Israel Update
I want to start with a thank you. Thank you for the many good safety wishes.
I was also surprised to see about 50 likes on the last update despite its length. I’m pleased to see that you’re not shallow and that you appreciate knowledge.
Iran:
~ Israel continued destroying infrastructure related to suppressing a revolution: many police stations, Basij headquarters, and other forces are used to crush protests.
~ There was a drone attack on the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia. The site caught fire, but no one was there.
~A few other US soldiers died, from the same deadly attack that previously killed three.
The American death toll is now at six. Trump just said the response to the dead Americans and the embassy attack is coming very soon.
~ There were several attacks on U.S. bases in Iraq and also on a base in Jordan. No known casualties.
~ Iran is attacking eight countries, insane: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Israel, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Iraq. In addition, Cyprus was also attacked. Some think it was Hezbollah, but the British base there was attacked several times.
Now, Sundance posted something asking “why?”
I agree with him that the scale and spread of these attacks were not predictable.
We just saw a key Saudi oil rig on fire. The UAE also had a rig on fire and Qatar also took significant hits today and had to freeze oil production and shipping. I explained this before, but I’ll explain again more clearly. The explanation is complex and made up of several factors:
• They are smart and understand American politics better than most imagine. Raising oil prices is a pressure point against Trump. One of their top figures said yesterday that the idea they want to negotiate is false and that Trump is not being “America First.” Hard to believe, but this is aimed at the MAGA base.
• They have many short-range missiles and fewer long-range ones, so they have more available munitions for nearby countries.
• Making the Middle East burn is another pressure point against Trump and his base.
• They want to drag the war out, since it’s their home field and harder to fight far from home.
But they are miscalculating. They are creating global hostility, and at this pace they will run out of military assets and the tools and structures they need to control their own population.
~ The IDF predicts a major drop in missile attacks within 2–3 days. Launchers are being destroyed. They are estimated to have only 30–60 left. Missiles without launchers are useless.
~ Israeli and U.S. attacks hit nuclear sites in Natanz. It is possible that the enriched uranium that is missing was there. But there is no certainty about it.
~ Another nuclear site was attacked. It is called Arak and is a heavy water reactor.
~ The building of the Islamic Council was wiped out.
~ Financial Times reported that Israel hacked Tehran traffic cameras for years and tracked Iranian leaders and bodyguards using algorithms. They could track Khamenei as well.
~ So far, 365 people arrived at hospitals in Israel:
10 killed, 2 critically injured, 5 moderately injured, and 352 lightly wounded. Of those, 256 were injured while running to shelters. There was no direct hit today, but there were still injuries in Be’er Sheva in the south.
~ The IDF destroyed Iran’s main broadcast center, which was used for decades to control public opinion.
~ The U.S. is mobilizing more forces and equipment. Rumors say the next few days will be dramatic.
~ CENTCOM statement:
•We have attacked 1,250 targets so far in Iran.
•”Two days ago, the Iranian regime had 11 ships in the Gulf of Oman. Today they have zero. The Iranian regime has harassed and attacked international shipping there for decades. Those days are over. Freedom of maritime navigation has underpinned global prosperity for over 80 years. U.S. forces will continue to defend it.”
•Iran falsely claimed it sank a carrier. The only carrier damaged was an Iranian drone carrier.
~ Israel estimates over 2,000 IRGC members have been killed so far. I do not have a clear source, so this is not 100% confirmed.
~ The IDF assassinated the head of Iran’s strategic weapons R&D. This is a major blow—he was behind missile programs and key developments.
~ The four goals Trump stated:
• Destroy Iran’s missile capabilities
• Destroy Iran’s navy
• Prevent nuclear weapons
• Stop Iran from arming and financing terrorist organizations
He did not mention regime change, but it is clear he wants it as well.
~ Today I listened to an interview with an Iran expert, born in Iran and formerly in IDF Military Intelligence. He said about one million armed people work for the regime. The regime is heavily deploying forces into the streets, making rebellion very difficult. It will be tricky to deal with all those armed people. Many of them are dedicated.
~ Israeli and American attacks near Iran’s border with Iraq appear to be weakening defenses and setting conditions for Kurdish fighters to enter Iran.
~ The Israeli Air Force estimates it needs two weeks to hit all targets.
~ A direct hit on a U.S. base in Jordan—no known casualties. A U.S. base in Bahrain came under drone attack.
Note: I wonder why the U.S. has so many bases across the region. Maybe you can answer.
~Netanyahu tonight in an interview with Fox Network:

