Looking for Hebrew, it seems David desired to use all terms for God that he could in Psalms 16. El, Jehovah, Adonai. And God is on David’s right hand but pleasure is on God’s right hand.
In Psalm 110, David’s Lord is Jehovah. And Jehovah puts an intermediate Lord for David, Ladoni, on Jehovah’s right hand.
The term Ladoni is often used for a human master like Abraham or even David. But who is David’s human master? And the rest of the verses definitely sound messianic. Combining Kingly and Priestly powers.
I can definitely see why the Gospels quote Jesus referring to himself when quoting Psalms 110. Though there is a lot out there that tries to deny the Christ is Ladoni interpretation.
Putting that aside. Both Psalms referenced use ‘right hand’
The person erasing Hebrew scripture and its quotation in Greek has some nerve.
I’ll let someone else check the other Greek verses he cites. But he shouldn’t erase words that are in the Hebrew OT.
On the otherhand, he has passed up an opportunity to criticize the KJV. With almost Every different word for God or Master translated as Lord, how can anybody know what was said? (Psalms 16:1 translates el as God.)

“Pleasures at God’s Right Hand” – A common but incorrectly used “side” to describe God’s power, – although introducing the word “pleasures” in this example renders it correct. The Right hand/arm/side of God is the “expression” of mercy, kindness, favor etc, while the Left side is associated with Judgement, severity, constriction etc. One interpretation is that if God used His (strong) Right arm/hand/side for judgement, punishment etc, none would survive the ordeal. Therefore He uses the “weaker” or “softer” Left “arm” for correction. Being at or sitting at the “right hand” is not to be understood as being on His “important” or “strong” side but rather as being on His side of Mercy, kindness, favor, freedom.
Unfortunately the translators have too often simply used the word “Lord” which can not and does not capture the deeper meaning and intent of the original Hebrew.
Here are the 7 names of God that are not allowed to be erased.
YHVH (י–ה–ו–ה): This is the only title that is referred to as G‑d’s name, and not simply a descriptive title. It is never pronounced today, instead, we substitute the name A-do-nai.
E-lo-him: This title refers to G‑d as He is mighty and powerful, capable of achieving anything anywhere. It is also used for human beings when they act as judges.
A-don-ai: “Adon” means “master,” so this title speaks of G‑d as master of the universe and of all His creatures.
Sha-da’i: Various explanations have been given to this title. One is that it refers to G‑d as He controls and manipulates the natural world.
E-l: This refers to G‑d as He is kind and caring to His creatures. It also means that G‑d is a superior power. It is sometimes used in reference to human beings, as well, as in “He took the strong men (ellim) of the land.” It accepts the possessive suffix for first person singular: “E-li” for “my G‑d.”
Eh-he-yeh: When Moses asked G‑d for His name so He could tell the Israelites who had spoken with him, G‑d answered, “Eh-he-yeh asher Eh-he-yeh,” which means “I will be who I will be,” or “I am who I am.” Another interpretation, which fits in the context of the narrative: “I am with you in your distress, and I will always be with you at all times of distress.”
Tze-va-ot: This title was introduced by Chana, mother of Samuel. It always appears together with another title.
God has no “name” per se, other than the full extrapolation of YHWH (actually it’s a V – YHVH)
(Jud Hay Vav Hay).
The “names” attributed are more like “faces” or “attributes” to describe. However there are maybe a handful of people who know and can possibly pronounce the full name/title, which will not be until Messiah.

I haven’t personally let go of the “J” sound. I’m a little attached to it. I was surprised to learn that “J” is a relatively recent language addition. That it originally was pronounced the way it is still pronounced in Spanish, but that some languages changed how it was pronounced. English, German. But it frustrates me to learn that nobody in the Bible was really named James. Even my German Bible uses Jakob.
So I apologize for still using Jehovah. (I also can never remember the vowelless YHWH.)

Morning, Corny….we’re about to get some after a long dry spell (except for a blessed day a week or so ago). In the meantime our neighbours pool pump has been leaking for so long we are sodden. I told them that our drive was in a permanent state of marshland (moss) and….nothing. No urgency, no concern, nothing but inaction.
So we got in touch with our well booked up sprinkler man (once in the corporate world and now this at which he is exceptional and cheery and energetic) who had an unexpected opening this morning and who came out to make sure the problem was were we knew it was but just to make sure it wasn’t us. It wasn’t. He found the obvious problem and showed our (good if oblivious) neighbours there can be no doubt. They also paid his modest fee for investigating, and so now the fire is lit and blazing underneath them. Thank goodness…
I hope you get your God provided rain, sis. Manna from Heaven. There is nothing to inspire gratitude like seeing it fall 😘👍🏻🙏🏻

