The announcement marks an expansion of the Warthog’s confirmed role in Epic Fury. On March 15, U.S. Central Command released imagery of A-10C Thunderbolt IIs receiving fuel in flight while supporting the operation, the first official visuals of the aircraft in the campaign.
“The A-10 Thunderbolt II can loiter for hours, standing by and ready to execute a mission whenever needed,” CENTCOM said in the accompanying post on X.

I worked for a time in the medical unit of the local AFB, and spent most of my lunch breaks in the parking lot closest to the flight line watching mostly A-10 ‘s. They also fly over my house most days – and have such a distinctive “whistle” and silhouette. Magnificent machines and crews. ❤️

Oh yeah. They have had ISO 800 and ISO 1000 color film since the 1980s at least. I’ve used Kodak’s 1000 for indoor flash-less photographs. Best photo I ever took of my two kids sitting at our kitchen counter was with ISO 1000 color film in the early 1980s.
Outdoors though, the colors and sharpness are way better with ISO 100 or 200 film. Kodachrome ISO 64 film was always for color slides.
Today, Kodak Portra 400 and Portra 800 are their best color films for indoor / low light (high speed) photography.
How can anyone resist this face? Beautiful

“In Florida a 13 year old boy, home sick from school, was thrown into a terrifying situation.
His mom wasn’t answering her phone, and his orange cat was dying before his eyes. Panicked but determined, he grabbed the car keys. Though he had never driven before, he made it nearly a mile towards the nearest vet, until flashing !lights appeared behind him.
The officer who pulled him over quickly realized what was happening. Without hesitation, he rushed the cat into his car and sped to the vet. Thanks to his quick thinking, the cat survived. The boy, already overwhelmed with ghilt, was later taken to his mom’s workplace. Before leaving, the officer turned to the mother and said:
‘I’d usually give you a lecture, hoping you’d raise a better child. But ma’am, you’ve raise an amazing, strong, compassionate, and smart young man Let’s just hope he makes sure he learns what side of the road to drive on in a few years.'”
I guess he is used to Left hand driving in games then & not really paying attention what side of the road the ? Brits / Europe / Australia ? drives on where he lives, on the bright side it didn’t end in a head on so he must drive ok.

As for which side of the road, my Brit husband when I say we drive on the right side of the road always says that Brits drive on the correct side 😂 Something that I had to learn to do over there.
I managed to do in relatively short order. But one day coming out of the small lane where our house was, I was concentrating on something else when I turned onto the main two lane winding road as I headed in a direction I normally didn’t go.
It was early so there was no on else on it; and as I carried on I saw someone coming out of his lane further up waving furiously to me…
Well, how friendly I thought…until suddenly and sickeningly I realized he wasn’t being that at all, but warning I was not on the “correct” side!” I never got it wrong after, and figured my guardian angel was seated next to me…as no sooner did I switch to the other side as a bend approached than another car came from the other direction.
Live (thankfully) and learn. Which I certainly did.
Good morning, dear Bet! Elizabeth and I have visited England and Ireland a couple of times. I’ve always welcomed the opportunity to drive on what I call the “wrong” side of the road. 😁
And to make things merrier the rental cars were always with a stick.
The only problem I had driving in Australia was the turn indicators. Up for left was a bridge too far.

Bets, the nearest town to us is a retirement community. Most of the vehicles are new (and fairly expensive). I’m always wondering why they are not equipped with directional signals. ???
Ha!!!! Accurate. And something we’ve often wondered as well. One of the first things we drilled into our three grands here when Chris was teaching them how to drive was USE YOUR SIGNAL!!!! All the time, even when there is no one behind them so that doing so would become automatic and habit. Which they do.
And…..the signal is an excellent self defense mechanism.
Those new vehicles sometimes do not get their reservoirs filled, gotta buy & install yourself.

Sometimes I ask them if they are saving their turn signals so when they trade in the car they can say they are brand new, never used!

