Israel Update:
Shalom, things are going on, so I feel I should post an update. I have some news that I bet are not available in Western media. I will put some of the key things at the end, so try to be patient. This is an important update.
I am not sure if you’ve paid attention, but the MOU (deal) is falling apart. Not because of Israel, who has been wisely very quiet, but because it was badly drafted by VP Vance, and I will explain.
Today there was a massive attack on U.S. bases, especially in Jordan, that killed at least 2 Americans, and one is missing at this time, with at least 4 injured. The numbers may change; it is still early news. We in Israel knew that it was coming, and even worse, so it is no surprise.

Understanding the mind of the enemy:
We learned many lessons over the decades as to how to deal with our Jihadi neighbors. The biggest lesson was on 10/7. Unfortunately, the U.S. did not learn those same lessons and is making some mistakes that lead to predictable outcomes.
“Jihadist” a person who is dedicated to the spread of Islam by conquest. There is a “quiet Jihad” by migration and using legal means, and there is militant Jihad.
The Jihadists are indoctrinated from childhood and do not respond to the same logic as the West. Death in a war or a terror attack is an honor and a gate to heaven.
Lessons:
~Their ultimate goal is not changed by appeasement, concessions, deals, wealth, ceasefires, or exposure to Western culture. They want Islam to spread by all means and Sharia law. Any land conquered by Islam is forever Islamic. They claim it, like claiming Israel, for example.
~The error of letting Gazans come to work in Israel and also receive money from Qatar was a grave error that led to 10/7. The concept that a good economy will make them less radical is an error.
~Concessions and a willingness to use reason without force are looked at as weakness and opportunity.
~Honor is a primary virtue. You see people who lost homes and family and refuse to change and seek peace. Revenge is an even stronger virtue.
~Separating the nation from the regime. In the Second World War, the Allies fought Germany, not the S.S., not the Nazis; the war was against Germany. Separating them is a Liberal Progressive value that brings about a loss of wars. Israel did not learn this lesson too. Yes, it means more civilian casualties, but the Germans chose Hitler and the Nazis. Hamas chose Hamas and the Islamic Jihad. Japan chose the Imperial evil regime in WWII. And yes, while Iran has a high percentage of anti-regime people (an unknown percentage), if you have to bomb the energy or water infrastructure in order to win, then do it. You can’t win with tweezers.
~To win against Jihadists requires an all-out attack until they are fully crushed. This was done against ISIS. All formulas are stupid and make them stronger. A formula of “Quiet will be answered with quiet,” “You killed two of us, so we will kill 10 of yours,” “We will give you land for peace,” or “Money for peace.” Those all delay the problem and make them stronger and more ready for another round.
~They understand the weaknesses of the West very well and exploit them. You will be surprised how well Iran understands American politics, the midterms, and political limitations. They are likely to try to influence the midterms. Revenge is a key value.
~The only real pain is the loss of land. The only true fear is an existential threat to the regime.
The U.S. made some errors, and the consequences are showing up:
~The idea of “moderate regime people” is false. Nobody in the regime is “moderate.” They all consider the U.S. the Big Satan. They all want revenge for Soleimani and Khamenei. They all want Jerusalem and a Muslim world. Some are more radical than others, but there are no moderates. In their eyes, they are on the path of God, and you are on the path of Satan.
In my opinion, VP Vance and Witkoff misled Trump and persuaded him that they are dealing with peace-seeking people—“reasonable” people, people whose primary goal is wealth for their people.
My recent analysis brought me to the conclusion that U.S. intelligence is political. I can’t explain how they don’t tell Trump things that are so obvious to us in Israel. I am not a super genius. Everything that I mentioned is viewed this way by a majority of Israelis. The CIA and intelligence agencies either know what I am saying and are not sharing it, or they are too political to see what is obvious. This happened to our own intelligence community before 10/7.
~VP Vance’s MOU violates everything that I mentioned above:
•Lifting sanctions in exchange for a ceasefire, basically making them richer and stronger eventually.
•Giving money and privileges in exchange for some nuclear inspections in the future.
•Including Lebanon in the ceasefire, placing Israel in opposition to the U.S., as we can’t live with Hezbollah on our borders.
•Leaving a clause that “Iran and Oman will organize the passage of the Strait of Hormuz,” making them think that they can charge tolls or “service fees.”
