I pray daily for President Trump to drastically revamp the U.S. healthcare system. 5 Trillion dollars being raped and pillages by increasing layers of parasites:
Stealing health care and health care dollars from U.S citizens. The “patient” has been reduced to a billing opportunity
Stealing time and resources from providers and provider organizations
Physicians and “providers” are being turned into signature slaves. No matter the care, sign for the cash to flow.
We are left to our own conscience and impeded by obstacles to actually get adequate care to patients
We are left with very little time and opportunity to actually treat patients and each other as human beings.
There is a growing moral dissonance among those in health care who are actually trying to care for patients.
As midterms approach I become more anxious.
The waste, fraud, abuse, and racketeering of patients, health care workers, and our health care dollars is criminal

Unfortunately Trump’s efforts to undo that monstrosity was defeated by Senate monstrosities who would rather hurt Trump than help America. I doubt he will try again.
There have been years and years of efforts to stop and catch fraud. Of course, those efforts always made life harder for honest doctors and patients.
But it is like the evil ones studied that and rushed in changes that enabled fraud. Sold protection to the fraudsters for political donations and activism. And protected them by punishing whistleblowers and refusing to prosecute.
And the key was handing money to the states to distribute. Federalism. State power. Avoiding scrutiny.
It is a pretty good rule of thumb that if political policy is crafted to sell to conservatives, that it is a deception and that socialists are going to use it to hurt the people and blame capitalism.

About 30 years ago I was working with a physician who had just been enrolled as a “provider” for an HMO.
I can remember him saying at the time that it was the beginning of the long slippery slide into where we are now.
He wondered if his MD license would forever be blurred into some ephemorous provider license. That, of course, has happened and so much more as you have so eloquently described.
Our granddaughter is in her last year of residency. We are, of course, very proud of her achievement, but it is almost bittersweet considering the conditions and challenges she (and we) will face.
Sometimes I think our medical industrial complex has become almost a Potemkin village. 😔
I sold health insurance at that time. The writing was on the wall what would happen down the road.
I have not found many people that understand the government influence in our healthcare.
Requiring hospitals to treat people regardless of whether or not they had healthcare, and then HMOs.

The test case for having to treat everyone no matter their ability – or willingness – to pay began with the Copper Queen Hospital in Bisbee, AZ. It is almost directly on the border. Naturally, they soon went broke.
Now paying patients with serious problems wait hours, sometimes days literally, behind people with a sore throat who have literally never even seen a medical bill.
Your insurance limits your choice of “provider” and facility.
Not mine, because I keep standard Medicare and pay through the nose for Part B and Part D – and still have co-pays and deductibles. My choice, so that I can hopefully Have some choice.
We have been actively destroying a very successful Healthcare system until it has become a shell of itself. 😔

Sepp, You asked a question a little while ago. I still don’t have the answer, but there is more to the story rolling around in my head.
Spurgeon was a British Baptist Preacher. There seem to be many labels for his type of Baptist. Particular Baptist, Reformed Baptist, Calvinistic Baptist. And he was involved in further splitting Baptist in England.
Here in America, he is revered by many Baptists and others. Reformed Baptist, Southern Baptist, even some Presbyterians and the Calvinistic Churches.
I had a college roommate that was a Fundamentalist Baptist. So many different Baptists. Not wanting to fall into heresy he asked his hometown church which church to attend in college. I guess any old Baptist Church, or any old Fundamentalist Baptist Church would lead him to heresy. Put differently, everybody else was wrong and going to hell.
Speaking of everybody being wrong and going to hell, have you ever seen those little comic books that attack religions and try to convert to Christ? That roommate showed me his catalogue to order those comics. Every, and I do mean EVERY religious sect was listed in that catalogue except his. Not just Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses but Catholics, all versions of Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans, pages and pages and pages of attack fodder. Even other Baptists.
I often wonder at the extreme narrowness of the customer base. But then I have seen those things distributed by others. And wondered if other churches get catalogues that have a different church absent and Fundamentalist Baptists added. Somebody here once shared a link to them, so the resource is now available to all.
The ICR faces the same dilemma. If they attach themselves to one sect, they greatly reduce their ability to draw in donations. But there will be a core of churches that forms the core of the donor base. So they probably don’t do so in an open fashion, though there may be a little network of people that share the resources through an indirectly affiliated church. To support the founder, his two sons, and all the Creation Research they need a very broad and committed donation base.
Another way to go about this is the goal. Creationism is very strongly affiliated with fundamentalism But that also is too broad. Many churches have fundamentalist branches. And the organization is now in the Dallas Ft. Worth area.

So, the family was likely Baptist. The organization was not likely affiliated, but it is likely the core support is Baptist and reaching out to other groups with emphasis on creationism and Bible literalism.

COMMENTARY FOR 1 SAMUEL 2:2
Hannah’s song of thanksgiving. (1-10) The wickedness of Eli’s sons, Samuel’s ministry. (11-26) The prophecy against Eli’s family. (27-36)
1-10 Hannah’s heart rejoiced, not in Samuel, but in the Lord. She looks beyond the gift, and praises the Giver. She rejoiced in the salvation of the Lord, and in expectation of His coming, who is the whole salvation of his people. The strong are soon weakened, and the weak are soon strengthened, when God pleases. Are we poor? God made us poor, which is a good reason why we should be content, and make up our minds to our condition. Are we rich? God made us rich, which is a good reason why we should be thankful, and serve him cheerfully, and do good with the abundance he gives us. He respects not man’s wisdom or fancied excellences, but chooses those whom the world accounts foolish, teaching them to feel their guilt, and to value his free and precious salvation. This prophecy looks to the kingdom of Christ, that kingdom of grace, of which Hannah speaks, after having spoken largely of the kingdom of providence. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

I had back surgery in 2010 to remove disc material at L4/L5 which at the time was causing extreme pain… after the surgery,. I still had pain. Was told by a physiatrist that I had severe SI Joint dysfunction and offered me a shot.
I only took the pain meds prescribed during recovery from surgery, I did physical therapy… and resigned myself to a life of constant pain. Handfuls of advil helped sometimes….
Fast forward… in 2020 I started Relief Factor, and it helped a little. I have been taking it every day since – the pain was now manageable (albeit still very limiting).
HOWEVER, I have recently discovered a new “cure”. Vital Proteins with peptides! I started taking it three weeks ago and OMG, NO PAIN after the first week and a half! I stopped the relief factor and will keep on with the VP to see if the trend continues.
I cannot tell you how happy I am right now… for the first time in 16 years, I have NO PAIN!!! NONE! Not even my hips are hurting any more.
Just wanted to share in case anyone else is having issues with back/joint pain.

It is a powder – you can get a non-flavored (which I get) and you put 2 table spoons into your morning coffee, or other beverage… no taste, residue or other nastiness.
I stopped taking the Relief Factor 3 days ago.

This video is from a conservative (I think) seminary professor who is a prolific youtube producer. Although he comes from a religious tradition that is quite different from my own in many ways, I have utmost respect for his work.
I said “I think” he is conservative because the guy is so unbiased in his presentation that it is hard to tell what his own opinions are. This is not due to a lack of opinion or conviction, but rather to the discipline he uses in presenting information that is both concentrated and free of bias for this medium.
This particular video centers on how slippery the generic terms like evangelical and mainline are, with supporting statistics.
He has a lot of videos on what different denominations believe and about how they have merged and split. He always takes care to cite material from authoritative sources in the denominations when he does this. When I read his stuff about my own tradition and specific denomination, I only found one little thing to quibble with, and that was so subtle that most people would say, “Well, so what?”

Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.

Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
