We need to get better at recognizing AI. There are some obvious signs: bad visuals that don’t have shadows and contours of real people and animals, improbable or unbelievable story lines, snow or flecks that move all over the video to defeat copyright checks on the images they steal, a droning mellifluous narration that never makes a mistake and stays within a limited range of pitch, repeated and exaggerated hand motions, no blinking, there are so many.
We need protections from AI because it will get so good we won’t be able to tell if it’s real or not. With a small voice sample, a video can be made of someone that makes him say something he never said.
We need discernment more than ever.

Ouch, hang on there fella, while I agree that there is now a ton of Ai generated music and visuals available on utube, I can’t simply ignore a tune and/or lyrics that may appeal just because Ai is now the bogeyman. Is there a difference between Ai created/aided song/lyrics and a brain awash with narcotics – which is where many, many, many of our “legendary” songs come from. I probably wouldn’t let two thirds of my favorite bands/artists into my house, and certainly don’t subscribe to their lifestyle choices – however we’ve been “friends” for years. Sure I’d be weary if there is some subliminal “mind f…g” going on that I don’t know about, but just to enjoy a tune/song purely from a listening/enjoyment point of view? – what can possibly be wrong??

The one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest. (Luke 9:48)
What a contrast today’s readings offer us! On the surface, they seem very different. The first is about Job’s miseries, and the Gospel is about Jesus’ arguing apostles. But both readings focus on the impermanent nature of worldly possessions and prestige.
Let’s start with Job. He was considered a great man in his community. He had many sons and daughters and thousands of livestock. But in a series of wrenching catastrophes, he lost everything in rapid succession. Job reacted, as any of us would, with deep anguish. But he was also keenly aware that the blessings he enjoyed were fleeting: “Naked I came forth from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I go back again. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away” (Job 1:21). He knew that whether he was wealthy or poor, surrounded by a loving family or all alone, he, as well as everything he owned, belonged to the Lord.
By contrast, the apostles in the Gospel are searching for a kind of worldly greatness similar to what Job had before his trials. They weren’t searching for a comfortable life with lots of land and abundant resources, but they wanted the kind of prestige that Job enjoyed. And knowing how human prestige works, they knew that they had to compete against each other for it. There could be only one winner—and eleven losers.
To be fair, the apostles followed Jesus for more than just attention. They loved him and were sincerely trying to live out his teachings. But they still didn’t grasp one of his most important teachings. So Jesus had a child stand beside him while he said, “The one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest” (Luke 9:48). Greatness in the kingdom of God is not about the number of our possessions or our reputation. It’s about having the humility, detachment, and simplicity of a child. It’s about becoming like Jesus, whose greatest joy was to do his Father’s will.
Remember, God doesn’t judge you the same way the world does. His model for greatness is his Son, who didn’t grasp for greatness but who humbly gave up his life. May we all strive to become the “least”!

COMMENTARY FOR 1 CORINTHIANS 6
Cautions against going to law in heathen courts. (1-8) Sins which, if lived and died in, shut out from the kingdom of God. (9-11) Our bodies, which are the members of Christ, and temples of the Holy Ghost, must not be defiled. (12-20)1-8 Christians should not contend with one another, for they are brethren. This, if duly attended to, would prevent many law-suits, and end many quarrels and disputes. In matters of great damage to ourselves or families, we may use lawful means to right ourselves, but Christians should be of a forgiving temper. Refer the matters in dispute, rather than go to law about them. They are trifles, and may easily be settled, if you first conquer your own spirits. Bear and forbear, and the men of least skill among you may end your quarrels. It is a shame that little quarrels should grow to such a head among Christians, that they cannot be determined by the brethren. The peace of a man’s own mind, and the calm of his neighbourhood, are worth more than victory. Lawsuits could not take place among brethren, unless there were faults among them.
9-11 The Corinthians are warned against many great evils, of which they had formerly been guilty. There is much force in these inquiries, when we consider that they were addressed to a people puffed up with a fancy of their being above others in wisdom and knowledge. All unrighteousness is sin; all reigning sin, nay, every actual sin, committed with design, and not repented of, shuts out of the kingdom of heaven. Be not deceived. Men are very much inclined to flatter themselves that they may live in sin, yet die in Christ, and go to heaven. But we cannot hope to sow to the flesh, and reap everlasting life. They are reminded what a change the gospel and grace of God had made in them. The blood of Christ, and the washing of regeneration, can take away all guilt. Our justification is owing to the suffering and merit of Christ; our sanctification to the working of the Holy Spirit; but both go together. All who are made righteous in the sight of God, are made holy by the grace of God.
12-20 Some among the Corinthians seem to have been ready to say, All things are lawful for me. This dangerous conceit St. Paul opposes. There is a liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, in which we must stand fast. But surely a Christian would never put himself into the power of any bodily appetite. The body is for the Lord; is to be an instrument of righteousness to holiness, therefore is never to be made an instrument of sin. It is an honour to the body, that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead; and it will be an honour to our bodies, that they will be raised. The hope of a resurrection to glory, should keep Christians from dishonouring their bodies by fleshly lusts. And if the soul be united to Christ by faith, the whole man is become a member of his spiritual body. Other vices may be conquered in fight; that here cautioned against, only by flight. And vast multitudes are cut off by this vice in its various forms and consequences. Its effects fall not only directly upon the body, but often upon the mind. Our bodies have been redeemed from deserved condemnation and hopeless slavery by the atoning sacrifice of Christ. We are to be clean, as vessels fitted for our Master’s use. Being united to Christ as one spirit, and bought with a price of unspeakable value, the believer should consider himself as wholly the Lord’s, by the strongest ties. May we make it our business, to the latest day and hour of our lives, to glorify God with our bodies, and with our spirits which are his.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

By the Blood of the Lamb – we are healed
By His sacrifice – our fate – it was sealed
Protect her from all danger hurt or harm
We’re calling all Angels – set the alarm
Warring Angels by the dozens dispatched
Go after those demons – get them detached
Comfort Angels dispersed to quell the fear
Through Faith – we command fear disappear
Healing Angels anoint her with the oils
Cover her completely before she spoils
Relaying Angels with a message from God
Rest in His Arms – prepare to be awed
We take authority over our friend today

To guide those in charge of her to concur
