Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 46 of the 2nd year of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

I see that a Judge has ordered Trump to pay back $130 bn in tariffs. To whom is he to pay back? The people who paid the tariffs were consumers not the companies who collected the revenue.
My simple solution would be to insist the companies who collected the tariffs are to identify the customers who paid the tariffs, contact the payers and collect their financial details so the US treasury can directly pay back the customers. Not a cent to the actual companies. I would insist on an horrific level of bureaucratic effort be imposed on those companies that brought the case. And I wouldn’t give them 1 cent. Pay the customers who paid the tariff directly.

The Courts have no executive power. Their rulings can be ignored.
While I like the sentiment, and it’s true that NO court has executive power, from a practical standpoint, the Executive Branch respects their rulings.
In this case, that ruling will be appealed, so it’s not over yet.
Courts do not have executive power. Nor do they have legislative spending appropriations power.
The court’s rationale for ruling to declare the tariffs illegal was that Congress, not the President has the power to impose duties and imposts by legislation. Following their logic they should also believe that only Congress, not the President has power to take moneys from the US Treasury and spend them by passing an appropriations bill, signed by the President.
The tariff money all went into the US Treasury.
The only way it can come back out, to “repay” people or for other purposes, would be for both Houses of Congress to pass a spending bill to pay out that money. The President would need to sign such a bill or else Congress would have to get a supermajority to override the veto. Courts spend money out of the Treasury unilaterally.
So put the matter to Congress. If they pass an appropriations bill flushing hundreds of billions of dollars down the drain and if the President signs it, then so be it. If not, then Congress has also registered its decision not to do that.
Let’s see how many Congress-critters will vote to take away hundreds of billions of dollars from the American taxpayer and hand it to foreign countries who have been ripping us off. Let them do that during an election year. My hunch is not too many. And therefore the money already collected will stay in the Treasury.
Tell the judge to go to hell, they do not have any authority over tariffs.

That will likely be appealed.

No, the consumers did not pay the tariffs. The consumers paid the retailers. The retailers paid the wholesalers. The wholesalers paid the importers. The importers likely split the cost of tariffs with the manufacturers.
Yes, repaying the importers would be a windfall to the importers who paid the tariff but then shared the expense with multiple parties. An accounting from every litigant demanding a refund needs to provide a money trail down to each individual consumer who paid a higher price and suppliers who received a lower price-to cover the expense.
The idea that the treasury should return the money is an absurdity as it would not restore the party claiming damages but be like awarding a huge jackpot to one party while ignoring those most impacted, since costs and sales prices were adjusted.
It is more messy than you suggest as refunds should be due to every party that incurred a price change directly due to the tariff. What about all the other factors impacting price fluctuations? Would companies be able to sue for changes in the money supply that distort import prices?
What of the impact of taxation on profits? Sales taxes, paid by consumers, are actually called a Retailer’s Occupation Tax and impact local business’ sales- particularly where avoidance is easy and the amount significant- cigarettes, gas, large ticket items.
There is no shortage of instances where one party is unfairly disadvantaged by a tax. Employment tax and corporate income taxes are passed along to the consumer as are tax free benefits. Think of the compliance tax-paid to the special interests of accountants. Or the avoidance and deferral tax paid to financial advisors. These are indirect costs of the income tax that produce nothing but pencil pushing and paper shuffling.
It was primarily tax and regulation avoidance that cost American workers their jobs. Property tax is often the reason for businesses to relocate. Establishing a tariff system to repeal the income tax would be a huge step in restoring justice to the American
worker.
Many consumers are bitching about tariffs being a tax, but never bitch about the other factors affecting price.

At the tail end of a tariff is the Consumer. They (we) pay the tariffs through higher prices of the items purchased affected by the tarriff.

