Iranian negotiators are demanding the immediate release of $12 billion in frozen assets held in Qatar as a precondition for advancing talks with the United States, an informed source with direct knowledge of the negotiations told Iran International.
According to the source, the release of these specific funds in Qatar is a strict precondition for the initial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) stage.
Tehran has insisted that actual, guaranteed access to this $12 billion must be granted during this first phase before any preliminary diplomatic understanding can move forward, the source said.
The source emphasized that this $12 billion represents only the immediate tranche required to initiate the diplomatic roadmap, and is not the only capital Iran is claiming.

My own view is that not a penny of funds should be unfrozen until after all i’s are dotted, t’s are crossed, and enriched nuclear material is no longer in Iran’s possession…and of course, the Strait once again is treated as the international waterway with the full freedom of navigation such a designation includes.
Doesn’t sound like a decision today one way or the other…

Wisconsin Big Cheat Big Trouble
“At about 10:30pm, an announcement was made to the center that we were finished for the night and that all the ballots had been counted … I stayed on after 10:30pm to help bundle up our ballots … Around midnight I … noticed activity and bright lights in another part of the room.
People were still counting ballots from a very late drop of ballots. I was surprised to see this as we were told that the count was done at 10:30pm.
Around 2:30am on November 4, 2020 I went to check out and submit my hours worked and they were still counting ballots in the same lighted area. I asked a fellow worker what was going on and he said there was a late drop of ballots being brought in for count.”
