Biography: Benedict Arnold was an American general during the American Revolutionary War who initially fought for the American Continental Army but later defected to the British. His name has become synonymous with the term “traitor” in the United States due to his notorious switch of allegiance.
Arnold’s early military career was notable for its brilliance, particularly during the invasion of Canada and the Battle of Saratoga. He was instrumental in the American victory at the Battle of Saratoga in 1777, a pivotal moment in the war that helped secure foreign aid for the American cause. Arnold’s aggressive tactics and leadership skills played a significant role in defeating the British forces.
However, disagreements and disputes over promotions, combined with mounting financial problems, gradually soured Arnold’s relationship with other American leaders. Yesterday after weed wacking and picking up sticks, my granddaughter and I dug into the 125 cc Chinese made 4 wheeler ATV.
Nikki, my now deceased daughter, and Laura bought it back when they lived near us and stored it here and came and had fun riding it my yard and Steve & Betty’s three acre field behind us.
When the moved to Florida they had nowhere to ride it and it just took up space in their garage. So when Nikki got sick Laura asked us to take back to our place. By then it had sat for 5 years without being started. I rented a small UHaul and brought it here where it has been sitting in my new garage taking up space.
The reason why it has sat without me doing anything to it is because I could not figure out any easy way to get the dead battery out of it. The Chinese put it in a place where it is surrounded by welded or bolted frame members. Looking up how to videos on YouTube for that make and model yielded nothing but showing newer models of that make which had the battery in a different, much more accessible place.
So Corbin and I started working on it and 2 1/2 hours and about a dozen finger busting small machine screws and bolts later we had the old battery out.
While I went and got a new battery Corbin changed the oil since I had everything needed for that in the garage already. After a drive across town to a ATV and motorcycle dealer I had the new battery. The guy at the parts desk went ahead and put the acid in it for me and I took it home and hooked it up to my computerized charger at 2amp rate and left it. I just checked it and unhooked it from the charger. It is fully charged and ready to go.
That was enough for us for the day. We still have to get the new battery in, and put it back together, which will probably take as long if not longer than it did to get it out.
Then we will drain and flush the gas tank which has some old gas with some kind of debris in it.
Hopefully after that some new gas and some Seafoam will get carb cleaned up and it will start.
After we get that ATV running it will be on to working on getting my go cart running. I have the new engine and a new variable speed drive for it. I’m going to strip it down to the frame. Take it to MOFAB and sandblast it. Get it powder coated red. Then we’ll start putting it back together.
It has a custom made seat that Steve made for it that hugs the driver and has high enough sides that it provides lateral stability.
It is not a racing cart though and the engine I have for it will drive it no faster and 35 or 40 mph but that is plenty fast enough to have ball driving it on slick tires on the grass back field.
If Corbin and I need technical help my nephew Mark has the knowledge and experience and I’m sure will help us out.
But the next project has nothing to do with those toys. The Amazon prime days are coming June 23rd through June 26th. I will be purchasing Ring door bell and a security camera and window monitor package when they come on sale. Once installed we will pay the $19 and some odd cents and month monitoring fee and that will lower our homeowners insurance premium by at least $300 per year according to what I have read. Gotta get with our insurance provider in the meantime to get the details and exact amount.
Don’t know if this has changed, but Ring uses your wi-fi and the internet. Cut either and it doesn’t work.
Also stores everything on the web. Must pay subscription to have access to stored video.
After you stop paying, you will still be able to see live video, but usually notifications don’t come in time.
Also, wired my mom’s to her doorbell and never had to charge her battery. Plus it rang the old doorbell.
Mine, have to keep recharging battery. Takes more than half a day.
Sometimes using it to communicate one side or other does not make out what was said.
But it was nice to talk to people at door from work.
With subscription, even the conversations were stored.
No idea if it stores anything without subscription.
Also, sometimes delivery people don’t get detected. Or I get motion warning only as the doorbell is being rung. Yes, sometimes everything is delayed. But I never figured out how it is avoided all together.

COMMENTARY FOR MATTHEW 7:12
Christ reproves rash judgment. (1-6) Encouragements to prayer. (7-11) The broad and narrow way. (12-14) Against false prophets. (15-20) To be doers of the word, not hearers only. (21-29)
12-14 Christ came to teach us, not only what we are to know and believe, but what we are to do; not only toward God, but toward men; not only toward those of our party and persuasion, but toward men in general, all with whom we have to do. We must do that to our neighbour which we ourselves acknowledge to be fit and reasonable. We must, in our dealings with men, suppose ourselves in the same case and circumstances with those we have to do with, and act accordingly. There are but two ways right and wrong, good and evil; the way to heaven and the way to hell; in the one or other of these all are walking: there is no middle place hereafter, no middle way now. All the children of men are saints or sinners, godly or ungodly. See concerning the way of sin and sinners, that the gate is wide, and stands open. You may go in at this gate with all your lusts about you; it gives no check to appetites or passions. It is a broad way; there are many paths in it; there is choice of sinful ways. There is a large company in this way. But what profit is there in being willing to go to hell with others, because they will not go to heaven with us? The way to eternal life is narrow. We are not in heaven as soon as we are got through the strait gate. Self must be denied, the body kept under, and corruptions mortified. Daily temptations must be resisted; duties must be done. We must watch in all things, and walk with care; and we must go through much tribulation. And yet this way should invite us all; it leads to life: to present comfort in the favour of God, which is the life of the soul; to eternal bliss, the hope of which at the end of our way, should make all the difficulties of the road easy to us. This plain declaration of Christ has been disregarded by many who have taken pains to explain it away; but in all ages the real disciple of Christ has been looked on as a singular, unfashionable character; and all that have sided with the greater number, have gone on in the broad road to destruction. If we would serve God, we must be firm in our religion. Can we often hear of the strait gate and the narrow way, and how few there are that find it, without being in pain for ourselves, or considering whether we are entered on the narrow way, and what progress we are making in it?

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Did you know the easiest way to summon Gods company is to witness salvation? “He is faithful” to achieve his word.
The anger the left exhibits is not of themselves it is of demons influence. Point it out when they lose control. Even rebuke it in Jesus name, but allow them to understand that they are being used.
Some will respond positively. Some enjoy it. But once they see it they become responsible for it.

Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Evening Prayer For Future Guidance
Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
Give me patience to wait for Your perfect timing, and may I not trust in my own abilities and scheming, but rather rest in Your love and trust my future into Your hands.
And so now Lord, I commit this night to you, asking that I would rest soundly and wake refreshed and strong to do Your bidding. This I ask in Jesus’ precious name,

Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful nights sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will.
