Dealing with disinterested 20 something office staff ain’t at all fun. I just dropped into my teacher mode and wouldn’t allow ’em to loose focus. Fixed the problem! ! Found some great Charlie Bird jazz played on an excellent Fleta classical guitar. I think I’ll put some up tonight.

Gyms were formerly places where primarily young men prepared themselves to do hard things. Modern gyms, like every other institution in Western Civilization have been completely feminized. Going to the gym felt like spending time with my widowed Aunts and their gender studies major daughters.

Hero Sheepdog Assists First Responders with Helicopter Rescue in California…
While first responders on the ground tried to clear the trail so a helicopter could land, the little white sheepdog, who was in charge of a herd of goats that were in the way, corralled the livestock to the side, the New York Post reported.
“The sheepdog stepped up and helped guide a group of goats out of the way so the units could work,” the department said. “That’s a good boy.”
The department posted drone footage of the dog running ahead of the goats and guiding them out of the way of the helicopter so it could land.

King Midas in Reverse I first heard in the film The Limey, starring Terence Stamp and Peter Fonda that I recommend highly.
Stamp gives an all-time performance as a low-level British criminal seeking payback for his daughter’s death at the hands of a 60’s music producer (Fonda). Set against an L.A. and Big Sur background. Stamp’s cockney lingo and acting are A+, you can’t look away.
Fonda’s got a great line … he’s flossing his teeth while his latest young admirer is … um … admiring … wishing she could have been part of the swinging counterculture scene in the 60s.

I found this overview of the codex vaticanus.
The narrator fan boys it a bit over other early versions. I find that useful in understanding that there is not one early version of the Bible, but many.
But it is also interesting in the explanations of all the little quirks in reading this one.
Also, when we read Scriptures we have all these wonderful things. Paragraphs, sentences, words, verses chapters.
We can see some of these things developing. With aids in reading.
Hebrew started out worse. Run-on consonants. In the 2nd temple period they started developing some of these nice things. But they weren’t consistently used. That can be seen in the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Much later, the Masoritic text would be chock full of reading indicators. Even indicating what vowels to use, while still preserving the text.
At the time the Hebrew books were translated to Greek, (Second Temple) Greek was also run-on. But it had vowels.
Hundreds of years later, when the Vaticanus was made, we can see how all those extra markings were being used to help readers.
The education system has produced these communists in America.
Sure, let’s try it one more time, see how high we can get the body count this time when communism is done right.

COMMENTARY FOR 1 JOHN 4
Believers cautioned against giving heed to every one that pretends to the Spirit. (1-6) Brotherly love enforced. (7-21)
1-6 Christians who are well acquainted with the Scriptures, may, in humble dependence on Divine teaching, discern those who set forth doctrines according to the apostles, and those who contradict them. The sum of revealed religion is in the doctrine concerning Christ, his person and office. The false teachers spake of the world according to its maxims and tastes, so as not to offend carnal men. The world approved them, they made rapid progress, and had many followers such as themselves; the world will love its own, and its own will love it. The true doctrine as to the Saviour’s person, as leading men from the world to God, is a mark of the spirit of truth in opposition to the spirit of error. The more pure and holy any doctrine is, the more likely to be of God; nor can we by any other rules try the spirits whether they are of God or not. And what wonder is it, that people of a worldly spirit should cleave to those who are like themselves, and suit their schemes and discourses to their corrupt taste?
7-13 The Spirit of God is the Spirit of love. He that does not love the image of God in his people, has no saving knowledge of God. For it is God’s nature to be kind, and to give happiness. The law of God is love; and all would have been perfectly happy, had all obeyed it. The provision of the gospel, for the forgiveness of sin, and the salvation of sinners, consistently with God’s glory and justice, shows that God is love. Mystery and darkness rest upon many things yet. God has so shown himself to be love, that we cannot come short of eternal happiness, unless through unbelief and impenitence, although strict justice would condemn us to hopeless misery, because we break our Creator’s laws. None of our words or thoughts can do justice to the free, astonishing love of a holy God towards sinners, who could not profit or harm him, whom he might justly crush in a moment, and whose deserving of his vengeance was shown in the method by which they were saved, though he could by his almighty Word have created other worlds, with more perfect beings, if he had seen fit. Search we the whole universe for love in its most glorious displays? It is to be found in the person and the cross of Christ. Does love exist between God and sinners? Here was the origin, not that we loved God, but that he freely loved us. His love could not be designed to be fruitless upon us, and when its proper end and issue are gained and produced, it may be said to be perfected. So faith is perfected by its works. Thus it will appear that God dwells in us by his new-creating Spirit. A loving Christian is a perfect Christian; set him to any good duty, and he is perfect to it, he is expert at it. Love oils the wheels of his affections, and sets him on that which is helpful to his brethren. A man that goes about a business with ill will, always does it badly. That God dwells in us and we in him, were words too high for mortals to use, had not God put them before us. But how may it be known whether the testimony to this does proceed from the Holy Ghost? Those who are truly persuaded that they are the sons of God, cannot but call him Abba, Father. From love to him, they hate sin, and whatever disagrees with his will, and they have a sound and hearty desire to do his will. Such testimony is the testimony of the Holy Ghost.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. the article references these hacks are being attributed to a group out of Russia.
Higher quality hotels have computers available in the lobby for use by patrons. I’d NEVER use hotel WIFI, or log in to anything personal on one of their computers. Using their WIFI to find nearby attractions can be disastrous.
I personally liked the wired connections they used to offer in hotel rooms, much safer. (BYOR) bring your own router for wifi. also (BYOSH) bring your own shower head, I always did as I wished to take a show with actual WATER spray. <eyeroll>
Wireless unknown network security = not safe , best to use your own data on your phone plan esp since almost every cell carrier gives you “free unlimited” data *
*subject to speed limits after “X” # of gigs per month
if you feel you must use and unknown wifi, VPN definately required
