Israel Update
~Iran officially announced the new Supreme Leader: the son of Ali Khamenei, Mojtaba Khamenei. 
A real radical. He is in hiding—for a good reason.

~Oil: A barrel rose to over $100. Trump posted that it will go down rapidly after the nuclear threat is removed, and that it is a small price to pay compared to the importance of the mission.

~A few more launches from Iran to Israel per day. All intercepted or missed, aside from one cluster bomb over Tel Aviv. One person badly wounded, one moderately injured, and three lightly injured. Now I see another cluster bomb over another central city with one person lightly wounded. Six sites of damage in the city because it is a split warhead.

Note: Split warheads are less dangerous than one huge direct hit, which can be devastating.

~Dozens of rockets from Lebanon in the last day. I don’t know if it is improvements to Iron Dome, luck, God, or all of the above—but no injuries. Thank God.

~The U.S. Secretary of War on 60 Minutes on CBS said that it has only begun and that the U.S. will determine the conditions of their surrender. He is sure they will have to surrender.

~A seventh American soldier was killed. He was killed in Saudi Arabia. May God bless his soul and help his family and friends.

~Two IDF soldiers were killed in Lebanon by an anti-tank missile. We had about six injured a few days ago.

~The IDF attacked the headquarters of the Iranian Air Force in Tehran. From there they also commanded ballistic missile operations and the drones. I am hearing that soldiers on the ground with the missiles are operating independently without communication lines to command.

~The IDF attacked the Space Center and Command. Iranian satellites are now “orphaned.” 
They had been watching over Israel and the area. No more.

~Some 50 munitions and weapons bunkers were destroyed that were used by the Basij, the force used to suppress protests, etc. It was at a specific location.

~The IDF eliminated five IRGC commanders in a hotel in Beirut. Precision—a drone into a specific room.

~Chief of Staff: “It will take a long time. It will take what it takes. But this war will determine the security and future of the nation for decades to come.”   Note: He is not talking only about Iran. He is talking about the war that started on 10/7 and is still going on—Lebanon, Gaza, Iran, etc.

~IDF: More than 100 attacks in Lebanon in the past 24 hours, targeting munitions and infrastructure.

~IDF: The Head of the Military Office of the Supreme Leader of Iran was eliminated—one of the highest positions in the Iranian security establishment.

~2 killed and 12 wounded in Saudi Arabia in a direct hit on a neighborhood.

~32 injured in a drone attack in Bahrain.

~Since it was just International Women’s Day, I’ll mention that we have 30 women pilots and navigators in active combat over Iran. Love and prayers for their safety.  

~CENTCOM is warning the Iranians that Iran is now launching missiles from civilian neighborhoods 
(like Hamas), and “we can’t guarantee your safety,” suggesting people stay away from areas of action.

~Trump says that the next Iranian leader must be approved by him or he will not survive.

~A week of fighting Hezbollah: over 600 targets attacked, 200 terrorists killed, and 27 waves of attacks in Beirut.

Note: Israel needs to decide whether to enter Lebanon seriously and clear the buffer zone, or continue degrading their capabilities and count on Iran collapsing to weaken them further and get to a point that Lebanon will be able and willing to disarm them.  

Note that they also manufacture weapons and munitions locally—it is not all from Iran. Those sites are also being attacked as much as their locations are known.

~UAE is saying that 1,400 ballistic missiles and drones were fired at them.
Note that the Gulf states, although constantly under attack, are not retaliating. Real weakness.

~Parts of Tehran are experiencing black skies and black rain—dangerous pollution from burning oil. 
Some people are walking with face masks.

~NYT reports that 14 people were killed in the Gulf states since the beginning—all with foreign passports.
Note: This is not a lot considering the number of attacks. Maybe this is why they don’t retaliate.
Revenge is strong in the Arab world, but there are no citizens killed.

~IDF attacked over 400 targets in Iran in the past 24 hours. There was another wave a couple of hours ago.  

~A report of Israeli special forces who landed in Lebanon and a fight is ongoing. No data yet on what exactly is happening. My prayers for our soldiers.

I would like to ask Admin, Menagerie or other knowledgeable Catholics here to tell me what is meant by the term independent Catholic Church in the context of the Church in China. Is that like the stand-alone congregations we see here in the states among protestant worshipers?

