The AZ Sonora Desert Museum is on the outskirts of Tucson – one of a handful of things worth visiting there. It features only animals indigenous to the Sonoran Desert: and has otters! Can’t watch an otter play and not smile.
Shedd Aquarium had a otter exhibit…my kids loved it…they were very playful during the summer and less so during winter…so when we went, we realized the best time of year, for theri playfulness, was summer…

We had a Sammy too! When both my mama and later, my step-dad passed away, they had SAMMY. Someone had to take him, because with them passing on…he needed a home. So, my husband and I took him. He needed to travel with us, back to NC from upstate NY. My older brother, who is a vet–gave Sammy a medication that would make him sleep most of the way. We were in our van, and Sammy slept under the driver’s seat where my husband drove all the way back to NC. Sammy started to wake up about an hour or so outside our home, but he was cool with it, and drank some water we had in a bowl. Sammy became part of our family for many years, and he passed on when he was about 25 years old! He was a tall, handsome black tabby. He was one of the most loving, friendly COOL cats we ever had!

Hi Soaz. My Granny used Velveeta when she made mac and cheese too. It was delicious. She always served mac and cheese with stewed tomatoes. To this day, I make stewed tomatoes to go with my mac and cheese.
Stewed tomatoes are the perfect accompaniment! We had that too. My mom could make gourmet meals out of air. Her Hungarian goulash was 5 star.
When I was married to the wasband, I had only coins for food shopping. Answer: call mom. She taught me to cook for pennies over the phone!
Gonna get political here. Get rid of food stamps and require people to feed themselves within their budget. If you don’t have a budget – make one. Many of us are proof it can be done. It’s far healthier and I don’t really want to buy soda and chips for people too lazy to cook.

Hand raised as I am guilty of talking to my cats. They do listen and usually voice their opinion as well.
Ours always did….knew their names and responded when we’d speak to them.
I basically say the same thing to my cats as well.
Cleo has now decided my lap is the perfect spot to get some petting and scratching whenever I sit down in the office or on my bed. Not constantly, but numerous times a day. She then likes to nibble on my knuckle after the scratches. Her daughter Maizie will nibble as well after the scratches. The other two don’t do it, but Percy will also sleep on my lap when I am in the office. Maizie and Pumpkin sleep against me most nights, and Beau has accepted the cats on the bed with him as long as they stay on one side of me and don’t mess with his ears and tail, and he stays on the other side. Tings have settled into a good routine here with the four cats. By the way, I think I saw the kittens father the other day drinking out of the pond. Big boy, looked like he had Maine Coon in him, not pure but some in his lineage. He did not stick around, just got a drink and off he went, I am sure to find another female to romance! He was quite beautiful.

Good evening Betsy. He probably gets the rodents and moles. I think he comes in the yard some nights and sees Cleo in the office window as I sometimes smell his spray some mornings. I did have mice outside and moles but they seem to have disappeared. I wonder if he is getting them. He did not look underfed. He actually was in good weight as I looked at him with my binoculars. I keep them to watch the Great Blue Herons, King Fisher and Great Snowy Egrets eat the fish, frogs and lizards out of and near the pond.
I have a large window in my kitchen facing the pond and get a great view of the various critters that use the pond.
My neighbor behind me, beyond the woods, loves cats and dogs and puts feed out for the cats that show up. Hopefully he is eating some of that. I’ll keep an eye out for him and let you know.

Mornin’ dear Bet. I find the coffee shop snow scenes to be nostalgic. When I was a kid in NE Ok. we’d sometimes have a last “winter” snow . . . in March. Didn’t last long—just covered the ground for a day or two. Loved the snow. My dad used to tow my sled behind the car. We’d get arrested for that now . . . sigh.
A cold front moved through last night and dropped the temps. Don’t think it’ll get much over 70 today. Going to meet some friends at a Italian car show a little later so I’m wearing my Christmas, “Alfa Romeo” hoodie!