Lebanon:
~ After Hezbollah fired rockets into Israel, they issued a justification for fighting Israel. Some see this as an admission of declaring war. Israel expected this.
Israel wants to finish the job in Lebanon that Biden stopped. After 10/7, Israel does not want to live next to jihadists or rely on the failed “quiet for quiet” model while enemies prepare.
Israeli citizens are no longer willing to live near borders with jihadists on the other side. The new doctrine is cleared buffer zones. This is why there is a zone in Gaza, one created in Syria, and the goal to complete one in Lebanon. This is our frame of mind.
~ A massive operation targeted Hezbollah’s financial network. Dozens of banks were destroyed, and their chief finance figure was killed. The IDF documented how their financial network works and attacked it.
~ Dozens of strikes hit the Shiite quarter of Beirut—Hezbollah’s core area. Many missile depots across Lebanon were also attacked.
~ The Iranian embassy in Lebanon was struck. It is used as an IRGC base, and the head of IRGC operations in Lebanon was killed.
~ The head of Islamic Jihad in Lebanon was assassinated.
~ About 50 villages near the Israeli border received evacuation orders.
Today Hezbollah was quiet. Perhaps they want a pause. But the Chief of Staff is speaking about “a long battle until they disarm.”
There is a real chance the border villages will be flattened and the IDF will move in to establish a security zone. These villages are not innocent; they are Hezbollah strongholds with weapons and tunnels.
With the banks destroyed, Hezbollah will struggle to pay salaries, and Iran will have difficulty funding them.
~ The Houthis signaled they are joining the war, and a drone is reportedly on the way as I write this.
We have an old bill with their leader. He will not escape this time.
Overall, the war is expanding—mainly against Israel—but this was expected and may create an opportunity to deal decisively with several dangerous actors.

Its late in the day to post on the open thread. Not very much participation at this hour.
Still I feel a burden tonight prompted by our stalwart Betsy in a post on another thread stating in so many words that you don’t tolerate evil and you don’t associate with it.
It burdens me to realize that today so many do not recognize evil when they see it and are not ready to confront it, not even many here at TCTH. The conflict with Iran is a case in point, the sides are ever so clear…..why don’t some recognize the danger of tolerating a threat?
I can see the age of the posters in the responses that are highly critical of the administration in other threads….have they never lived enough to encounter evil in their personal experience? Are our youth so sheltered?
I’d be very interested in any opinions anyone has on this……

Either a person trusts Trump and his team or they don’t. Either you believe that the Jews deserve their own country and are generally a force for good or you don’t. Either you believe that current Iranian regime is an evil that if not excised will cause far more death and destruction than it already has, or you don’t.
My answer is unequivocally affirmative to all of those questions. And quite obviously Trump shares that view.
Further, looking deeper, I believe what we are witnessing is Trump totally destroying the geopolitical status quo we have lived under for so long. And I don’t just mean in taking out the authoritarian regimes that mean ill will towards the US. I also mean financially. He is destroying the paths that the darkest money has long been transferred through. And at the same time reordering the entire financial skeleton that status quo has been built on.
Look at what Loyds of London just did. They cancelled coverage of all the commercial ships they had insured that are trapped in the Persian Gulf. That is unprecedented in a situation like this and reveals a financial weakness. London is the world center for high end insurers as it has been since before the US was founded. It was Loyd’s that forced the British government to give in and end the war of 1812.
Loyd’s has long had a direct link to British intelligence that has given them a huge advantage over any competition since they had the inside track on threats and risks to the investments they insured.
Now as you may remember, with relations cooling and our “special relationship” with the UK not being so special at the present time, MI-6 started refusing to share some intelligence with the US. Then France, Germany, and Britain denied US use of bases or facilities.
I have no doubt that there has been reciprocity and the US has by far the most developed intelligence apparatus of the “5 eyes” in all areas except Humint. The “5 eye’s” with by far the biggest eye now almost closed is far less effective. Thus Loyd’s is not getting the quality of intel they once got.
Not only that, it is quite obvious that none of the NATO nations, not even the UK, even got a heads up from the US when the we and Israel were starting operations against Iran.
It is no joke. Trump is playing a level of chess far beyond the level that our “friends” are currently capable of.