Our old 130 lb chocolate, Clarence Thomas, developed myelopathy and began having difficulty walking, getting up and down and all that entails.
He so loved the water and swimming, we decided to take him on a vacation to the Pacific Ocean. We found a B&B that not only allowed dogs, but catered to them. He had his own dog bed, dog bowl, and was allowed on the patio to eat (and he was allowed to order from the menu!)
We took him to swim in the ocean every day with a life jacket just like the one pictured. It had a handle on the top so we could intervene when he needed us.
That was over 20 years ago. We still say Clarence’s Vacation was Our best ever. He passed away 6 months later, and I have never really gotten over it.
It was probably the most expensive 4 days of our lives, and worth every penny!
We don’t vacation now. Haven’t in 11 years. Too many hospice animals I could not leave and a passel of others that make things complicated.
But, damn, that was worth it!
Clarence with his favorite “ball” – a bulb syringe that we brought from our hospital jobs. One day, he managed 7 in his mouth! How I miss him. 😢
I believe you will see him again. Have you ever read the poem The Rainbow Bridge? I’ll have a whole crew waiting on me. ❤️

Buckley sleeps with us but our old girl Geisha usually wants to sleep in her bed on the floor by my side of the bed. Cocoa, the cocker we had before Geisha got that way the last couple years of her life.
Buckley can be a bed hog, but it’s worth it.
There is nothing better, rah. I wish our daughter’s Maggie when she stays with us would, as she does with her mom and dad. But that is a privilege reserved for them. She’s quite happy in her own bed which comes with her here, or on the sofa where she sits with me during the day. Still, t’would be nice….miss our Penny.

Mornin’ dear Bet. I decided to make a last pass before turning in and, happily, found your post. I’ve always like staying up late—Youtube has proved to be a great late-nite endeavor for me. I like the feeling of being alone at night, something I learned to appreciate as a nite-time disc-jockey back in my 20’s . . .
There was something about the feeling of silence—imagined or real—in those morning hours that I found I really enjoyed, something mysteriously affecting about walking out of the station in the early morning when the city was still asleep and feeling that “apartness” of early morning time was something that I came to love. From that time on, I always enjoyed “this” special time. . .
Little ‘Tink, bless her accommodating little self is also an early morning kitty, waiting for me to start moving around and then joining me for a chin-rub and a gentle purr.
My dad was always an early morning riser, getting ready for the road at 4 or 5am each day. Our paths would often cross with me coming home from my late-night air shift when he was getting his first cuppa’ . . . We both liked slightly different versions of the same thing, it seemed.
I’m glad you liked this morning’s music, Bet. They are an exceptionally gifted guitar duo. Finding virtuosos that talented is one of the reasons I so enjoy putting up videos here. Gotta’ hand it to the Siccas guys for being such ‘net guitar curators . . .

What a beautiful thing it is, dear Garrison, to travel with you in your memories. You paint such a wonderful picture not only of what you saw but the feelings which came with. Those are what stick as the years roll by; and what better time than when all is silence, except for the music you choose which no doubt brings them to the surface, as all music does for me as well. Yes, your star artists tonight were exquisite in their playing. Effortless, a very real treat for an escape from the now permanent upheaval.
I am fighting a particularly bad bout of seasonal allergies…ugh. We have emergent cedars near to us doing their thing, and I wish they would stop it!! 😂 So onward…looking forward to that first ☕💕. We drink instant from Mexico which is reasonable. But yesterday when I needed some more, I was shocked to find the price had risen 25% since I had last purchased it. Lorrie’s vital signs started showing a serious bleed somewhere and she went up to the ICU again. Took 5 units of blood or plasma. They found the bleed via interventional radiology and were able to stop it going through what was described to me as an “artery in her groin” which could be any one of several and they think the bleed is contained. Now you know as much as I know at this time. I have some questions but now is not the time for me to be hassling the kids for details.
What’s important now is that they found the bleed and got it stopped. She was doing so well and this bleed just popped up out of no where! So all I can do is pray that it is indeed stopped for good and no others pop up. Two steps forward one step back.
Thank you for the additional information about the bleed, rah. I’m so thankful they found the cause and were able to stop it. She has been and will continue to be in my prayers.
She’s tough! I suspected the vacuum dressing had something to do with causing the bleed. been reading up on them and they have to be strictly monitored and managed when over the bowels. But I’ve been told it was in a different location that where the dressing covered. So now I’m totally stumped as to what caused it.
Don’t forget, after cleaning the room, there is always stuff left in the ‘hidden’ nooks and crannies that are good for hiding Easter Eggs.