The result is that Iran now views itself as the winner of the war. Many in the Middle East see it the same way—they “withstood American might and made America back off.”
They are now fighting for the tolls.
They are now talking about killing Trump more strongly than ever, and in some areas, like Iraq, they are putting together a price on his head. This is not only about Khamenei, but they also seek revenge for Soleimani. It was some 6 years ago, and they do not forget. There is no peace with the killers of their “holy Supreme Leader.”
Trump issued a kind of will that included a thousand bombs on Iran if he gets murdered. For Iran, this is not even a deterrent; it is encouragement. A thousand bombs mean nothing to them. They just murdered 50,000 of their own, or a number like that. They just decided to place students and children by military bases to protect the bases. In the Iran-Iraq War, they sent children to blow up mines.
~The way Vance is accusing Israel for his failure with Iran is the greatest risk to Trump’s life. They know now that if they kill Trump, they will have Vance, and this would be a defeat for Israel. A couple of weeks ago, the Mossad sent intelligence about a potential attempt on Trump. It was the day his security decided to change Air Force One in the middle of a trip. This report was confirmed by the U.S. Ambassador to Israel.
~And remember that Qatar is also Jihad. “Quiet Jihad” means the spread and conquest of Islam through money, PR, politics, immigration, etc. You wonder why your leading universities produce Hamas supporters? Ask yourself why Qatar invested hundreds of billions in U.S. universities. I said hundreds of billions. Seriously.
~The U.S. got into the equation of “Quiet for quiet.” “A missile from you, and you get ten from us.”
We in Israel learned that lesson long ago. It is only a matter of time until Americans get killed, and then the U.S. will seek revenge (note that I wrote this a couple of hours before I knew there were American casualties). So you will kill 20 of theirs for 2 of yours. They don’t care. By killing two of yours, they gained honor. Remember that honor is a primary virtue. They are Shia. They consider Sunnis inferior and are delighted to bomb the Gulf states, cause an energy crisis, and threaten the midterm elections.
~Netanyahu is about to visit the White House next week. There is a struggle. Vance and his side will try to turn Trump against Netanyahu. Netanyahu will go over the above concepts in long or short form.
Trump managed to have about 800 out of more than 1,000 ships pass through the Strait. He stopped a serious international oil crisis and is now able to take more aggressive steps.
As I said before, this war is spiritual. Who will win? Those who seek just results? Those who seek a free Iran? Those who seek to see Israel free of its biblical archenemy, Iran, and its proxies? Those who produce science and advance mankind?
Or maybe the other side, who pretend that “America First” means “money motivation”? Those who promote antisemitism in the world (Qatar, etc.)? Those who seek an Islamic world (Qatar, Turkey, Hamas, Hezbollah)? Those who blame Israel or the Jews for their problems? Or those who spread conspiracy theories against Israel and the Jews like Vance just did?
It takes high spirit to stand against the evil forces that are in action at the moment, or at any moment.
What’s at stake is not only the future of Israel or the price of oil. What is at stake is the moral compass of the U.S. Most greatest empires died after their moral compass became corrupted. See the gladiators and promiscuity of Rome The greed of the British Empire who was once the largest in history. The corruption and promiscuity of Babylon, the arrogance and disconnect of the French, to name a few.
And I didn’t even get into the Almighty and what is expected, and the rewards and penalties involved.
An important P.S.:
~A Hezbollah terror ring attempted to kill Netanyahu’s son in Miami. His name is Yair, and he lived there in a tall building. The terrorists were apparently already positioned a floor below and Israeli intelligence intercepted it. It was after Khamenei was assassinated.
~Israel apparently had a major breakthrough and solved a major problem of modern warfare: swarms of drones.
If you followed the war between Ukraine and Russia, you see the Russians are losing an insane number of soldiers and are not winning the war for two reasons: drones and anti-tank missiles.
We have already resolved the anti-tank missile problem to a good degree. An active defense system on tanks and armored vehicles detects and intercepts incoming missiles. It has over a 90% success rate, and the main way to bypass it is to get very close to the vehicle. Israel has already provided it to the U.S. Marine Corps. So anyone wondering what Israel gives the U.S.—how about military strategic advantage over any enemy and potential enemy?

