The best way through this is to define viewpoints, not people, because people will shift as they change position and velocity in Trump gravity.
Bash the neocon, warmonger, and dopey globalist positions – not the people who are going to hold them one moment and come loose from them later.
Trump is Jupiter moving through the asteroid belt. He is going to pull people into his orbit.
A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.
I am ON the Trump Train for good, even if I scream that I want off and can’t take it. In the end, I only want to scream “TOO MUCH WINNING!!!”

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
Day 176 of the 2nd year of the 2nd term of this very stable genius. History is being made in the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2026.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He continues to make massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This second term, he is weeding them out faster and choosing like-minded servants who multiply his effectiveness. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common. He does not show humility before men, but his actions show humility before God.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore. He is not afraid to call out our enemies.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and to the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the same healthy distrust held by our founders of government and men with too much power. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours. He believes that nations who treat their people well will also be good economic neighbors with us.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum. Lord please bring your power and might in the daily working of this sacred Nation you gave us.

Just talked about this with hubby. Why is so little known about Butler, PA. The cover-up was/is huge. If the people who were/might have been behind the assassination attempt came from within, how do we know they are not still operating within? We don’t. Is anyone here following the storyline, shall we say, on the Scott Jennings conversation with Mitch McConnell last week (Tuesday, July 7th) wherein Mr. Jenning said that he spoke with the Senator. Then with the news yesterday of the photo of the Senator and his wife, Mr. Jennings said “I’m vindicated” as apparently his news of the phone conversation had been met with skepticism.
CNN disavowed Mr. Jennings reportage as to having an actual phone call with the Senator . . . but CNN has Mr. Jennings on one of their shows as a panelist so what’s up with that?
I mean, is he or is he not in the capacity of representing a viewpoint as a CNN panelist and what is the point of being on a CNN show if they do not give him any credence?
I personally do not understand how Mr. Jennings could have a conversation with the Senator because it seems more probable now than it ever did that the Senator is very much incommunicado . . . but does Mr. Jennings BELIEVE that he actually DID speak with the Senator?
CNN should fish or cut bait – either you support the credibility of one of your contributors/on-air personalities or you do not – you don’t just let him hang out there.
Mr. Jennings should – IMHO – tell CNN that this should be the night we called it a day – use Bob Dylan’s rendition.

So, since the 2024 Kentucky law, (HB 622), there can not be any appointment. If there’s time (prior to Aug 3), a special election must be called to fill the seat for the remainder of the term.
If after August 3rd, the seat cannot be be filled, and must remain vacant until the winner of the Nov election is seated in January of 2027.
I am not sure if that is really an advantage. I will have to re-read Sundance’s article from yesterday. I have read some conjecture that Gov. Beshear was going to challenge the law and try to appoint a replacement anyway.
Perhaps that is the issue, but it seems odd that Beshear would ignore part of the law, but not attempt an appointment as of August 3rd.

About 14 yrs ago my brothers wife had a massive stroke.
Shortly after being hospitalized on life support she was declared ‘brain dead’.
The organ harvesting nagging began.
My brother refused.
Several EEGs and claims of her brain death later, he still refused.
To avoid the nagging from hospital officials and his adult children, my brother went home.
10 days later my sil woke up.
My sister was with her. The drs refused to believe, with their own eyes, she was awake and lucid!
She could not speak but understood everything being said.
The drs continued to play it off as some ‘normal’ brain death reaction!
She recovered, regained speach and mobility and lived several more years.
This was at a ‘teaching hospital’.
I wonder how often this happens.

The human body is designed to heal itself. While not perfect, sometimes its best to back off andclet nature manage things.
I was told by Drs that my 87 yo mother would pass within a few days. She had severe pneumonia complicated by chronic COPD. I put her in hospice and removed all medications except supplemental oxygen to keep her comfortable.
Pneumonia cleared, she was disoriented and confused for several months, but 5 months after first being admitted to hospice the was released to general assisted living, completely lucid and able to care for herself with some help.
She lived 2 years after that.
Two years you and she would have missed.
What a blessing!