It’s a term I heard used in the interview I’ve linked below, and it came up as part of the discussion of the very troubling agreement of the Vatican to allow the CCP to select a Catholic bishop.

Catholics and Protestants alike are being increasingly persecuted by the Chinese government, and this interview presents a chilling picture of how that persecution has accelerated and intensified in recent years.

There is now ample documentation of the widespread, lucrative and growing practice of forced organ harvesting in Communist China, and the increasing number of people now being targeted and confined for that purpose. It sounds as though Christians, like the Uyghars and Falun Gong before them, may very well have become a targeted group.

Home churches are specifically being heavily targeted, with church leaders and members often brutally tortured, imprisoned and made to disappear. I’m wondering if the term independent Catholic Church is synonymous with home church.

Of the Orthodox Christian Palestinian people whom I have met, it became obvious, without their telling me so, that their families had been Baptized during the days of the Holy Apostles. COMMENTARY FOR JOHN 1:12

The apostle and evangelist, John, seems to have been the youngest of the twelve. He was especially favoured with our Lord’s regard and confidence, so as to be spoken of as the disciple whom Jesus loved. He was very sincerely attached to his Master. He exercised his ministry at Jerusalem with much success, and outlived the destruction of that city, agreeably to Christ’s prediction, ch. #21:22|. History relates that after the death of Christ’s mother, John resided chiefly at Ephesus. Towards the close of Domitian’s reign he was banished to the isle of Patmos, where he wrote his Revelation. On the accession of Nerva, he was set at liberty, and returned to Ephesus, where it is thought he wrote his Gospel and Epistles, about A. D. 97, and died soon after. The design of this Gospel appears to be to convey to the Christian world, just notions of the real nature, office, and character of that Divine Teacher, who came to instruct and to redeem mankind. For this purpose, John was directed to select for his narrative, those passages of our Saviour’s life, which most clearly displayed his Divine power and authority; and those of his discourses, in which he spake most plainly of his own nature, and of the power of his death, as an atonement for the sins of the world. By omitting, or only briefly mentioning, the events recorded by the other evangelists, John gave testimony that their narratives are true, and left room for the doctrinal statements already mentioned, and for particulars omitted in the other Gospels, many of which are exceedingly important.The Divinity of Christ. (1-5) His Divine and human nature. (6-14) John the Baptist’s testimony to Christ. (15-18) John’s public testimony concerning Christ. (19-28) Other testimonies of John concerning Christ. 6-14 John the Baptist came to bear witness concerning Jesus. Nothing more fully shows the darkness of men’s minds, than that when the Light had appeared, there needed a witness to call attention to it. Christ was the true Light; that great Light which deserves to be called so. By his Spirit and grace he enlightens all that are enlightened to salvation; and those that are not enlightened by him, perish in darkness. Christ was in the world when he took our nature upon him, and dwelt among us. The Son of the Highest was here in this lower world. He was in the world, but not of it. He came to save a lost world, because it was a world of his own making. Yet the world knew him not. When he comes as a Judge, the world shall know him. Many say that they are Christ’s own, yet do not receive him, because they will not part with their sins, nor have him to reign over them. All the children of God are born again. This new birth is through the word of God as the means, #1Pe 1:23|, and by the Spirit of God as the Author. By his Divine presence Christ always was in the world. But now that the fulness of time was come, he was, after another manner, God manifested in the flesh. But observe the beams of his Divine glory, which darted through this veil of flesh. Men discover their weaknesses to those most familiar with them, but it was not so with Christ; those most intimate with him saw most of his glory. Although he was in the form of a servant, as to outward circumstances, yet, in respect of graces, his form was like the Son of God His Divine glory appeared in the holiness of his doctrine, and in his miracles. He was full of grace, fully acceptable to his Father, therefore qualified to plead for us; and full of truth, fully aware of the things he was to reveal.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

If Iran was a normal country where the government was concerned about its own citizens why would it have found it necessary to spend billions on a huge quantity of sophisticated arms? This while the water system which had been built by Jews before 1979 was crumbling because of lack of maintenance and huge wastage in inefficient agriculture where again the Jews would have helped if they had not been hostile towards Israel.