That is (or should be) the accepted understanding. These demands are coming from parcel shippers. I posit that in order to favor non-US counties, the global parcel shippers (Blackrock corporations) have been absorbing the cost of the tariffs or maybe even, perhaps, benefiting from from US regulations designed to reduce/avoid tariffs on imports to the US.
I buy various vehicle restoration parts used, NOS and replicas in the $50 – $500 price range. Over the last few years more and more parts I need shipped via FedEx, DHL and in partnership w/USPS were getting here sooner without US customs delays and that that fewer invoices were listing a separate tariff charge.
Delivered prices on eBay (worldwide sources), Alibaba/AliExpress (China/Asia), have been getting reasonable over the last few years even with international shipping,. More and more, I get the same hard-to-find parts exported from Canada/overseas competitive with US seller prices (shipping included). (Japan btw is still too expensive for me).
Could it be that that US regulations favoring foreign countries allowed the parcel shippers to build tariff charges into the shipping costs? That might explain them asking for the money back if ,for example, they’d built a 5% customs fee into their shipping fees but when Trump bumped it to 15%. they had to eat the difference. Now they want it back?

This will an interesting feeding frenzy. You have the exporters, importers, wholesalers, retailers and the consumers all who will want a piece of this pie. The exporter will say we paid $X due to tariffs, imports $X, etc. At the end of the day don’t be surprised if their total claimed payments are 2 or 3 times the total in tariffs collected. These players will then be pitted one against the other. What will come out is the amount paid by the consumer is minimal – the only way the upstream players can maximize their compensation. The administration and its attorneys in court must demand an accurate vetting of all claims before any refunds are processed. Will take months, long enough for the new tariffs to generate significant revenue and for some clarity on the actual impact and benefit of the program.

Infrared is light adjacent. We can’t see it with our eyes, but it behaves like light. You can make an infrared beam, but it won’t seek out anything, just go in a straight line.
Heat seeking things tend to use infrared to see what is hot. That is because things give off infrared, and the hotter they are the more infrared they give off.
Even before Space Force, we have deployed satellites with sensors to spot missile launches via the intense signs given off by rocket engines. You want to know if the bombs are coming.
That would have become part of Space Force. The key now is to get that information to defense forces in a timely matter so that some weapon can shoot the missile down.
Maybe that shootdown could be with a beam. Like the lasers Israel has used. Maybe even an infrared beam could be used. (I have no solid evidence one exists, but just about any light like beam could be used.)
But the shoot down will likely be a THAAD or a Patriot. Both of which use radar to guide them.

There had been 6 or 8 back in Oct but these 3 are the only ones I’m seeing now.

Truli, when we had to catch feral kittens, we bought one of those nets with a long handle used for. bringing fish in. Those babies were just too quick for us. Suffice it to say it made the job easier.

If you want to catch feral kittens get Gerber baby food #2, chicken flavor. and put it on your finger. Sit quietly near where they are lurking and they will come lick it off from your hand. It is delicious to the kitties. In a few days they will let you touch them and tame them up in no time.

We live across the street from a church, where people think it’s appropriate to just drop off dogs and cats..irritating, to say the least. Is it really so hard to take the animals to a shelter, where they may be adopted out.
Jeanine, my retirement volunteer job is helping my vet by cleaning and doing whatever tasks need to be done. (She has a small practice she runs by herself after her co-owner passed from breast cancer, so can’t afford a cleaning service.) I was astounded by the amount of abandoned dogs and cats left in boxes by her door. There were so many she put up a sign saying all abandoned animals would be euthanized. I’m with you, too many pet owners should never be allowed to have pets.
I hate for the government to be involved in anything but in the case of mistreated animals is one thing I dont mind. Maybe if yearly license and proof of vet care were a requirement to own a pet as well as breed pets it would solve some of the issues.
One year we had a cat show up and have her kittens down in the wall of the upstairs of our garage. I waited to take momma and kittens to the shelter until they were big enough to be weaned from the momma. Broke my heart to take them, but we can’t keep all those cats.
If you are frm the area I think you are there is the Cat Coalition who deals with dumped cats. There is a problem not so much with dumped cats but just wild cats whom they have spade neutered.

I don’t trust them and WalMart lost me as a customer this past Christmas with their bs customer service. Stole my gift card present, spent it before it was shipped and passed me around to broken English speakers promising me a refund I never received! We need USA based non political based dei or gender bender stores to open, not more of the same!
In case no one is noticing….they are slowly and quietly getting rid of customer service to all AI which rarely solves real problems.
I haven’t shopped at Target since they declared many years ago that law abiding citizens carrying concealed were not welcome in their stores.