~There is a massive buildup of U.S. power in the region. Israel is accepting dozens of American refueling airplanes. There is a report of rare radio silence among U.S. airplanes. Trump is expected to respond to the deaths of the Americans. No one can tell how, but Dan Scavino, who is very close to Trump, has posted B-2 bombers with F-22 escorts. The last time he posted something like that, it was the real deal. The U.S. may go after the nuclear sites again to bury them even more, or it may target gas facilities, power infrastructure, or the oil island.
~For some weeks now, the Iranians have avoided attacking Israel. Netanyahu has been talking about a response beyond anything seen so far. They are being careful so far, but we are ready.
~The US is publishing a wide international travel alert to all its citizens. Note that the Supreme Leader of Iran insinuated on an international campaign against the US already almost a week ago. I noticed it.

He was not a combat soldier. He served in the IDFs Spokesman Office.

He is heavily criticized in Israel for living in the US, specially in a time of war.
He appears in the US in various media interviews and is doing a good job representing Israel when this is the subject.

As an aside, The Japanese people were sheep led to war. Commodore Perry busted in their self imposed isolation with Gun Boat diplomacy. There was a Shogun in charge and people loyal to the Emperor had a civil war. Somehow the sides switched causes, the Shogun lost, and the emperor died with the new Emperor opening up the country to foreigners. This takes over a decade to come to pass and starts out the MEIJI restoration. (Restoration of Imperial rule.)
The global game at the time was empire. And who better to rule empire in Asia than the Emperor of Japan? So they started out industrializing their feudal society. Lifting peasants into workers. They also ended the Samurai. But used the Samurai ethos to transform the peasants. They built an education system, ex Samurai welcome. They built a modern military, ex Samurai welcome. But having got rid of their equivalent of feudal night, the kept all the aristocracy. And they cobbled together a ‘political system’ that looked like democracy, but had an Emperor, aristocracy, and other ‘powerful’ people under only loose Democratic control.
But too much of the old ways still reigned. The invasions of Manchuria, China, and even Russian Mongolia were basically mutinies orchestrated via imperial Army planners but conducted without any official approval. And used in combination with assassinations, etc, to empower TOJO (October 1941). Sort of the next Shogun.
But from the start, shortly after Perry, the goal was to rule an empire of Asia and the Pacific. And everything done under multiple emperors and multiple governments was to obtain that Empire. So Tojo’s 1940 Co-Prosperity Sphere, was a realization of long term goals, not simply an idiotic imposition. It was though a turning point where they stopped trying to avoid war with America and started seeking war out. (See Indochina 1940 VS 1941)
The planning of Pearl Harbor started in November 1940. The Brits invented a way to use aerial torpedoes in shallow harbors and sank/damaged Italian battleships in Taranto harbor. Yamamoto immediately ordered crash research to achieve the same thing. He also started planning and lobbying and practicing. Gradually he won over the services and the government to his top secret plans. Eventually everything lined up, Tojo got his war, Japan got it’s empire, and then it all fell apart.
I say this because the people just followed. Yes, they cheered it on. Yes, they carried out the evil. But in many ways, they were just the business end of a massive population control effort to enable goals set shortly after our Civil War.
Anyways, Gabbard did a good job defanging the CIA coup organizations. But Ratcliffe doesn’t openly fix anything and nobody has cleaned up the DOJ or FBI. The Senate is still trying to keep IC control from Trump. So it is no wonder that Trump can hardly trust anything. Vance does have strong billionaire backers. His idiocies nay be more traceable. But that also makes him a good target for the IC to undermine.
In short, America is an ugly mess right now. Despite all that, Trump keeps the scrum moving in the right direction. It is still a bloody scrum though.

I can only mention opinions. Trump has a long background since The Apprentice and probably before of testing people and firing them when needed. In the past few months he relayed optimism and “Iran wants peace” statements that came from the negotiators (Vance and Witkoff). Since the MOU is blowing up it is up to him to realize it. Netanyahu is about to visit and I assume some of my views which are not only mine, will be mentioned.

My most memorable flight was on Wein. I was on a flight from Kodiak to Anchorage to connect to a Western flight to Seattle Tacoma.
A snowy cold morning in Kodiak as we boarded. The single runway pointed out towards the sea. We took off quickly and as we sped down the runway we could feel the plane sliding back and forth. Finally we lifted off and a few minutes later the Captain came on the intercom with this message.

I would direct your attention to the last verse above, Matthew 13:58: “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” There is nobody in the world who has any judgment, any good sense, who wants to tell of his or her failures. No matter haw apathetic we may be, such a course is always discouraging, disappointing, disheartening. It is good for us to know, however, that there were times in the life of our blessed Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST when even He apparently failed. Perhaps it is because misery loves company, but I personally have failed so many times in my own life that I like to read about the times in the life and experience of our Master when He too seemed to be tossing His words against stone walls as far as results were concerned. Of course you must remember that it all depends on what you mean by failure, and also what you mean by success. You know it is sometimes claimed that the Gospel was intended to straighten out the world, that the Gospel was intended to stop wars, that the Gospel was intended to solve social questions, that the Gospel was sent into the world to help the capitalist get right with the laboring man and the laboring man with the capitalist. If that is the purpose of the Gospel, then I say to you as unqualifiedly as the beat of my heart that the Gospel has been an almost total failure. On the other hand, if you take from the Word of GOD that the Gospel was intended to call out a people for the Lord, then, bless the Lord, it certainly has been a great success. There have been millions upon untold millions who have come to claim the Lord JESUS CHRIST in the pardon of their sins.