I don’t know if you experienced this feeling, dear friend, but when I first started driving over there, the car felt twice as wider. The only words I can use to describe it were “creepy and surreal”. But that passed, and then twenty years later I had to reaccclimate in the US…not easy.
And here’s the thing… for a long time after I returned to the US, I kept trying to get in on the passenger side to drive. Quite the shock to open the door and wonder where the steering wheel had gone. For anyone passing while I was metaphorically scratching my head, they must have wondered that anyone would have given me a license 😂

When in Hong Kong for business years ago, I could never get the hang of driving, so they gave me a driver and/or body guard. A Sikh, which is all they used for body guards in those days, and his name was Singh. I had him every time I went to Hong Kong. I always felt safe with him. They had a well deserved reputation.
He was one of the nicest people I had ever met. I found out later that he had taken a bullet for the owner of the company we were affiliated with. He made it and I am sure he and his family were well taken care of the rest of their lives.
I had a body guard because at that particular time, girlfriends, fiancee’s and/or wives of owner’s of large, prosperous semiconductor companies were being abducted for ransom. This was in late eighties, early nineties. I was engaged to my second husband then, a partner in a very prosperous semiconductor related company.
When in the states, I had a retired black ops helicopter pilot, secret service fella drive me around and protect me. when in North California for Conventions, conferences and business. He was really funny and made me laugh a lot. I also felt very safe with him.
They were interesting times with lots of memories.

Yes Intense, I have had a very interesting life and I do not regret one minute of it!
After I retired and came to Texas, we had a horse ranch and cattle. I had half my calves stolen from the pasture one year. They cut the locks we had on the gates. I was just about to wean them and brand them. I told the black ops guy, (we had become good friends with him and his wife) and he asked if I had someplace anywhere on my property he could land a helicopter and put him and some of his friends up for a couple of days while they looked for the rustler and my calves. I thought he was kidding me, but he was deadly serious. (He said there were countries he could not go to as a tourist because there were instructions to kill him if he went there.)
I said no, that would not be necessary as the Sheriff department was working on it.
Never did locate the calves. Took the loss, but I never lost another calf as I made sure word spread that I was carrying a Winchester 30 rifle and would be checking the pastures at any given time day or night! The sheriff said I had every right to do it too, because I had No Trespassing signs everywhere.
Yes, I have led a very fulfilling and interesting life. Hope you have a most wonderful weekend.

Moving sideways, I read a terrible but common story this week…
(In London , a Sikh restaurant owner had a sign which advertised that there was no halal meat served in his establishment. Muslims, a whole nest of them, showed up at his restaurant and started physically attacking him. Police showed up and arrested….HIM! I have yet to see any follow up, but if I do I will let you know. Never had anyone ASK for Halal, tho I had many over the years that looked/spoke as they would have been interested if I had it on the menu as such.
I actually did have some Grass Beef that I bought for myself (that was marked as Halal) I make burgers with on the grill.
Comes as frozen 4/5lb “chubs” & I make all 20lbs up & freeze. Occasionally I run out of beef as a topping & they get the Grass Beef. (got 3 of them right now in the deep freeze)
Grass Beef actually has flavor unlike the chubs of beef you get now, used to buy tri-tips from Sams Club & make my own ground beef cause it tastes like Steak then… like it used to way back when then it was actually ground round, chuck…. because that’s the cut of meat that was used to make it.
Stopped buying tri-tips when the cost difference got way too large to continue doing so & went to the Grass Beef for me personally.
There was a point during WuFlu I bought grass beef as it was CHEAPER than regular beef til the inflation caught up to the Grass Beef as well.
Back to the point…
Usually those people would just get either a cheese or vegetarian pizza.

I am always disturbed by these claims.
We share more genes with, pick a random animal, then we do with a parent. I only got 50% of my dad’s genes.
If we are 99.9% identical to the next human, how is it so easy to use that 0.1% to tell us apart with DNA tests?
BTW, the 50% and 99.9% are not necessarily contradictory, but then tests should show you and I are 99.9% identical. And I would be 99.95% the same as my dad.
Think of that. For every 1000 genes you randomly look at 999 are identical in all humans and only 1 can be used to tell us apart. Yet that is not how DNA testing is shown to work. Where are the tales of the Herculean task it was to winnow out all the handful of genes that differ from the mountainous pile of genes that don’t?

