Concerning the Indiana Hoosiers football team.
One of the questions that is being asked frequently among the sports talking heads is if they think IU can repeat and win a 2nd National Championship?
Despite being dominated at times by usually the same 5 or 6 top tier teams for many seasons, which Indiana certainly was not until the last two seasons, I would not be surprised at all if they are asking this time next year is: ‘Will Indiana threepeat?’
IU head coach Curt Cignetti seems to have a system of staffing, recruiting, and team practices that other coaches will be striving to emulate. He took the team with the worst record in NCAA 1-A history to a dominating powerhouse in the Big Ten, which is currently the most dominate conference in 1-A football. And he did it in just two seasons! Other Schools are going to be looking at their programs and asking their Head Coaches, ‘Why can’t we do that?’
With such success comes the ability to recruit the best talent form HS and from other college teams with players wanting to transfer.
This year Cignetti only lost one assistant coach but as IU continues to win other schools will be poaching his assistants for head coach positions and IMO Cignetti’s ability to staff equally great replacements for those coaches will be a determining factor in how long Indiana can remain at the top level of the Conference.

Turning a college football team around is one of the hardest things to do in sports in my opinion. It’s about recruiting. Top recruits want to go to big name programs that are consistent historical winners. So teams down long term never get the best recruits. The quick turn around from a loser to a winner and National title win should keep Indiana on top for a while, but if it can be long term is to be seen.
I wish Curt Cignetti the best of luck though I live in Wisconsin. Hopefully he doesn’t fall for the lure and money of the NFL.
If I want to know anything about Cignetti, I’ll Google it. But until then, it is going to be hard to avoid that topic as College Football season approaches.
Yes! it is a topic that’ll be hard avoid if one watches college football. This former IU student, I cannot sympathize with your pain, having suffered in silence for decades.
Liking that dynasty concept, eh?
One never knows! But it sure seems unlikely to me that the last two years were a fluke. And hell yes I like that concept, remembering sitting in the stands and then later at home watching them get their asses kicked time again. One miserable season after another, with either hopeless teams or teams that showed a bit of promise but never could even get to the point of being a real contender for the Big Ten Championship. Decades of that. Almost every year it was Ohio State or Michigan dominating.
Before this year the last and ONLY other time IU had been to the Rose Bowl was in 1968, and even then they were Big Ten Co-champions! They lost of course.
I was attending IU at Bloomington the year Bobby Knight took their basketball team undefeated to the NCAA Championship. I was fortunate enough to get a ticket to every one of their home games that year.
The only other bright spot in IU athletics back then was in men’s swimming.

Roy Orbison with The Traveling Wilburys, a British and American supergroup formed in Los Angeles in 1988, consisting of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty. They were a roots rock band and described as “perhaps the biggest supergroup of all time”.[1]
Originating from an idea discussed by Harrison and Lynne during the sessions for Harrison’s 1987 album Cloud Nine, the band formed in April 1988 after the five members united to record a bonus track for Harrison’s next European single. As we were riding the bus, I was watching a hiker walking a ridge, stop, and then walk back the other way. Shortly after, we saw what he saw. A mother grizzly and two cubs.
And there was a moose that walked through the parking lot.
So, despite being cloudy, it was a good trip.

I have read about disputes over Jesus speaking about Synagogues, claiming they weren’t in the area until after the temple was destroyed.
But there are remains of a Synagogue in Galilee dated to the 1st century BC.
The oldest is in Egypt from the 3rd century BC. But it is thought they they were first created during Babylonian captivity.

COMMENTARY FOR 2 TIMOTHY 2:15
The apostle exhorts Timothy to persevere with diligence, like a soldier, a combatant, and a husbandman. (1-7) Encouraging him by assurances of a happy end of his faithfulness. (8-13) Warnings to shun vain babblings and dangerous errors. (14-21) Charges to flee youthful lusts, and to minister with zeal against error, but with meekness of spirit. (22-26)
14-21 Those disposed to strive, commonly strive about matters of small moment. But strifes of words destroy the things of God. The apostle mentions some who erred. They did not deny the resurrection, but they corrupted that true doctrine. Yet nothing can be so foolish or erroneous, but it will overturn the temporary faith of some professors. This foundation has two writings on it. One speaks our comfort. None can overthrow the faith of any whom God hath chosen. The other speaks our duty. Those who would have the comfort of the privilege, must make conscience of the duty Christ gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, #Tit 2:14|. The church of Christ is like a dwelling: some furniture is of great value; some of smaller value, and put to meaner uses. Some professors of religion are like vessels of wood and earth. When the vessels of dishonour are cast out to be destroyed, the others will be filled with all the fulness of God. We must see to it that we are holy vessels. Every one in the church whom God approves, will be devoted to his Master’s service, and thus fitted for his use.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Kids may think that… at the time… but that picture I posted of the Squire surely emits smells of summer and warm leather. Lots of fun to be had in those cars. I always felt that way about mini vans, but then when I grew up and had a child – I found a Honda min-van that came with its own camping package and vacuum! I thought – man, I’ll ditch the standard residential living and go camping (glamping) by a river and live in my car! I’m ready.

When I first read this about the “pedestrian” causing an engine fire, I already assumed what was just played, as a Aircraft Carrier flight deck vet equated to me long ago.
Walk too close to jet engine, you get Asphlundhed out the back of the engine. Yes he saw it … a few times, but the plane took off just fine.
Engine “fire” = Adipose tissue fire.
Why is the engine on fire before striking the person? 🤔
Thermal cam, heat plume of the engine, as well as the body of the “pedestrian”.
Monitoring for wildlife to not get into oncoming traffic, I guess the “hunters” were not paying much attention before this wildlife tried to take a shortcut to somewhere.
Usually 12′ fencing around the airport with barbed wire tops, must be a hole in the fence perhaps put there by the “pedestrian”.
Even the gates to get in to the hangars are tall to keep things out.
After 9/11 had to be escorted at all times as well… and yes bathroom as well… at least to guard the door.
