But, the trick of the matter is that the Iranians are not the enemy. They have been held captive for 47 years. Iran has said it will consider it a violation of the U.S. memorandum of understanding if Israel does not withdraw from all Lebanese territory. However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israeli army will not exit the security zone it established in southern Lebanon.
“It should be noted that this is the first step in responding to the enemy’s breach of its commitments,” Iran’s military command said, according to Iranian state TV. “Should the aggression continue, further measures will be planned and implemented to compel the enemy to abide by its obligations.”

Iran is a country of 90M + people run by Islamist fanatics and they have had abt 50 years to indoctrinate a large % of their population to their fanatical beliefs. How many is that in terms of people, I have no idea.

The Trump strategy isn’t that hard to see. When there is a problem he wants to solve, first he identifies the cause(s), then notes who is responsible for what, and then structures the response to hold the right people accountable. The middle east is a mess. Why? Radical terrorists. First trip after inauguration to Saudi Arabia to tell moderate Arabs to crack down on terrorists. Not a slight against Israel. Instead, it is a move to prevent Israel from continuously being in a reactive posture. After Gaza, establish a Board of Peace. Eliminate Hamas (the word means violence). Then plan how to make Gaza a vacation paradise. Who is most responsible for radical Islamic terrorism? Iran. Take away their nuclear program, destroy their military, cripple their economy so they cannot project power beyond their borders. The closing of the straight was not really a ceasefire, it was a continuation of the war via a siege. That is an old tactic. Read a good example in Josephus where he describes the Roman conquest of Jerusalem. Why should the Romans waste resources and manpower on attacking the fortified wall when they can just sit back and watch five factions in the city kill each other? Then mop up and tear it all down.
The MOU is a diplomatic opportunity for Iran to be held accountable. They know their economic distress, and the latest two day bombing run scared them into begging for relief. Will their survival instincts move them to act rationally? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, they will be held accountable. (Mid-terms are not part of the equation–that hinges on something else.)
Then there is the Hezbollah issue. Whose job is it to remove them from the scene? While Israel can reactively defend itself and respond forcefully, two things have to happen to eliminate the threat. Iran cannot fund them, and Lebanon cannot give them safe haven. That is in the works.
Long term peace in the middle east depends on Arab nations living peacefully with Israel and one another. That is the goal, and short term quick fixes, or US long term policing the situation are not the answer.
Then there is Mexico and the cartel issue. First close the border, then interdict drug running, then designate cartels as terrorist organizations, indict and capture targets, tell Claudia to do her job and offer our assistance. More to follow. Hold those causing the problem accountable. Enlist the entire western hemisphere in the effort.
In the US, fair elections are the issue. Pass the Save Act, or do it the hard way. This will break one way or another in the weeks before the mid-terms. Lots of sunlight is lurking behind the clouds. Many in congress are soiling themselves.
Prayers that the Lord would reveal the corruption during Trump 45/Obama 46 were answered. Prayers that He would bring them down one way or another are also being answered.
Trump and his strategy alone are fallible. Trump as an instrument in the hands of God is something to be feared and lauded.

They also poured corrosive and destructive chemicals into the Pool. The Reflecting Pool was never so beautiful as it was just one week ago, even going back to 1922 when it opened.