Consider this: God is love. (I John 4:16). It is His nature to love and He loves everyone that He’s created.
God even loved every person of the pre-flood Noahic world. Don’t think for a moment that He did not. And for the years it took Noah to build the ark, God, through Noah, sent warning to the people. (2 Peter 2:5). And yet, every single one of them, outside Noah and his family, perished in the flood sent by God as a judgement for man’s wickedness.
God is love, but God is also holy and righteous. And because He is holy, He cannot excuse sin. (Hebrews 12:14). But God’s holiness is satisfied in His Son, Jesus Christ, who lived a perfectly sinless life. So when we except Christ’s life and sacrifice as a substitution for ours, God attributes the righteousness of Christ to us and as far as His holiness, it is as if we have not sinned! Christ is the demonstration of God’s love and in this age of grace, the love of God, through His Holy Spirit, operating through His church, is reaching out to every person calling them to accept Christ and so be reconciled to God. That’s the true answer to God’s love – to love Him back and accept the sacrifice of Christ on our behalf. We love Him, because He first loved us, and sent His Son to die on our behalf. (I John 4:19).

I’ve been disturbed lately at the ever growing accolades Senator John Fetterman has been getting in conservative circles. He allegedly has a higher approval rating in Pennsylvania with Republicans than with Democrats. Pennsylvania is center/ center-right in the non-urban areas, with the urban areas known to count ballots until their liberal candidate wins. Fetterman is a wolf in sheep’s clothing who is being positioned to guarantee re-election in ‘28, or possibly a presidential run? He talks a good talk, but his voting is hard core D except where it doesn’t matter and he has permission to deviate for appearances. Beware!

1 A right cause will be better pleaded with meekness than with passion. Nothing stirs up anger like grievous words. #2|. He that has knowledge, is to use it aright, for the good of others. 3|. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

CRUCIFIXION TIME LINE
It is of interest to me that this coming Passover falls on the same day of the week as the day Jesus Christ was glorified on the cross. 2026 is an exact replica of the timeline of the crucifixion of the KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF LORDS.
He was executed on the morning of the Passover preparation in which a lamb was to be killed. His body was taken down before sundown in order to avoid interference with the observance of the feast.
Passover 2026 is Wednesday April 1.
Jesus gave up the ghost on a Wednesday morning. He went into the tomb Wednesday night. He was destined to spend three nights and three days in the heart of the earth.
He spent Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights beneath the feet of humanity. He spent Thursday, Friday and Saturday daytimes doing his Father’s will. Three nights, three days. He rose Saturday evening after sundown which is the start of the new day for Jews. He was seen Sunday morning first by Mary Magdalene and then by others as the resurrected man, just as he said he would be. He had been up for hours before Mary saw him.
Passover 2026 is Wednesday April 1. If Jesus Christ were to be resurrected this year, he would come out of the tomb Saturday, April 4th at sundown and be discovered by Mary Magdalene Sunday April 5 at sunrise. That is twelve hours after his eternal soul rejoined his uncorrupted body.
What gives this timeline complexity, is the Jewish clock and the Roman clock. The Roman day, which we observe, begins at midnight. The Jewish day, which Jesus Christ observed, begins the prior evening around 6 pm. Roman time: midnight to midnight; Jewish time: 6 pm to 6 pm. The Bible employs both clocks because both were true during the time of the crucifixion and were intertwined in the account.

DIVIDING THE ‘WATCH’
Old Testament time was divided into four hour periods every twelve hours: 6 pm to 10 pm; 10 pm to 2 am; 2 am to 6 am. This was repeated to complete the 24 hour day.
Significantly, the first ‘watch’ ends at 10 am or pm. The second ‘watch’ ends at 2 am or pm. A line can be drawn straight across from 10 to 2. Now draw a line from 12 to 6.
It forms a cross.

It’s been a while since I posted, I am slowly making my way north from Mexico City, things haven’t gone as well as I would like them to. Today I am walking along a toll road and trying to hitch a ride hopefully someone will help me out. I did have a turn of good luck on the way to Mexico City, I was questioned by immigration at a check point and when I gave them my passport they informed me that it was expired and that I needed to get it renewed ASAP. There was another gringa on the bus who told them that hers had been lost/ stolen. They let us both go with a warning when by rights they should have detained the both of us.