My sweet boy, KiKi, who died almost a year ago now, would play catch with me — like a dog.
I’d throw his “toy-toy” (a crumpled and knotted plastic bag) and he’d tear-off after it, sliding into walls along the way. Then he’d smell it, pick it up and carry it back to me, and we’d do that over and over again.
A friend who stayed over night saw us playing and thought it was so unique she took a video of me and Kiki playing.
My heart still breaks for that handsome, adorable, sweet, sweet, sweet boy.
Who can fathom the mind of a cat, Raven? It’s useless to even attempt it. Each one has his or her own personality, nothing more certain. I know your Kiki was a treasure. And I know even better that you miss him every day.
Last year a seemingly stray white cat ventured into our garage and fed on the dry food I leave out for itinerant passers by. It didn’t take long for him to venture into the open door, reconnaitre, then flit from one of our two bedrooms to another depending on his mood for long,.long naps on the respective beds. He was so docile and affectionate and would let me make a fuss of and groom him. Then after a few weeks of this, he disappeared and never returned. I figure he was somebody’s…I hope so. He was ours and not ours. More times than I care to admit, I think of him and miss his presence even more

Before my mom died she put her cat, Hunta, outside, never realizing she would not be there to let Hunta in again.
When my husband and I got to my parent’s home after mom died I looked for Hunta, but she was no where to be found.
We stayed there a few days and I kept expecting Hunta to return, but she didn’t and I was soon overtaken with grief. I’d lost my dad 40 days before my mom, then my mom, and I did not want to lose Hunta, too.
On the day we had to leave to go back to the cities and to work the following day I was so sad I couldn’t stand it. I felt lost.
I went into a quiet room and the Holy Spirit reminded me, like many times before, that I am not in control of anything on this hard rock. I bowed my head, literally opened my hands, and let Hunta go.
Then I silently thanked God for having given my parents such a wonderful cat, and I thanked Him, too, for watching over her no matter where she roamed. And I totally gave Hunta, her loss and my grief, over to Him and headed for the door to go home.
Then my husband yelled from the backdoor, “She’s here! Hunta’s here!”
My heart was full of joy and Hunta came to live with us and our 4 other cats.
But I always wondered where she’d been for those 4 – 5 days, knowing we were calling for her all the time.
Now I will always imagine she was at Betsy’s house, living a cat’s dream, being pampered and cared for, since not only had I just lost my mom, but she had lost her “Mom,” too.
Thanks for loving all the Hunta’s out there, Betsy, and all the other sweet souls reading this who do the same thing.

More reassuring is your, I shall call it, witnessing to God’s lovingkindness and grace when you let go and gave everything to Him. I cannot be amazed because I have experienced this on many occasions. I hope any who read your words who need to feel His presence but have not yet, will take heart and hope from them, dear friend.
You’ve reminded me of a poem I’ve kept for a long time. And funnily enough, I ran across it yesterday while I was looking for something else. I said to myself to mark it, because I never know when the time would arrive that Id like I’d like to leave for others… As for caring for whoever finds us? I could not do any less. (As an afterthought, the same happened to one of our most loved cats who just up and went into the Welsh hills one day. He was such a homebody we expected to see him at dinnertime, but no…nor the day after or the day after that. Seven days and so unlike him that we knew we’d seen the last of him.
Then on the right day we were working in the garden when I heard a familiar trill, turned,and saw him trotting up at speed. I know exactly what you were feeling when your husband shouted Hints was home…relief, joy, and overwhelming gratitude. There is no feeling like it 😘. He never told us where he had been…)

