The Pharisees also accepted the Prophets and a few of the books that would later be grouped as the Writings. Jesus uses this terminology. The Law and the Prophets. The Pharisees survived The Jewish Revolts and lead the people afterwards and closed their selection of sacred books in the second century.
Christians found the collection of books translated into Greek used by Greek speaking Jews throughout the Diaspora, and took them for their own. That is where the biblical prophecy of the virgin birth comes from. A Hebrew word that can be translated as young girl or as virgin. The game of adding up how old fathers were when their sons were born adds up to ~7500 yrs in the Greek, not 6000 in the Hebrew. But Jerome assumed the Jewish collection was better. And frankly, so too did the Protestants.
I find that sad. Especially since most of our New Testament quotes of the Old Testament are from the Greek. Though some are from the other tradition and a few can’t be sourced from either.
Today translators play games. Mostly maintaining Jewish superiority unless it is unclear.
Personally I dislike using the terms, Scripture, Canon or Bible for Jewish writings. Those are all Christian terms invented or applied after Jews did similar things. But even modern day scholars use them when talking about the Hebrew Bible.
You called for honesty. All the above is generally accepted by scholars. With great debate. And it will likely change over time. Scholars gain recognition by proving past scholars wrong. And there is a general drive to date creation of the Bible to ever more recent times. The Dead Sea Scrolls are a bulwark against that drive. Some of their fragments have been dated as old as the 3rd century BC. But there is a serious question about the Torah in the 5th century BC in the preserved communications between jews guarding the southern Egyptian border and Jerusalem. Nobody mentions the Torah. Nor are people chastised for blatant violations of the Torah. Even having a Temple down there is a violation of Torah. And they explicitly ask Jerusalem about temple problems.
I come from a tradition that holds Old Testament prophecies to be predictions of Christ’s salvation of all people. It is hard to hold on to that tradition when it seems to be more like old traditions worked and reworked by later generations for political purposes.
I sometimes wonder what all that implies for Christianity. But I don’t want to give Christianity up. Especially since I know that I can’t trust scholars to not change their stories. Heck, if scholars aren’t disagreeing, complete with arguments, then they aren’t doing their job and it is a dead field.
And every now and then scholars are caught out in dishonesty. Despite knowing that church fathers quoted the end of Mark hundreds of years before the entire Bible was put in one codex, these scholars routinely cite its absence from some of the oldest codices to claim those last verses were added later and don’t belong. That particular dishonesty is taken as ‘the Gospel truth’ by most scholars translating the Bible today. Dishonesty like that sure lowers my confidence in them.
BTW, that is Isaiah that the authors of 2 Peter and Revelation quote. Modern scholarship breaks Isaiah into two or three authors. Ch 1-39 attributed to the 7th or 8th century, possibly Isaiah, Ch 40-55 to the exile, 6th century, and Ch 56-66 to sometime after the exile. The prophecy is in 65 and also 66. Scholars push 2 Peter to an anonymous author between 100-125 AD and despite testimony of church fathers who were the Apostle’s disciples, they push Revelation onto some other John around 95-96 AD. Ugh. It is one thing if you believe the apostles Peter and John are quoting the prophet Isaiah and another if you think some anonymous quack is pretending to be an apostle quoting an anonymous quack pretending to be a prophet.
But they do warn us that anonymously writing in someone else’s name was normal for those times, so maybe I shouldn’t be so judgemental.
You can either accept that God has revealed Himself to us through the inspired Word of Scripture handed down to us by the Church or you can reject that and search out other conclusions and mixtures. That just about sums it up. It’s either His way or the big highway. 🙂
If you want good books discussing the Ugaritic, Hittite, Amorite, Assyrian, Babylonian etc. writings that have been discovered by modern archeology, and how it ties to the Jewish Torah/ Tanakh and Christian Bible, I would strongly recommend starting with Derek Gilbert’s “Giants, Gods and Dragons”, Michael Heiser’s “The Unseen Realm”, and some of Ken Johnson’s translations of the Dead Sea Scrolls into English. Heiser’s “Reversing Hermon” is good as well. They are on youtube and have websites as well.
There are tablets and scrolls that explain what a god in one area was called in other areas, so sojourners would not worship the wrong god. Modern Christianity treats an idol as an inert object, and has changed course by presuming the names were placeholders for a carved stick figure. And when you say “knowing” that Irenaeus quoted the end of Mark “before” it was written (expunged by the Gnostics), you would be stunned to know they probably have no idea. There was a lot edited via translation word choices, too.
Gilbert, Heiser and Johnson actually study the original languages you are asking about (Heiser died a few years ago, was in charge of ancient ME languages for Logos Bible Software and knew them fluently). They dig into how the various writings tie together cohesively, and make it make sense in a clear way.
I agree, most seminaries are clueless at best and infiltrated at worst. Much of modern “scholarship” was damaged by 2 academics, Hort and Westcott. They translated the Greek as experts, like the 1619 Project documented American history by a historian.
John 12:37-41 says it is the same Isaiah in the beginning and end of the book. I have read the ante-nicene fathers, until historian Eusebius these arguments were generally not a problem (he decided his predecessors were ‘not educated’ and misunderstood a lot). Then they began ignoring the Old Testament (Augustine wrote a lot of it is just filler material), relying upon what the Jews used (1 Enoch Book of the Watchers and Book of Parables appears to have been excised by them), and intermingling some of the gnostic teachings (like the Protoevangelion of James).
Dating writings has been proven with modern scientific methods, too, from fragments of the texts. These so-called biblical expert would never claim that Homer did not write the “Odyssey” because there is no early copy. Most works from antiquity would be tossed if that were the standard.
Don’t give up. Learn scripture better, from someone who knows it very well, verse by verse, starting in Genesis.
There is a great video at KHouse (available on Roku) explaining how we got our Bible.