Biography: Frank Lloyd Wright was an American architect, interior designer, writer, and educator, who developed a series of highly original styles of architecture. He spent more than 70 years creating designs that revolutionized the art of architecture. His vision was to create architecture that was in harmony with humanity and its environment, a philosophy he called organic architecture.
Wright’s most iconic design is the house known as Fallingwater, constructed in the 1930s. Built over a natural waterfall in the Pennsylvania woods, it exemplifies his concept of organic architecture: the harmonious union of art and nature. Another significant contribution of Wright’s is the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City, with its spiraling, continuous space disrupting traditional museum layout.
Wright was not just an architect, but also an educator. He established an apprenticeship program at his studio, Taliesin, in Wisconsin. Known as the Taliesin Fellowship, it combined hands-on architectural work with a curriculum that included design, history, and other related subjects. He designed the Biltmore resort which, no lie, is pretty grand (though he was paid for his design as ‘consultant’, not the architect of record), but imo his crown jewel here* is the Gammage Auditorium –
the opera house was originally designed for another desert – to be built in the Arabian desert, in Baghdad – but that deal fell through so when the university came calling in 1957 for an auditorium & music school buildings, minor re-designs to fit the Sonoran desert were worked up & Gammage agreed to the project. Neither lived to see the project completed; he saw Guggenheim done but barely the the beginning of the Opera House in progress.
When I lived in Tempe I went to the music school to attend rehersals that were open and my wee one interned for a semester in the Opera House (her best job ever she says), and if you’re ever in the neighborhood, yes go to Taliesin West… just be sure to go see whatever is playing in the Opera House called Gammage Auditorium in Tempe – it’s a magical place.

COMMENTARY FOR ISAIAH 44:22
Here are promises of the influences of the Holy Spirit. (1-8) An exposure of the folly of idolatry. (9-20) Also the deliverance of God’s people. (21-28)
21-28 Return unto me. It is the great concern of those who have backslidden from God, like the Jews of old, to hasten their return to him. The work of redemption wrought for us by Christ, encourages to hope for all blessings from him. Our transgressions and our sins are as a thick cloud between heaven and earth: sins separate between us and God; they threaten a storm of wrath. When God pardons sin, he blots out, he dispels this cloud, this thick cloud, so that the way to heaven is open again. The cloud is scattered by the Sun of righteousness; it is quite gone. The comforts that flow into the soul when sin is pardoned, are like clear shining after clouds and rain. Let not Israel be discouraged; nothing is too hard for God: having made all, he can make what use he pleases of any. Those that learn to know Christ, see all knowledge to be foolishness, in comparison with the knowledge of him. And his enemies will find their counsels turned into foolishness, and themselves taken in their craftiness. The exact fulfilling the prophecies of Scripture confirms the truth of the whole, and proves its Divine origin. The particular favours God designed for his people in captivity, were foretold here, long before they went into captivity. Very great difficulties would be in the way of their deliverance; but it is promised that by Divine power they should all be removed. God knew who should be the Deliverer of his people; and let his church know it, that when they heard such a name talked of, they might know their redemption drew nigh. It is the greatest honour of the greatest men, to be employed as instruments of the Divine favour to his people. In things wherein men serve themselves, and look no further, God makes them do all his pleasure. And a nobler Shepherd than Cyrus does his Father’s will, till his work is fully completed.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Sit Rep- I am finding myself in a strange situation and I find it quite ironic, I waited two hours for “El Jefe” to show up at the job site where I was hoping to make a little money and when he arrived I introduced my self and told him my need. The man couldn’t even make eye contact and quickly told me he didn’t need me and that he had all the guys he needed and of course “Im sorry” (I am sure one of the workers told him about the gringo that was there yesterday). As of this moment I have been in the US for one week, I have been walking around learning the lay of the land and talking to several business about possible opportunities for work. McAllen is approximately 95% Hispanic and I am experiencing racism that I have only experienced in my time in Mexico. Despite my ability to speak and understand Spanish every single one of the people I have spoken to is polite but they brush me off as quickly as possible. I find it ironic because when I worked in the trades many years ago it used to make me mad when I saw all the Mexicans standing outside Lowes or Home Depot being picked up for day labor because it affected my wages and job opportunities. I am not discouraged but it does leave me shaking my head while walking away and I do know that “persistence overcomes resistance”. The deportations/ self-deportations have not only caused bad feelings in Mexico but also here in the US. I am now considering donating plasma which pays $100 for each donation up to a max of 4 I have told by another person staying at the shelter. Once I get my State ID things will get easier for me but for now I am in a kind of limbo as far as making money, till then I have no concerns over food, shelter or medical needs. One of surprising results of my lab work was that my vitamin D levels where twice what is considered good and I can only assume it is because of all the sun I had been getting while walking out if Mexico.

I literally just talked to someone else and they said they could use my help today. So I will eat lunch at the shelter and go back afterwards to start working. 😁
The best part is it is right next door to the shelter 😜
