Biography: Ignacy Jan Paderewski rose to fame as a concert pianist, noted for his striking looks and great charm. He was also a composer, producing an Opera and a Symphony, popular in their day.

There’s a real “rock and a hard place” going on here. I just had a repair job and got the old “they don’t make ’em like this anymore, you want to keep this” Which means—You want to keep this so that the next time this 20 YO thing breaks you can call me to fix it. I paid $300 to fix a dryer (new motor) whereas anything new is $500 minimum. Like most people I’d like to believe that newer means better, but we all have a friend with a new appliance horror story. IF it wasn’t for my wife’s protestations, I’d still set my underwear out on the deck to dry—they just smell better!!

A couple years ago I decided to move the laundry room into the basement – well, to move the washer and dryer into the basement and out of the laundry room. This accomplished many things: gave the cats more room to enjoy the sunny view away from clean clothes, moved any potential spills down next to the sump pump drain, and kept the vibrations from the spin cycle from reverberating trough the house. BUT there was not a 240v outlet in the basement. My rural repair guy said no problem, he would run a 240v line. However, I found a brand new washer/dryer unit that did it all – wash and dry in the same machine – and ran on 110v. Perfect ! Well, not quite…
2 very strong men with a lot of back braces managed to carefully deliver the thing down my basement steps and get it in place. Much to my horror, there was a nonstop WIFI broadcast unless it was physically unplugged, and it transmitted whenever it ran. I really did not need other people knowing the details about my laundry, but it was too late. Then it started breaking. The warranty people sent out no less than 63 text and email messages per repair visit (AI will never improve efficiency) but it broke again. Last time they said no manpower to honor the warranty, so they refunded my entire sales price, tax, and repair warranty — after 3 years ! I’m replacing it with an old-fashioned unit like the laundromat. .. as soon as I disassemble the beast and haul it out.

COMMENTARY FOR PHILIPPIANS 1:3
The Philippians felt a very deep interest for the apostle. The scope of the epistle is to confirm them in the faith, to encourage them to walk as becomes the gospel of Christ, to caution them against judaizing teachers, and to express gratitude for their Christian bounty. This epistle is the only one, among those written by St. Paul, in which no censures are implied or expressed. Full commendation and confidence are in every part, and the Philippians are addressed with a peculiar affection, which every serious reader will perceive.The apostle offers up thanksgivings and prayers, for the good work of grace in the Philippians. (1-7) He expresses affection, and prays for them. (8-11) Fortifies them against being cast down at his sufferings. (12-20) He stood prepared for glorifying Christ by life, or death. (21-26) Exhortations to zeal, and constancy in professing the gospel. (27-30)
1-7 The highest honour of the most eminent ministers is, to be servants of Christ. And those who are not really saints on earth, never will be saints in heaven. Out of Christ, the best saints are sinners, and unable to stand before God. There is no peace without grace. Inward peace springs from a sense of Divine favour. And there is no grace and peace but from God our Father, the fountain and origin of all blessings. At Philippi the apostle was evil entreated, and saw little fruit of his labour; yet he remembers Philippi with joy. We must thank our God for the graces and comforts, gifts and usefulness of others, as we receive the benefit, and God receives the glory. The work of grace will never be perfected till the day of Jesus Christ, the day of his appearance. But we may always be confident God will perform his good work, in every soul wherein he has really begun it by regeneration; though we must not trust in outward appearances, nor in any thing but a new creation to holiness. People are dear to their ministers, when they receive benefit by their ministry. Fellow-sufferers in the cause of God should be dear one to another.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Your thought process has brought you here
You gave up your authority my sweet dear
I gave you calming music you listen not
You let ‘it’ control you and you got caught
There is no medicine that can cure ‘it’
There is no formula than can detour ‘it’
I gave you the power to stop this attack
I gave you the means to pick up the slack
Exercise, breathing, and thought control
All of these will again make you whole
Emotional turmoil blocks rational thought
Eliminate it and you will be as you ought
Change your attitude change your life
Positive thinking diminishes strife
Movement replaces emotional confusion
All of ‘it’ is actually an illusion
You can take control and beat your distress
By changing your thoughts eliminate stress
By exercising you switch your concentration
Your physical movement serves as activation
Your shiver and shake ceases to be
Your uncertainty dissolves instantly
Your mind directs your body to move
And your anxiety begins to improve
God gave us the ability to heal mind body spirit
We just need to learn how to clear it not fear it
The body does what the mind commands
It moves it rests it contracts it expands
So it is with emotions as well with control
Our thoughts can trigger disconnect or cajole
Our attitude plays a part in this scenario as well
It is where we decide we are going to dwell
Negative thinking brings about negative outcomes
The opposite is true and to what it succumbs
When we take authority of events in life
We eliminate the stress and the strife
Whatever the problem or issue that disturbs you
It is nothing you and God together cannot subdue
When God enters the situation the solution is clear
You will have eyes to see and ears to hear
So Settle Me, Lord as only You can
Help me to see and perfect Your plan
Take away the illusion of ‘it’
Cleanse me from all and every bit