A dog on point is a beautiful thing:
Russian Spaniel

This pup is Russia’s smallest gun dog, with significant contributions from English Cocker Spaniels to develop a smaller but capable hunting companion. The breed has many desirable traits that make them an excellent choice in the field.
The Russian Spaniel is a crossbreed. Therefore, the American Kennel Club (AKC) doesn’t recognize them officially. However, the Continental Kennel Club (CKC) has bestowed this honor on the breed.
The Russian Spaniel is gaining a foothold in the United States, and they are popular pets in their native land of Russia. This breed has a lot going for it, whether as a family pet or hunting companion. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more charming pooch.

Self Portrait – Henri Matisse

Henri Matisse was a French painter, draftsman, sculptor, and printmaker. Known for his use of color, his work is regarded as responsible for laying the foundation for modern plastic arts, along with the work of Pablo Picasso and Marcel Duchamp. At the age of 18, he went to study law, working as a court administrator. But, after a bout of appendicitis, during which his mother gave him paints and an easel to pass the time, he began drawing, soon leaving law school to pursue his art career, to the dismay of his father.
He was exposed to the works of Van Gogh, who was practically unknown at the time, in 1897 and 1898, when he visited his friend, painter John Peter Russell, in the island of Belle Ile, which totally changed his painting style. A lover of all art, he immersed himself in the work of his fellow painters, and often got himself into debt buying the work of other artists. He received much inspiration from the work of other artists as well, drawing inspiration from such varied sources as Japanese art, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, and Pointillism.
His work, characterized as “fauvre,” or wild, often met with harsh criticism, which made it hard for him to provide for his wife and children. Due to vehement hatred of his works, his Blue Nude was burned in 1913 at an Armory Exhibition in Chicago. Although he had harsh critics, he had loving followers, including Gertrude Stein and her family. Throughout the years of 1907-1911, his friends organized and financed an art school, Academie Matisse, in which Matisse could instruct young artists.
In his later life, Matisse, who was partially reliant on a wheelchair, continued his artistic endeavors in creating cut paper collages, and working as a graphic artist. He also published Jazz in 1947, a collection of his printed and written works. Before his death of a heart attack, he established a museum of his own works, which has helped establish his legacy as a leading figure in the modern art movement.