Medical profession is an oxymoron these days. Neither truly medical nor a profession. When a doctor, an MD, is no longer called a doctor, but a “provider” and patients are not called patients, but “clients” what does one expect?

Organ donation has become a corporate business. Nurses are no longer allowed to talk to families, about it unless encouraging. The organ donation people have someone assigned to the case (and there are guidelines for contacting them, that must be followed for an impending death, an audit form box to check) and they make the family contact.
Insurance companies don’t want to pay for ICU care to keep a donor alive.
Neither does the hospital. Grant money to the organ procurement companies pay the bills.

Just a note about fuel prices.
The company I work for has several satellite locations in SE Asia, Philipines, Australia, and New Zealand. We just finished up out quarterly reviews for those locations and the consistent comment was that fuel prices had returned to pre-Iran conflict prices. I think that is good news as to me this means the flow of oil from the Hormuz area has returned to an expected (I hate saying normal!) rate. This is the kind of news we will never hear from the US media. The upbeat comments from our overseas people was refreshing, as most are not known as avid Trump supporters. In fact one British ex-pat who is widely known to be an old sourpuss about Americans in general (even tho he likes spending the paycheck we give him), grudgingly admitted he sees the results with bringing Iran to heel as a positive outcome.
My kicker question however is this: Why has pricing in the USA not returned uniformly to the pre-Feb pricing? In my home town it is still 30% higher than in Feb. That includes taking tax hikes into account.
Just filled the tank in PA yesterday and we are still at $4.19 a gallon.

I’ve had lawyers leave my firm over it. I’ve had clients cut me off be say well we can’t keep you as a lawyer because we don’t agree with you so defending Trump so publicly.
So uh about six months ago in January I was up in DC met with some high-ranking officials in the Treasury Department State Department justice department intelligence community a lot of us you know long-standing loyalist who expected Trump to keep his promises from 2024 including Vice President Vance’s staff and other people. And the consistent story I started receiving was twofold. One was that Trump was cashing in on the
White House in ways nobody had ever imagined. And this was a really bad problem in the Justice Department. And
I’d heard rumors and ruminations of it. But when they started detailing the scale and scope of it, I was like, “Holy moly.” They basically looked at Hunter Biden and Joe Biden and said, “Man, you guys were just street level corner dealers. I’m going to show you how to run a cartel in terms of monetizing access and power.” And that was one problematic concern.
But even more problematic, uh, I always say I don’t mind people dumb people or corrupt people, but you put them together and you got a bad problem for governance. The was a lot of high-ranking people that had been around the president for a decade plus were saying his behavior has changed. It’s like he always loved sycophants, but also loved counterbalanced it with killers as he called them. The uh it was the old order of the deal. Hope for the best uh but plan for the worst. It was, you know, positive thinking. Norman Vincent Peele style in the churches he grew up in, but tethered to hardcore objective realism.
So he used to say about the Middle East, it’s only blood and sand and all you do is give up blood to get a little sand. And he said that that version of Trump was gone. That it was just positive thinking. He didn’t want to hear criticisms. He didn’t want to hear second opinions. He used to love second opinions. In fact, it drove me crazy how many second opinions he wanted to hear during the 2020 election. It’s like, “Let me get second opinion number 55.”
Interviewer: And just for the audience you know this because you represented him or you were involved in cases as his lawyer or part of his legal team.
Robert Barnes: I was his defense lawyer in the 2020 election in Georgia and then across all the elections for a substantial time period.