Maybe its the space/time spatial distortion but I’ve been having my share of fretfulness tonight, also. Earlier I had a little tax document organizing that I’d been putting off. It wasn’t all that difficult but I just had to force myself to get it done. But, now that it’s done, I can relax a bit. I’ll listen to some more music and then turn in. Now that my “chore” is done, I’ll most likely sleep soundly.
Little ‘Tink continues to be a marvelous, darlin’ little kitty. She really does look after me . . . She still has an ear-mite problem which I’ve found I can deal with by grooming her infected areas with a good flea-comb.
This is a now daily ritual—you should hear her purr when I brush under her chin! Be well, dear friend. Talk later. 🙂

Yeah…taxes. I’ve been putting off filling ours out, too. If I’d just do it!!! So that’s on the docket for this weekend. Poor Tink and her mites, bless her. Spring awakens more than the flowers, grass, and trees. Horrid things they are. Give her some lovin’ and “Sweet Girls” please from her Auntie Bet, dear friend. I love to hear her purr, which sometimes I am convinced I actually can 😌💕
“Taxes” are a particular challenge when you are dyslexic. Several years ago I found a friendly estate attorney who also will do my taxes for me. I just have to get off my butt and organize my tax docs for him. Fortunately he’s well accustomed to dealing with a client who can’t make change or do 2nd grade math. 🙂

Finally got off my butt last weekend and “did” taxes. The most arduous part is collecting all the pertinent material. I should do a better job during the year of filing and organizing – but I don’t. Sure I won’t ever. Resentment is such a fruitless emotion – nevertheless, I resent taxes!
BTW – don’t forget -a little diatomaceous earth rubbed in Tink’s ears really kills those suckers! (And is very safe)
Unfortunately, I put meds in ‘Tinks ears and the result was so traumatic for her that treating her with meds or anything in her ears doesn’t work. The daily brushing of the infected areas with a flea comb seems to work ok. When I check the infected areas under her chin and ears, the infestation is much less . . . so long as I brush her at least once a day. 🙂

Israel Update:
~About the Israeli strike on Iranian gas: Some things I can just know about my people, what they think, intend and can or can’t do. I will not respond to all the lies leveled at us I will just tell you exactly what happened. Take it or leave it.
Sequence of actions:
•The day before the attack Netanyahu was on the phone with Trump. He suggested that Israel will help about the Strait of Hormuz. I know it because he said so more than once.
•Then Israel made a strike on the Iranian gas site that provides most of the Iranian energy needs internally.
I saw the results of the strike and it was very measured. It was not intended to destroy the whole operation.
It was more of a message: “You mess with Hormuz you may lose your entire gas facility”.
•Iran took it very bad and retaliated with destroying a major oil complex in Qatar and a bit in the Saudi Arabia.
•Qatar got very angry and God knows what they told Trump.
•Trump gives them a sophisticated “lip service” and posts that “he didn’t know about the Israeli strike in advance and Israel will not do it again but if Iran will attack the oil again he will complete what Israel started and much worse.”
Why sophisticated ? 1. The good old Iranian trick of “It’s nothing to do with me, it was my proxy”.
2. A sharp threat to Iran. 3. Reassurance to Qatar.
I said before and I will repeat. This could not have been uncoordinated. This is a major escalation and there is no way we just did it without getting it agreed upon with the US. Israel is in an existential war, all we care about is winning this fight and securing our people. The suggestion from Sundance that this had something to do with “destroying our competitor of the natural gas market” is untrue and unfair with all the respect to Sundance. Iran is not a competitor to the Israeli gas market. We sell mainly to Egypt and planing on expanding to Europe. Markets that Iran can’t use due to sanctions. In fact if Iran goes free than they can become a competitor.
Now, I am hearing from more than one Israeli Official who knows, that this was coordinated.