“But in Friendship, being free of all that, we think we have chosen our peers. In reality, a few years’ difference in the dates of our births, a few more miles between certain houses, the choice of one university instead of another, posting to different regiments, the accident of a topic being raised or not raised at a first meeting—any of these chances might have kept us apart. But, for a Christian, there are, strictly speaking, no chances. A secret Master of the Ceremonies has been at work. Christ, who said to the disciples “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you,” can truly say to every group of Christian friends “You have not chosen one another but I have chosen you for one another.” The Friendship is not a reward for our discrimination and good taste in finding one another out. It is the instrument by which God reveals to each the beauties of all the others. They are no greater than the beauties of a thousand other men; by Friendship God opens our eyes to them. They are, like all beauties, derived from Him, and then, in a good Friendship, increased by Him through the Friendship itself, so that it is His instrument for creating as well as for revealing.”

Mornin’ Mo
Many thanks for the open door. It is so like you. ❤️
This week, our precious kitty, Harriet, had a dramatic increase in her kidney disease symptoms and we had to make the decision to let her go be with her brother/ littermate – Ozzie. He passed exactly one month earlier, and I think her heart was broken. The last few days of her life were bittersweet. She had decided to stay on a small area of the floor in the living room, and we had moved all her necessities in reach there. I slept with her on the floor and we reminisced while comforting each other.
We had trapped Ozzie and Harriet together 19 years ago as 5 week old kittens. They came into this world together and are now together in heaven.
I know they are now happy and pain free – but, I ache with missing them. They have left an unfillable void 😢

Hi Soaz
good to see you

I know how much you love your animals
I just had to say good bye to one of mine last week
very very very hard to do
I’m so sorry to hear of your pet. I’ve lost 3 kitties and a burro in the past year and a half, and my Olive is on borrowed time – it’s a bit overwhelming. I now have 10 animals, but it feels amazingly empty.
I like Matisse – a lot!
Can’t get enough, so bring him on. He really did incorporate many styles – with finesse!
🙏🏻 ❤️
Thanks, Grappa ❤️
Our wonderful burro lady:
Sorry to hear of your loss. It is never easy to let our loved fur babies go. My heart goes out to you and gives you a big hug.
Marti.
Thanks, Marti
I think my eyes are permanently red and swollen! Wish I could handle it more gracefully.
My folks (when they were my age now, aka old!), adopted only older pets so as to not outlive them. We took the 2 that were left at the end, and 1 lived 9 years. Guess she showed them. 😁
That’s my biggest worry now. I’m at the age now and so is my dog Hunter I don’t know who will go first, him or me. As much as I would miss him, he would miss me more, I got him when I retired and he has been with me almost night and day since then. If I can’t take him with he mopes until I get home
I know, Jake.
Such an important quandary.
We’ve arranged for care for our guys when we’re gone. Gives me some peace of mind……but, we all know, it will be traumatic for them.
However, IMHO – the answer is not to avoid taking them – we’d all lose the best moments of our lives. ❤️
19 years! What lucky cats.
They spent their whole lives together.
Safe and loved.
With you.
I doubt cat lives get much better than that.
I know you will miss them.
This is so helpful to me today Mo Peace.
We believe this .
My hubby and I are proof of this gift.
As some others become friends after we get to see their gifts.
We get “drawn to” for a reason.
All from God.
We thank God always.

Can the Globalist/WEF/City of London economic system co-exist with America’s reborn Economic system? The Trumpster is bringing jobs and industry back to America but is there a point where both parties can live peacefully?
no
We don’t see what God has in store, we can pray , vote, encourage each other and thank God for all.
The globalist goal is to destroy and control us.
Which includes our love of God.
We will not ever give that up. So doubtful it will be a peaceful time.

have pity on me, and answer me.
Of you my heart speaks; you my glance seeks.

