Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

It’s Saturday… let your soul shine
The Irish have their priorities. Great Story and so typically Irish!

I’ve been a Guinness Stout drinker for several years now. Buy it in the cans that release the CO2 when you open them. Good Stuff.
Israel Update:
~ Correction: JD Vance leads the negotiations, along with Witkoff and Kushner. Yesterday I thought he was out.
~ Pakistan, the first Muslim nation to develop nuclear weapons—also through covert means—and the country that sold Iran centrifuge and nuclear technology, is mediating. JD Vance, who opposed the operation in Iran, is the lead U.S. negotiator. The cards are stacked against us, I would say.
May God help us anyway.
~ Wall Street Journal: Iran still has thousands of ballistic missiles hidden.
Note that I don’t trust this paper, but the IDF was talking about 1,500, so this may be a true report. The IDF does have a history of over-optimism.
~ Trump: “We will not allow the Strait of Hormuz to remain closed, with or without Iran. It will be open soon.”
~ The Iranian team landed in Pakistan. The Speaker of Parliament, who seems to be the one Trump suggested as the alternative, the Foreign Minister, the Secretary of the Banks, and one more official were present. A warm welcome from Pakistan.
~ WSJ: The U.S. keeps sending military power to the region. More jet fighters, 1,500–2,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne, and the George Bush carrier on the way.
~ An ex-senior Mossad on Iran:
“Trump can’t get out of this battle without achieving the key purpose for which he launched the operation—this is the uranium issue, a complete stop of enrichment, and the retrieval of the 460–480 kg of highly enriched uranium.
We need to remember that we are at a pause, not an end; the negotiations are just beginning. Regarding the ballistic and proxy issues, those were not the original American goals of the operation—those are more Israeli goals.
But the Iranians did get hit very badly in terms of reducing their missiles and also regarding the proxies.
Whatever happens, the nuclear issue, in my opinion, is an American glowing red line that they will not compromise on.” — Oded Ilam
~ Note: The Pakistanis and the Iranians will try to mislead Trump into a deceptive agreement.
My prayers are for Trump to have Divine help and clarity in his decisions.
I will not claim that Trump was saved to save Israel—I do not know the ways of God. But did you know that Nixon was destined to save Israel? It’s actually fascinating. See this short video (just over three minutes):
~ The Israeli stock market is at its highest range ever. The Israeli currency has also broken its highest level in 30 years.
~ We still had around 60 launches from Lebanon, mainly causing significant damage. Israel has reduced its attacks in Lebanon. I am sure the U.S. asked for this to enable the negotiations in Pakistan.
~ The Lebanese ambassador to the U.S. met with Israeli officials—direct negotiations. Reports say the U.S. is pushing to add Lebanon to the Abraham Accords peace deal.
I need to explain something about the Israeli point of view as opposed to the American one.
In the U.S., elections are typically driven by the economy.
In Israel, it is security. A candidate can have the best economic plan, but if they are perceived as weak on security, they will not be elected. And it’s not only about appearing tough—we want to know their precise policies on Palestinians, Lebanon, Hamas, etc.
Why am I saying this? Because we don’t care about peace with Lebanon—who is not in control of Lebanon and we are not in a war with them—if it means withdrawing from South Lebanon and relying on them to protect our border, which they failed to do before and are not able to do now. This is what is being pushed. In past years, they were quite dishonest, pretending they would disarm Hezbollah while Hezbollah grew stronger under their nose. So I feel this is more about pleasing Trump than a real solution.
There are large segments in Lebanon who dislike Hezbollah, and this is growing—mainly among Christians. But they are not in a position to deal with Hezbollah.
Trump’s latest post:

~To summarize: there are two main camps in Israel.
One is the left and the right, who say: “Would WWII, with the Nazis still in control of Germany, be considered a victory?” The left uses this to attack the government; the right speaks more from the heart.
The center says: “Let’s see if we can at least solve the nuclear issue. If yes, we can take that as a win. We may have to fight again in the future, but things can change until then.”
Most of us feel closer to the first group, but we would accept the second—so long as the regime does not receive financial rewards that will eventually be used against us.
This should give you a good idea of the sentiment in Israel. Expectations Vs reality.
What you want Vs what you need – Thinking about the Rolling Stones song, “You can’t always get what you want…”
God bless Israel and the USA.
God put an end to the Iranian nuclear program.
God Free Iran soon.
Howdy, Garrison and Tink 😘☕😽 Time once again to turn this week’s collection of moggies loose. There are so many, its hard to know where to start…but here I think.

Mornin’ dear Bet. I posted this Jim Hall performance in last night’s Open Thread. It was pretty late so you may have missed it.
I also included some additional comments relating to our discussion of the subtle mysteries of early mornings. If you care to read my thoughts, the post is located toward the end of last night’s discussions.
This composition is so beautiful, yet mysterious. Jim Hall and George Shearing’s playing so evocative of early-morning quiet that I’d like to post it again. Jim Hall is one of the most lyrical jazz guitarists ever. Hope you like it as much as I do, love. 🙂
Oh, and Little ‘Tink always seems to sense when I’m writing to friends . . . She sends you her best early morning kitty purr. 🙂
All Across The City performed by Jim Hall, guitar and George Shearing, piano . . .
I did miss it, so thank you!! A wonderful way to sign off for the night, dear you. I will retrace my steps for your thoughts from yesterday. What sweeter way to say good night than a loving purr or two from your Tink. I swear
I can hear her from here 😌💕You two sleep tight. See you in the morning light 😘
This is a completely different system than caused the rough weather in Kansas earlier this week. And it’s going to build over the weekend.

Greetings Treepers! 🙏✝️🙏
