Another good’un, benzy. Reminds me of a little place on Westheimer. Lightin’ liked to play there. They didn’t card (I was 20 at the time) and didn’t pay much attention to closing times . . . Houston was a great place for a country boy to experience real urban life . . . easy to find jobs, good lookin’ girls, cheap digs, seriously cool bars, Townes and Guy lived just down the street.
The USAF has been trying to get rid of the A-10 for over a decade and now look at them. No soldier that is or has been pounding the ground agrees with them. The testimonials from the ground pounders in Iraq and Afghanistan highlighting the effectiveness of the aircraft are all over.
I hope this current action will change the way things were headed. The USAF better either keep and update the Warthog or come up with another aircraft dedicated to ground support that is even more effective and even more survivable or they and those in the government trying to get rid of it will have buckets of blood on their hands.
yeah, as the video explains well, the A-10 hits a sweet spot that’s hard to match in terms of linger time, inexpensive munitions, slow enough speed to allow targets to be identified, and suitability for mission against those swarms of “fast boats”

Biography: Milton Berle broke into show business by winning a Charlie Chaplin impersonation contest aged 5 and went on to become the first major American television star, so much so he was dubbed ‘Mr Television’.
Berle had a successful career on stage, in vaudeville and on radio before landing a role on the new TV version of “Texaco Star Theater” in 1948. He became its permanent host and dominated the early days of television with his quick wit, gags and funny costumes. The show was so popular it is reputed to have driven the sales of new televisions and forced bars and clubs to change their usual day of closing to the same day the show was on.
In 1951 NBC signed him to an unheard of 30-year-contract of one million dollars. This led to the “Milton Berle Show” (1955-56) after Texaco Star Theater finished in 1954.
In his later career he frequently appeared on shows as a guest star and was an Emmy nominated guest actor for”The Dick Powell Show” in 1961 and for “Beverly Hills, 90210” in 1995.

8-19 Let men beware how they call those prophets whom they choose after their own fancies, and how they consider their fancies and dreams to be revelations from God. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Lorrie survived the surgery this morning. She will be on the respirator at least through the weekend. They got her cleaned up inside as much as possible and got her small intestines reattached but could not reattach the colon so she will have a colostomy for at least a year.
She WILL have infection and they say the next 30 days are critical. At this time she is in the ICU and will be fore a while.
If she can survive the sepsis she will need care for 6-8 months at an extended care facility.
I cannot go to see her until my own incision does not bleed anymore. Just the lower part seems to leak a little. No signs of infection but I just have to take it easy and let it heal.
Heavenly FATHER,
We thank YOU for helping rah. We PRAY continued healing for him.
We Thank YOU for bringing his sister, Lorrie through the surgery. FATHER, YOU are The Great Physician and ultimate Healer. We’re asking for Healing for Lorrie now and in the coming days and weeks.
We’re Trusting her to YOU in JESUS PRECIOUS, MIGHTY, & HOLY NAME, AMEN, AMEN, & AMEN

For all your sister has been through recently this is all good news! Praying the sepsis will be minimal and well controlled through drugs. Thank you so much for the updates. Hopefully the worst is over and her recovery is full and speedy. There are worse things in life than a colostomy for a year. You must be greatly relieved the crisis is abating.
