Gateway Pundit continues to miss the point at the tail of an unrelated article about COVID and the jab:
“Then we’ll turn to the Democrats’ so called “big tent.” Across the country, prominent progressive candidates are embracing proposals that include dramatically reducing or eliminating prisons and advocating sweeping changes to America’s system of government. We’ll examine what they’re saying, what they mean, and what it could mean for the future of the country.”
These “Democratic Proposals” are vacuous. Because the Democrats can’t actually do them. “America’s system of government” is defined by its Constitution and Bill of Rights, and hundreds of millions of people happen to still be in favor of that. These things cannot be changed without a Constitutional Amendment that is never going to happen. Like it or not, that Constitution is still the “supreme law of the land.”
Likewise, “eliminating prisons” requires massive changes to the United States Code and to the many pieces of legislation that created it. These things, too, are simply not going to happen. No matter who’s in Congress. Once again, hundreds of millions of people want more and more fair law enforcement, not less.
Therefore, when I see loud-mouthed “proposals” like these, my Suspicious Cat tells me that these are a distraction – but, from what? What’s being stuffed into today’s headlines so that something more urgent does not make the cut?
one fundamental problem presented to us, as the empire collapses, is the lack of tying cause and effect together appropriately. i totally agree that most people do NOT want prisons closed and criminals walking the streets with less LEO.
but thats different than saying they know how to “vote” (to the degree that matters in a former republic that has long ago broken the social contract) to ensure that. if an org like the DSA supports those absurd policies but also free stuff… a lot of people will take the free stuff and then keep complaining about the crime and blame all the wrong people as it ramps up.
its how you get places like California.
Yeah, they have ‘voted’ enough Soros DAs and installed enough Obama/Biden judges that they are making significant progress in overturning all the laws and Constitution in regards to the protections the people want.

Melissa Esperanza Ramirez, the 27-year-old charged with driving drunk and crashing into off-duty Bridgeport Police Officer Cooper Whiteside and his girlfriend Brittany Islami on July 13, had her bond lowered from $500,000 to $300,000 by Democrat-appointed Judge Seán McGuinness. The reason cited was that “she has deep ties to the community.”

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