Now to the real important part of it all. We can’t win this battle if the IRGC and Basij keep getting nice salaries. In fact in a war when it’s hard to make a living, being on this payroll is an advantage.
Most of their salaries came from oil sales so this is the reality.
~The Iranian blockade of the Strait of Hormuz: The oil that passes through the Strait is from Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Oman. 20-30% of Europe’s oil passes through through there. 55-65% of India’s oil pass through there, 85-95% Japan, 70-85% of South Korea, etc. Natural Gas export also pass through the Strait.
The traffic is virtually blocked but Iranian ships can still pass.
Saudi Arabia can still export through a pipeline to the Red Sea. But only 50-70% of what they have.
UAE also has a pipeline that can transport some 50-60% of its oil.
Qatar and Kuwait have no pipelines. 85-90% of Iraqi oil goes through the Strait too and is blocked. Bahrain’s oil is blocked with no alternative route.
The US pulled its oil reserves. It’s mainly for the US but also for others. Others also have their own reserves too. But you can’t count on reserves forever. The US also increases manufacturing of oil. But it’s limited in scope. In other words the time is not good on this subject. Once oil prices spike and it’s started, many other commodities go up too because everything depends on gas. We have a potential recession and inflation.
The Midterm is 3 Nov. We have 7.5 months. I think that there is enough time to resolve things way sooner and if there is a good outcome from the war it can even help Trump. But a potential recession must be prevented.
~Marines (a couple of thousands) are on the way. It will take over a week to arrive. The rumor is that they may take over the main oil Island of Iran. Today there was a heavy American bombing at an area that could potentially enable Marines to land there. I don’t think that Trump is going to be intimidated by the Iranians.
Yesterday he posted a link to an article that talks about completing this Operation and not cutting it short.
I don’t know if we will see boots on the ground, it depends on estimates that Trump gets from his Intel.
It’s not as simple as the narrative and slogan of “never boots on the ground”. This is a serious decision and it may be that the risk Vs benefit assessment suggests to do it. It may be the breakpoint of the regime.
~BOOM: The head of Intel of the Basij in Teheran was assassinated by Israel. Related to suppression of protests.
~BOOM: The Speaker of the IRGC was assasinated. The Propaganda. This is a psychological pressure because he is in the awareness of the public. IDF work.

But there is criticism in Israel as it is in contrast to statements from the Govenment about decrease in their capabilities. No casualties today thanks God. Note that there was a weather problem that may have enabled them to increase the attacks.
~A Politico survey shows about 80% of MAGA support the Israeli American Operation. I doubt if it’s accurate but it does tell me that there is a quiet majority in MAGA. This is the second poll this week that shows this support.
~Trump in a harsh post about NATO. Calling them “cowards”. “Didn’t help and won’t help but complain of oil prices”. He says that “We will remember”. A really angry tone.
~The UK approved for the US to use its bases. Iran is threatening the UK to about it.
~Since Hezbollah joined Iran in the attacks: 2,000 targets were attacked in Lebanon of which 120 headquarters destroyed and about 100 munition storages and 130 launchers.
Total killed in Lebanon 1,021 and 2,641 injured. 60% of those who were killed are combatants.
About 600 terrorists killed. 220 from the elite Radwan Unit, 150 from logistics and storages,
2 Commanders of the level equivalent to General, 4 of the level of Brigadier Generals, 8 of a level equivalent to Colonel, 22 of the level of Battalion Commanders.
~The IDF is expanding operations in Lebanon and has now destroyed more of the bridges over the Litani River. This isolates South Lebanon’s buffer area that Israel would like to create.
~Iran published a message from the new Supreme Leader. Yet nobody saw him for a while. There are rumors of him being badly wounded and maybe dead. But we don’t know. He may be more radical than his father so Israel will not let him survive.
~The Trump Administration is suing Harvard for failure to protect Jewish and Israeli students against hostility and discrimination.
~Another strike on Basij terrorists in Teheran. Report of 13 killed. Note that there are many more daily and now not only in Teheran. This must be the most under-reported operation.
~Dozens of rockets from Hezbollah to Israel. Note that a fall of Iran will result in a crush of Hezbollah they get paid from Iran and weaponized. This may be why Israel is not in a rush about them. They cause more damage than casualties. Many of what they fire land in open spaces.
~The US is lifting oil sanctions off Iran temporarily. I didn’t analyze it yet but it appears to be an effort to lower oil prices globally.