Then, the system flagged Feder’s Range Rover, which had a plate number of 34 10 DTM.
In other words, Flock’s surveillance system ignored the two middle numbers.
After the officers relaxed, Feder “connected the final dot.”
“A lot of vehicles in JLR’s media fleet have a New Jersey manufacturer plate with the same alphanumeric structure — 34 ## DTM,” Feder wrote, which meant that “[a]nywhere a police department has a partnership with Flock, any other JLR-owned car with the same plate structure is going to get flagged as stolen.” …
Feder’s harrowing experience hardly qualifies as isolated.
For instance, according to the Denverite, in September, an officer from the Columbine Valley Police Department in Denver, Colorado, visited the home of financial planner Chrisanna Elser. The officer issued her a summons for petty theft and accused her of stealing a $25 package from a porch in nearby Bow Mar, not because Flock cameras had captured her vehicle plates at the scene of the alleged crime, but because those cameras captured her vehicle entering and then leaving the town around the time someone stole the package.
The officer also erroneously claimed to have Ring doorbell camera footage of Elser swiping the package.
The fact that she did so successfully and that the police department eventually voided the summons, however, does not diminish the broader crime against civil liberties.
“She’s considering suing,” the outlet wrote. “And even with the ticket dropped, she’s left unnerved by the prospect of being wrongfully accused on the basis of circumstantial evidence from a mass surveillance system.”” …….

Did Flock call the cops, or do the cops have warrantless access to the Flock records, or did the cops have a warrant to access Flock data? If the first, then there is a lawsuit against Flock. If the second, then there are clear 4th amendment violations. If the last, then while extremely distasteful it just might be legal.

The battle for Hormuz has ramped up after the United States has undertaken three consecutive nights of major bombing raids against Iranian targets.
All the while President Trump is said to be “very serious” about his plan to impose a 20% toll on cargo transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, a Semafor report says, citing a White House official who says the president has desired such a plan for months. Both warring sides are insisting that it is their side alone which will be ‘guardian’ over the strait.
Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi took some jabs at the proposed US plan soon after Trump unveiled it on Truth Social.
“POTUS is absolutely right. Whoever provides secure and safe passage of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz should be compensated for this service,” Araghchi wrote on X. “20% is of course too much. We will be fair,” he added.

The bottom line is that the idea that the “Strait of Hormuz is open” nonsense is, well, nonsense. I’ve been watching the Marinetraffic page since that was announced and all you need to see as to what a “normal” circumstance looks like is found around the Gulf of Aden, where traffic is normal and is not very far away. You’ll note quite a difference between those two in terms of ships that are at terminals loading, unloading — and transiting the strait.
In addition the funerary procession for their assassinated leader (who, I remind you, we assassinated as our opening act in this war) threw in the trash instantly the idea that the Iranian people have “no support” for their current government. You can generate all the optics you’d like but an awfully-large number of Iranians showed up for that procession and thus the idea that they all want to engage in a revolutionary overthrow and just needed a little push to do it has been quite-demonstrably proved false — as anyone who paid attention to anything over there has known for years.
This is a conflict we cannot win. The people there do not want to overthrow their government and replace it with a “western” one in sufficient numbers; there are far too many who support the existing structure. The only way to “conquer” such a nation is directly, with boots on the ground, and we would have to kill all those who oppose same or you wind up with a permanent state of guerilla warfare. America has no good way to get that many people there, we lack the material to do it in the current time and our nation will not tolerate the tens of thousands of American troops who will come back in a box or bag if it was attempted. These are not goat-screwing savages; these are Persians as I’ve repeatedly noted and they’re both not stupid and have a history of our nation screwing with them going back to the 1950s, thus they were ready for this and are not going to simply lay down and surrender. They never were going to and they certainly will not do so now.
We lack both the capacity and resolve to go slaughter them all (never mind a legitimate reason to do so in the first place.)
So the folly continues for now, and yes that is exactly what it is. There are no good choices; the best one was to refuse to get involved in the first place, but that ship has sailed.
The next-up question, which the rate cycle turn will eventually force although I cannot put a date on it, is whether we will appropriately assign the responsibility and assess both fault and consequences for the pressure to engage in this nonsense where it belongs — both internally in our Government and externally. The option to simply try to paper over it with more emitted credit, due to said rate cycle turning, no longer exists.