Your presence, O Lord, I seek.
Hide not your face from me;
do not in anger repel your servant.
You are my helper: cast me not off.
I believe that I shall see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living.
I believe that I shall see the bounty of the Lord

DAILY MEDITATION: PSALM 27:7-9, 13-14
☘️
I believe that I shall see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living. (Psalm Response)
The psalmist didn’t hold back about how things looked around him: “Evildoers come at me to devour my flesh” and “An army encamp[s] against me” (Psalm 27:2, 3). But even with the injustice and danger he faced, the psalmist proclaimed his trust in God: “I believe that I shall see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living” (27:13).
We see a similar response from Job in today’s first reading. When his friends accused him of deserving the suffering he was experiencing, Job lamented, “Why do you hound me as though you were divine, and insatiably prey upon me?” (19:22). But like the psalmist, he declared his confidence: “I know that my Vindicator lives. . . . And from my flesh I shall see God” (19:25, 26).
When we go through trials and sufferings, it’s often wise to ask what we could do differently. For example, a health crisis might prompt us to take better care of our bodies, or a strained relationship might lead us to be more patient with our loved ones. But there are some trials that can’t be resolved by new resolutions. In a special way, these challenges invite us to lean on the Lord more fully.
Just as Job and the psalmist believed that their trials would come to an end, you can be certain that yours will, too, whether in this life or in the next. As you walk through them now, you can also be sure that God is walking with you. He is faithful in every season of your life. So even today, you can see his “good things”—in the peace that he gives you, in his mercy, and in his promise to remain with you.
So join the psalmist in proclaiming, “I believe that I shall see the good things of the Lord. I believe that I can experience his presence and his peace. I believe that I can draw from the abundant provision that he provides—right here and right now.”
“Lord, I trust in your goodness and mercy.”

☘️
Jesus appointed seventy-two other disciples whom he sent ahead of him in pairs to every town and place he intended to visit. He said to them, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest. Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves. Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals; and greet no one along the way. Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this household.’ If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you, for the laborer deserves his payment. Do not move about from one house to another. Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you, cure the sick in it and say to them, ‘The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.’ Whatever town you enter and they do not receive you, go out into the streets and say, ‘The dust of your town that clings to our feet, even that we shake off against you.’ Yet know this: the Kingdom of God is at hand. I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town.”