Can I ask a question? I am hearing rumblings about the Church of the Holy Sepulchre being closed to the public. I know the Western Wall is, too. Holy Week is happening soon, and the Patriarch of Jerusalem is supposed to go into the Sepulchre and come out with the Holy Fire but can’t because of the closure. This is an Orthodox Christian practice, but the people I’m hearing this from are not. They are evangelical or other Christians. Doesn’t seem to make a difference; they’re upset.
Do you think these places will open back up soon? The closure of the Holy Sepulchre is being used by the anti-Israel crowd as ammo against Israel. I saw that a cluster bomb hit the area yesterday, so I don’t have high hopes.

Thanks. I am not aware of the specifics but we are under a rain of ballistic missiles. There are strict rules against gatherings. Some places it’s maximum 50 and some 30. Also depending on access to close safe shelters available it could be too dangerous to gather.
In the past few days there was a hit in the Old City of Jerusalem very close to the Temple Mount which is also close to the holy churches. Days earlier a shrapnel actually fell on the roof of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. It was minor. You can see the image on the Telegram channel of Amir Tsarfati.
Any decision related is security based only. God help us if we had the place take a direct hit when it is full of people.

Your latest sequence of actions provides the logical and grounded framework that the cynical narrative from the Conservative Treehouse completely lacks. The claim from Sundance and Mrs. Sunshine that Israel struck the South Pars field to diminish a competitor is not only unfair, it is economically illiterate.
As you pointed out, Iran is under heavy sanctions and isn’t even a participant in the markets Israel serves, such as Egypt and Europe. This isn’t about market share; it’s about regime stability. By targeting the gas that fuels 80 to 90 percent of Iran’s domestic electricity and its industrial defense base, the USA and Israel are pulling the plug on the IRGC’s ability to govern and suppress its own people. Further one would be naïve to ascertain that the US was unaware, and purposefully blind to ignore world wide news to the contrary.
If this was a one-off it I would let it slide, however at the risk of being banned to the lower branches of the Treehouse I would point out that the continued anti-Israel bias and total lack of accountability at CTH is frustrating.
We are all used to the bias of the legacy media, but unlike ABC or NBC, Sundance never makes a retraction when he is proven wrong. Whether it is the gas market theory or the repeated claims that Israel is a rogue actor sabotaging the U.S., once he sets a narrative, it unfortunately becomes an immutable article of faith, creating a blind following in comment section.
While the professed attempt may claim an illusion to MAGA it is in the bigger picture far from it. I wish that one day both he and Mrs Sunshine could espouse on their anti- Israel feelings, so we could garner a better understanding of what motivates them, instead of the often not so subtle digs to sway public opinion against Israel.

So there is this frame of mind that has spread in MAGA, for example Bannon (who I used to like a while back), has assigned Israeli invasions to South Lebanon to “The Greater Israel motivation”. The idea that we want to expand for religious motives. The only reasons for operations in Lebanon are security motivated. The Greater Israel group in Israel is very small and fringe and has nothing to do with anything.
Another example is marginalizing the supporters of Israel as “Israel First” and therefore “anti American. So people like Mark Levin and Shapiro became “the enemy”. If you ask me there is hardly any conflict between Israel First and America First. It’s hard for me to see something sensible that is good for Israel and bad for America or something that is good for America and bad for Israel. I mean you can say ‘Turkey relations are better than Israel relations” but do you really want to align with The Muslim Brotherhood?
Anyways, I still hope I could have a dialogue with Sundance. I think he is a good man who wishes well for America and so do I.