I can get $10 put on a MasterCard each month if I exercise for at least 30 minutes, ten days per month. Some months I only put in eight days, so miss out on the ten bucks. Some months I put in 12 days. It’s an honor system so there’s definitely room for fraudulent reporting by the insured.
I can also get $15 put on that card if I have an “Annuel Wellness Visit.” Both my PCP and I agree this is a waste of our time, given how often I’m in his office throughout the year. Not to mention I resent being asked to draw a clock face indicating 8:20!
Talking about waste ….but their insistence on all these test ….they don’t even wait for your agreement they just make you an appointment to have test or send the colon test to your house. They make the PCP call to get you in for a wellness test which I respond that I will make an appointment if I think I need one. I would say no. Your medicare which is part of your Social Security benefit payments is already taxed again after a certain amount, I believe after $26,000.. I know of the benefits but dont take advantage because of the brand restrictions. Do take advantage of the Free gym membership. When there is a grey area always take advantage of it, but to my understanding this is cut and dry, not taxed separately.

Many conservatives have told me I’m wrong about Tucker Carlson. They insist I “misunderstand” him and that I’m mistaken about President Trump’s opinions of him. According to these people, President Trump secretly admires Tucker but is hiding it from the public.
Today, however, President Trump made his position unmistakably clear: (Truth Social)
That statement is about as direct as it gets.
“Trump Kicks Tucker Carlson Out of MAGA after talker’s Iran war criticism: “Lost his way.”
Lee Smith recently wrote an excellent article about the rise of so-called influencers who claim to represent the MAGA movement while actively working to divide it. Tucker Carlson, Smith argues, is among them.
In my view, so is Megyn Kelly, Matt Walsh, Steve Bannon, Candace Owens, Alex Jones, Mike Cernovich, Nick Fuentes and countless others.
Polls show that Republican support for President Trump’s Iranian campaign is over 80 percent. Despite that overwhelming support, fake MAGA influencers keep telling voters that the MAGA movement is deeply divided over the issue. NO, WE ARE NOT.
Some critics claim that Trump—and by extension the United States—is being dragged into war on behalf of Israel and that Trump is just a mindless puppet of Bibi Netanyahu.
Tucker Carlson has called Trump’s Iran campaign “absolutely disgusting and evil.” A few years ago Tucker said the opposite.
Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly has argued that the conflict is “clearly Israel’s war” and also suggested that Israel has pushed the United States into it.
Others claim “confusion” about why Iran has “suddenly” become such a central focus for Trump. Huh?
Podcaster Matt Walsh, for example, recently argued that support for Trump’s Iran policy is “astro-turfed.” Writing on X, Walsh complained: “I can’t take the gaslighting. Conservatives are now running around saying ‘Iran has been waging war on us for 47 years.’ Okay then why didn’t any of you call for an attack on Iran until now?”
But the historical record tells another story.
Iran has been waging a persistent campaign against Americans, U.S. interests, and our allies since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. What’s new today isn’t the threat—it’s that past American leaders refused to confront it directly.
Donald Trump, by contrast, has been warning about Iran for decades and he’s the first president to actually do something about it!

In short, Trump’s position on Iran has been consistent for over four decades. He has never wavered.
Given that history, it’s hard to believe figures like Tucker, Kelly, and Walsh are suddenly unaware of Trump’s longstanding views on Iran. These are seasoned observers of American politics who pride themselves on understanding the conservative movement. The real question, then, isn’t whether they know—it’s why they pretend not to.

But then there is a sizeable hole in the logic too. I wish I could show the Tim Hartman cartoon included in the link. It shows 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, & 46 all harping on Iran and 47 saying Okay. 45 is missing in both the article’s logic and in the cartoon.
It also discards the influence of these people on helping Trump win three elections. While they do ride coat tails and profit, they also pitched in. Take Bannon the Betrayer. He has always been running his own games. But even after trying to destroy Trump, he kept coming back to help Trump win.
As these people divide themselves from MAGA, it is important to remember that they once were MAGA and helped lead us.
The author is right about Trump’s past. Trump has been speaking out against Iran even in 39’s presidency. The cartoon could be redrawn with Trump statements against Iran between all the President’s statements. Even as 45, Trump spoke out. And he killed that Terrorist leader.