✟
“Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”
Psalms 51:11 (KJV)
COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 51
The psalmist prays for mercy, humbly confessing and lamenting his sins. (1-6) He pleads for pardon, that he may promote the glory of God and the conversion of sinners. (7-15) God is pleased with a contrite heart, A prayer for the prosperity of Zion. (16-19)
1-6 David, being convinced of his sin, poured out his soul to God in prayer for mercy and grace. Whither should backsliding children return, but to the Lord their God, who alone can heal them? he drew up, by Divine teaching, an account of the workings of his heart toward God. Those that truly repent of their sins, will not be ashamed to own their repentance. Also, he instructs others what to do, and what to say. David had not only done much, but suffered much in the cause of God; yet he flees to God’s infinite mercy, and depends upon that alone for pardon and peace. He begs the pardon of sin. The blood of Christ, sprinkled upon the conscience, blots out the transgression, and, having reconciled us to God, reconciles us to ourselves. The believer longs to have the whole debt of his sins blotted out, and every stain cleansed; he would be thoroughly washed from all his sins; but the hypocrite always has some secret reserve, and would have some favorite lust spared. David had such a deep sense of his sin, that he was continually thinking of it, with sorrow and shame. His sin was committed against God, whose truth we deny by wilful sin; with him we deal deceitfully. And the truly penitent will ever trace back the streams of actual sin to the fountain of original depravity. He confesses his original corruption. This is that foolishness which is bound in the heart of a child, that proneness to evil, and that backwardness to good, which is the burden of the regenerate, and the ruin of the unregenerate. He is encouraged, in his repentance, to hope that God would graciously accept him. Thou desirest truth in the inward part; to this God looks, in a returning sinner. Where there is truth, God will give wisdom. Those who sincerely endeavour to do their duty shall be taught their duty; but they will expect good only from Divine grace overcoming their corrupt nature.
7-15 Purge me with hyssop, with the blood of Christ applied to my soul by a lively faith, as the water of purification was sprinkled with a bunch of hyssop. The blood of Christ is called the blood of sprinkling, #Heb 12:24|. If this blood of Christ, which cleanses from all sin, cleanse us from our sin, then we shall be clean indeed, #Heb 10:2|. He asks not to be comforted, till he is first cleansed; if sin, the bitter root of sorrow, be taken away, he can pray in faith, Let me have a well-grounded peace, of thy creating, so that the bones broken by convictions may rejoice, may be comforted. Hide thy face from my sins; blot out all mine iniquities out of thy book; blot them out, as a cloud is blotted out and dispelled by the beams of the sun. And the believer desires renewal to holiness as much as the joy of salvation. David now saw, more than ever, what an unclean heart he had, and sadly laments it; but he sees it is not in his own power to amend it, and therefore begs God would create in him a clean heart. When the sinner feels this change is necessary, and reads the promise of God to that purpose, he begins to ask it. He knew he had by his sin grieved the Holy Spirit, and provoked him to withdraw. This he dreads more than anything. He prays that Divine comforts may be restored to him. When we give ourselves cause to doubt our interest in salvation, how can we expect the joy of it? This had made him weak; he prays, I am ready to fall, either into sin or into despair, therefore uphold me with thy Spirit. Thy Spirit is a free Spirit, a free Agent himself, working freely. And the more cheerful we are in our duty, the more constant we shall be to it. What is this but the liberty wherewith Christ makes his people free, which is contrasted with the yoke of bondage? #Ga 5:1|. It is the Spirit of adoption spoken to the heart. Those to whom God is the God of salvation, he will deliver from guilt; for the salvation he is the God of, is salvation from sin. We may therefore plead with him, Lord, thou art the God of my salvation, therefore deliver me from the dominion of sin. And when the lips are opened, what should they speak but the praises of God for his forgiving mercy?
16-19 Those who are thoroughly convinced of their misery and danger by sin, would spare no cost to obtain the remission of it. But as they cannot make satisfaction for sin, so God cannot take any satisfaction in them, otherwise than as expressing love and duty to him. The good work wrought in every true penitent, is a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, and sorrow for sin. It is a heart that is tender, and pliable to God’s word. Oh that there were such a heart in every one of us! God is graciously pleased to accept this; it is instead of all burnt-offering and sacrifice. The broken heart is acceptable to God only through Jesus Christ; there is no true repentance without faith in him. Men despise that which is broken, but God will not. He will not overlook it, he will not refuse or reject it; though it makes God no satisfaction for the wrong done to him by sin. Those who have been in spiritual troubles, know how to pity and pray for others afflicted in like manner. David was afraid lest his sin should bring judgements upon the city and kingdom. No personal fears or troubles of conscience can make the soul, which has received grace, careless about the interests of the church of God. And let this be the continued joy of all the redeemed, that they have redemption through the blood of Christ, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace.
Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710.

Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!
WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
MAPA = MAKE AMERICA PRAY AGAIN
CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART
In Your kindness, have mercy on me
Let me not ever stray far from Thee
Blot out my sins from your Holy sight
Strengthen me – to fight the good fight
In Your compassion, blot out my offense
For my transgression, there is no defense
Wash me and cleanse me of all of my guilt
I have sinned against Thee – I need rebuilt
My offenses are ever before me, Oh Lord
I have fallen short as it says in Your Word
Against You alone have I sinned grievously
In Your sight, Oh Lord, sin encompassed me
Justified are You in your sentence dispensed
Without reproach is Your judgment against
For in sin were all men ill-conceived
From the womb we emerge ill-perceived
In truth, it’s the heart only You can see
Instill in my heart Your wisdom for me
Purify and cleanse me that I may know
Wash me – cleanse my soul – whiter than snow
Create in me – a clean heart renewed
Cleansed in the Spirit – no longer eschewed
With a steadfast spirit – I am refreshed
No longer in sin will I be enmeshed
A pure heart create in me, Oh God
No longer will You need to poke and prod
Give me again, Lord, the joy of Your aid
With a steadfast spirit – the ransom is paid
Rescue me, Lord, from evil oppression
Let love – once again – be my obsession
Let repentance and mercy blot out my sin
Let Your Holy Spirit live again within
For, in sacrifice, you take no delight
Burnt offering – You would refuse outright
My sacrifice is a contrite spirit
Humble and worthy – Your voice – I hear it
In Your goodness, Oh Lord, make me anew
Be near me, Oh Lord, keep me close to You
Hold me, remold me – into what I should be
Create in me, Lord, a clean heart from Thee