Couldn’t agree more. I had to switch providers this year because my former plan dropped all of my doctors. Trying to wade through all of changes is mind-boggling causing much anxiety. All this when you are at an age that doesn’t need more complication.
One fact that convinced me to stay with “original” Medicare and not get an Advantage plan is that if you travel to another state, you may or may not be covered if you have an Advantage plan. You will be covered with the original, because Medicare “Gap” coverage is the same in all 50 states.
When you first get on Medicare, you cannot be rated, you must be accepted no matter your state of health. If you hop on and off of original/Advantage, I am pretty sure they will rate you going from original to Advantage, and possibly also from Advantage to original. That gets a bit complicated.
With Advantage plans, after an event, they can rate you, and I think the new annual premium they impose is about $6700. So a costly surgery will be paid for in full, but thereafter there is a premium. I attended a lunch where an insurance company was trying to enroll people on their Advantage plan. They presented a case of a woman under their plan who had a costly hospital stay, unfortunately died, and whose bill was paid in full, much to relief of her family/estate. What they failed to mention was that had she lived, she would incur the premium, because they would rate her.
You have to ask yourself why it is worth it for Medicare to hand over part of its coverage to private insurance companies. They must be saving money by doing this.

Both of us worked in the medical industrial complex all our work lives. I chose original Medicare and a B supp and D supp, because it steams my clams to ask for permission to go where I choose for care. Costs me a fortune. But I have had the same doc for almost 40 years and I’m keeping him!
And, speaking of steaming my clams, one pet peeve is those who would conflate Medicare with Medicaid. One is earned, the other is welfare.

I had heard of people that went with a Medicare ‘advantage’ plan (to pay for gym, vision, dental etc.)
but later on wanted to switch to Medigap Part G, or other.
It was more than a phone call, or website mouse click.
There was A LOT of scrutiny, questions, documentation requested … very time consuming. ( making a change after the initial open enrollment, reduces the quality of life).
Yet, the information that is consistently available to make the initial best decision during Medicare sign up,
is illusive and / or overwhelming with so many health insurance alternatives.
Plan G is Plan G with all health insurance companies,
but, what happens if one wants to make a change (or has a change in life event)
is mysterious, and as such, is a concern. [ a concern that people do not want to deal with, (mental anguish, uncertainty) while having a life change event ]
Was there a reason, a not good motivation, that a United Health Care (AARP affiliated) employee, was shot from behind?
( and the shooter is correctly in jail, awaiting trial… )
I wonder if there is an AMAC affiliated Health Insurance company that works with Medicare?

Sit Rep- it’s strikes me as ironic that a few days ago I was posting about adversity and growing stronger and then two days ago I have a meltdown over the consequences of my actions. Yesterday was another sh*t sandwich given to me because a paint job I was to start this week is now delayed because the client didn’t believe me when I told him the most expensive cost would be the paint. I charge by the hour, witch is not usually how they do things here, most charge by the day. I told him quite simply the cheaper the paint the longer it takes to do the job. When we went to Home Depot and he saw the prices, he puked.
Today will be a good day for me I believe, in have been invited to a friend’s house for a barbecue and the weather will be gorgeous, 27° C and sunny skies.
The GiveSendGo option is quickly looking to be a bust, I have one more friend to approach about this. He is out if town at the moment due to a death in the family, when he returns I will sit him down and make my proposal to him.

