Two professors of medical ethics at Western Michigan University’s medical school just published a peer-reviewed paper in a major academic journal arguing that it is, quote, “morally obligatory” to release genetically engineered ticks on the American public so that more of us become permanently allergic to beef, pork, and lamb.
The paper is called “Beneficial Bloodsucking.” It was published in the journal Bioethics in 2025. The authors are Parker Crutchfield and Blake Hereth, and they teach the future doctors of America in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Here is what they actually wrote. They call the disease-carrying tick a “moral bioenhancer.” They say we have an obligation to “expose others” to alpha-gal syndrome, the meat allergy spread by the lone star tick.
They say we should “undermine attempts to cure” the allergy. They say AGS is not even a disease, so it does not need a cure.
Their plan is to use CRISPR gene editing to redesign the tick so it can survive in more environments, including cities, possibly by hitching rides on rats.
They cite the gene-edited mosquito programs already operating in other countries as their working model.
Their justification is that eating red meat is morally wrong, and since you will not stop on your own, the credentialed class at a state-affiliated medical school is going to make the decision for you.
They argue this is not a violation of your rights, just a tolerable, quote, “infringement,” same as a vaccine mandate.
Nobody is going to ask you. Nobody is going to put it on a ballot. One of the same authors previously published a paper in the same journal titled “Compulsory Moral Bioenhancement Should Be Covert,” meaning forced biological modification of the population should be kept hidden from the population.

There was a video I ran across recently from another country where a man had sprayed his shoes and pants with tick repellent and recorded a tick ignoring it and coming towards him. As he moved out of its path it turned and kept coming towards him – repeatedly – almost as if it was drawn to it. Couldn’t verify the authenticity of what was used – but it did give pause, especially in light of the various ‘experiments’ that have been conducted by Gates and others – including with mosquitoes and various viruses.
They should be charged and jailed for efforts to harm Americans.

A colleague here of my British husband went to Britain for a short trip. We received a picture of him and a text standing in the field adjacent to our beautiful rural Welsh home. He didn’t tell us he would search it out, but he did.

When I was in high school, there was a restaurant that had been opened by some UK expats that had authentic, real (and fresh) fish and chips (they also had somehow managed to get a double-decker bus they drove around town on occasion). I can taste the delicious combo even now 😉

One of the best Saturdays out for us was getting them in an out of the way place in small, leafy village, on a secluded street, returning to our car, and eating them whilst listening to one of the funniest panel shows ever on BBC Radio 4. Watching normal village life pass by and thinking that it didn’t get better than this…

The decision followed a statement in Peters’ clemency application, obtained by CNN from Polis’ office, in which Peters acknowledged for the first time since her 2024 conviction that she “made a mistake” and “misled” Colorado election officials.
Polis said in an interview Friday that he was cutting Peters’ prison sentence in half, reducing it to 4.5 years. Based on her time already served since 2024 and Colorado’s early release rules, she’ll be released on parole on June 1, Polis said in a letter to Peters obtained by CNN.

If you read the Colorado paper article I linked earlier on the topic, Polis is extremely far from any such admission and in fact doubled down as far as that aspect of it goes. Went as far to say “She is a felon, and deservedly so.”

The billion or so she saw was the funding for the bunker that is to built below the Ballroom. The Ballroom is to be funded 100% with donations. The old bunker is outdated and a new one by law has to be paid with tax dollars.