I trust the experts in command of our armed forces. As well as the expert soldiers, sailors, and airmen. And the intelligence officers. I know they have the capability to do what must be done.

Exactly the same types who haven’t changed since the “don’t make waves” and “you don’t get promoted if you present a contrarian view” who promoted our great progress in Afghanistan where we spent two thousand billion dollars ($2 trillion) and thousands of US lives changing the Taliban in charge to the Taliban in charge with the icing on top being an absolutely humiliating withdrawal.
I tend to give far more weight to whistleblowers, although I still don’t accept what they say without backup data, like this guy who publicly blew the whistle on the farcical reports of progress in Afghanistan in 2013 while he was still in the Army serving there.

Col. Daniel Davis:
My job required me as the Rapid Equipping Force chief to literally go to every brigade all the way down to the troop level up to the commander level and everything in between to find out what they needed, how the whatever was going on site. So I got to go and talk to them. Well, I went to many of the, I noticed it mostly at the battalion level, but definitely company and below these guys were just like what you’re talking about.
They were they were sharp, they were focused, they were well-trained, and they were motivated, and they were professional, and they were getting the job done, but they were intensely frustrated because they didn’t have answers to the question, what are we here for? What is the objective? What are we trying to accomplish? And too many times the leadership would tell them well we’re here to perform these tactical tasks. They think okay well we can do that. We can definitely do that just like you said in the current [Iran] fight right now. We can execute that, but towards what end? What are we trying to accomplish?
Uh oh well we’re trying to make the people reject the Taliban and want to go with their government. And they’re like well they’re not going to. They know that we’re here on a 12-month deployment just like we know that. And all the Taliban is going to do is wait us out and the people here know that. They know it intensely. The Taliban were telling them if you go with the government and go against them, the minute that these guys leave, we’re coming right back in and we’ve taken names and we’re going to remember. And so he said the people aren’t going to do that. And we would tell that up to the chain of command and they’d say do these tactical tasks and then we’re going to leave and then we’re going to hand it off to the next guy until finally we’re not going to hand it off to anybody.
And exactly what they worried about is exactly what happened. And the pain that caused this particular unit I’m thinking of here in the Arghandab Valley was he said look we’ve already lost, I forget what the number was, like seven or eight killed in action up to that point one of which was one of the company first sergeants and the company commander just pulled me aside, you know, he didn’t want anybody else to hear and he just was agonizing. He said, “How am I going to go and tell his wife when we get back that he died for the country, that he died for a greater purpose?” He goes, “I’m probably going to end up telling her something that, you know, to assuage her.” But he said, “But my conscience, I know it’s not true. None of these guys died for our country. We died because we’re here doing a mission which tactically can be successful, but it means nothing and the minute that we leave it’s going to be as though we were never there” and his words were absolutely proven to be true and so you got to wonder now and I didn’t keep contact with those guys afterward so I don’t know whether they stayed [in the military] or whether they didn’t, but I could see at the time their anguish about the senior leadership of the of the country.
Meanwhile, that’s at the tactical level, then when I went up to the battalion, brigade and the division levels. Uh it’s like these guys were on another planet because they actually were talking like they are accomplishing something and they were telling people that the generals would go on television and say that they would go in front of the cameras in Senate testimony like David Petraeus which is one of the ones that got me motivated to say something in public because he was telling everybody, “Yeah, we’re succeeding. We’re we got the right azimuth. We finally have the right inputs. The people are turning against the Taliban. We’ve arrested their momentum” and it was all fiction. None of it was true and then we see it on August 21st 2021 the whole thing fell apart and it was a complete disaster.
These guys who go along, who say that kind of stuff, you talk about retention, getting the right people, the guys who said that, who said that it was going good, the two star, three star, four star, they keep going up, brigade commander, division commander, that they got rewarded for that. Meanwhile, the guys who were down there at the company level, who are trying to figure out how they’re going to explain things to the widows of these people who died for nothing, they don’t get promoted.