COMMENTARY FOR JOHN 3:15
Christ’s discourse with Nicodemus. (1-21) The baptism of John of Christ John’s testimony. (22-36)
1-8 Nicodemus was afraid, or ashamed to be seen with Christ, therefore came in the night. When religion is out of fashion, there are many Nicodemites. But though he came by night, Jesus bid him welcome, and hereby taught us to encourage good beginnings, although weak. And though now he came by night, yet afterward he owned Christ publicly. He did not talk with Christ about state affairs, though he was a ruler, but about the concerns of his own soul and its salvation, and went at once to them. Our Saviour spoke of the necessity and nature of regeneration or the new birth, and at once directed Nicodemus to the source of holiness of the heart. Birth is the beginning of life; to be born again, is to begin to live anew, as those who have lived much amiss, or to little purpose. We must have a new nature, new principles, new affections, new aims. By our first birth we were corrupt, shapen in sin; therefore we must be made new creatures. No stronger expression could have been chosen to signify a great and most remarkable change of state and character. We must be entirely different from what we were before, as that which begins to be at any time, is not, and cannot be the same with that which was before. This new birth is from heaven, ch. #1:13|, and its tendency is to heaven. It is a great change made in the heart of a sinner, by the power of the Holy Spirit. It means that something is done in us, and for us, which we cannot do for ourselves. Something is wrong, whereby such a life begins as shall last for ever. We cannot otherwise expect any benefit by Christ; it is necessary to our happiness here and hereafter. What Christ speak, Nicodemus misunderstood, as if there had been no other way of regenerating and new-moulding an immortal soul, than by new-framing the body. But he acknowledged his ignorance, which shows a desire to be better informed. It is then further explained by the Lord Jesus. He shows the Author of this blessed change. It is not wrought by any wisdom or power of our own, but by the power of the blessed Spirit. We are shapen in iniquity, which makes it necessary that our nature be changed. We are not to marvel at this; for, when we consider the holiness of God, the depravity of our nature, and the happiness set before us, we shall not think it strange that so much stress is laid upon this. The regenerating work of the Holy Spirit is compared to water. It is also probable that Christ had reference to the ordinance of baptism. Not that all those, and those only, that are baptized, are saved; but without that new birth which is wrought by the Spirit, and signified by baptism, none shall be subjects of the kingdom of heaven. The same word signifies both the wind and the Spirit. The wind bloweth where it listeth for us; God directs it. The Spirit sends his influences where, and when, on whom, and in what measure and degree, he pleases. Though the causes are hidden, the effects are plain, when the soul is brought to mourn for sin, and to breathe after Christ. Christ’s stating of the doctrine and the necessity of regeneration, it should seem, made it not clearer to Nicodemus. Thus the things of the Spirit of God are foolishness to the natural man. Many think that cannot be proved, which they cannot believe. Christ’s discourse of gospel truths, ver. #11-13|, shows the folly of those who make these things strange unto them; and it recommends us to search them out. Jesus Christ is every way able to reveal the will of God to us; for he came down from heaven, and yet is in heaven. We have here a notice of Christ’s two distinct natures in one person, so that while he is the Son of man, yet he is in heaven. God is the “HE THAT IS,” and heaven is the dwelling-place of his holiness. The knowledge of this must be from above, and can be received by faith alone. Jesus Christ came to save us by healing us, as the children of Israel, stung with fiery serpents, were cured and lived by looking up to the brazen serpent, #Nu 21:6-9|. In this observe the deadly and destructive nature of sin. Ask awakened consciences, ask damned sinners, they will tell you, that how charming soever the allurements of sin may be, at the last it bites like a serpent. See the powerful remedy against this fatal malady. Christ is plainly set forth to us in the gospel. He whom we offended is our Peace, and the way of applying for a cure is by believing. If any so far slight either their disease by sin, or the method of cure by Christ, as not to receive Christ upon his own terms, their ruin is upon their own heads. He has said, Look and be saved, look and live; lift up the eyes of your faith to Christ crucified. And until we have grace to do this, we shall not be cured, but still are wounded with the stings of Satan, and in a dying state. Jesus Christ came to save us by pardoning us, that we might not die by the sentence of the law. Here is gospel, good news indeed. Here is God’s love in giving his Son for the world. God so loved the world; so really, so richly. Behold and wonder, that the great God should love such a worthless world! Here, also, is the great gospel duty, to believe in Jesus Christ. God having given him to be our Prophet, Priest, and King, we must give up ourselves to be ruled, and taught, and saved by him. And here is the great gospel benefit, that whoever believes in Christ, shall not perish, but shall have everlasting life. God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, and so saving it. It could not be saved, but through him; there is no salvation in any other. From all this is shown the happiness of true believers; he that believeth in Christ is not condemned. Though he has been a great sinner, yet he is not dealt with according to what his sins deserve.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