The stress President Trump carries has to be unreal, especially under the circumstances regarding our “allies” you have described.
Britain, Germany, and France are shooting themselves a lot higher than the foot with these moves.
I’m convinced one or all of the three would have compromised the mission had they been given any info about it in advance.
It may be just coincidence, that the 3 blind eyes mentioned above, rely on a substantial ise- lamist vote to bolster their rotten regimes.

Allow me to expand on the war of 1812..
When Wellington defeated Napoleon at Waterloo Britain had been a war with France almost continuously for 23 years. Wars are expensive and the Empire was on shaky financial ground.
The US Navy, and particularly the US Privateers operating under US issued letters of marque and reprisal had been doing serious damage to the British maritime commercial fleet, which of course Loyd’s insured. Not only taking merchant ships and their cargoes but also the USS Essex operating the Pacific had done serious damage to their Whaling fleet. So much so the Times reported ‘London’ will burn dark for a year’ due to lack of lantern oil.
So Loyd’s rates for insuring the ships had climbed through the roof. Thus the whole commercial structure of the Empire had been severely damaged to the point of large sectors of trade becoming unprofitable. Thus the big Merchant houses had started screaming to end the war!
Facing the war debt and the reality of it’s business interests being crippled and so making it nearly impossible to make up the debt, the British gave the war up as a bad business.
You probably already know about this but “Six Frigates” is a splendid discussion of the early American 1812 navy. Also . . . just this week I got a copy of Teddy Roosevelt’s “Naval War Of
1812”. Found a perfect used copy for $5.
First published in the late 1800’s when he was in his mid 20’s, I first came across a 1st edition in my college library when I was an undergraduate.
IMHO it is a well researched, definitive work. Mine is a larger format 3rd edition. As mentioned I got it for $5.
Read the Roosevelt history. Not the Six Frigates though. Here is another excellent work if that I have referred to before here if you don’t have it.
BTW I love reading about both American and British naval history. One of my favorite movies is Master and Commander. A real and entertaining depiction of the way it was for a fictional tale.

While we couldn’t begin to match the British fleet, our Humphries designed “heavy” frigates were not only fast—USS Constitution logged 13.5 knots under full sale—but were also more heavily armed—24 pounder long guns versus 18 pounder long guns. ‘Six Frigates’ turned out to be a good read. 🙂
Re: ‘Master and Commander’. One of my favorites also, rah. The ending scenes are fascinating. The conversation about the other French frigate describes a Humphries designed heavy frigate. Obviously, yet mysteriously, an American design and build. Too bad we didn’t get a sequel to M&C.

Good morning rah. I am a boomer and I understand what you are saying about the youth now. I believe a lot of it is the public education system, very biased and is not teaching the subjects boomers were taught, Social Studies, Civics, real History, not the History they want the young people to be brain washed with. They are not taught to have pride in the USA, they took God out of the schools and they are taught you do not have to work very hard and you will still get a trophy, an atta boy/girl. This is all opinion and conjecture. Also, they want everything now, not work for it, and the media and the stupid ads for buy this, buy that, go into debt, it doesn’t matter! They’ve been taught selfishness is a good thing, me, myself and I are the most important!
Some blame, of course, goes to the parents, those that both had to work to “keep up with the Jones”, and of course the feminist movement, a very selfish movement! No supervision at home, and of course, one parent families. In my opinion, there are many factors that have caused this attitude amongst our youth. It is a combination of morally corrupt teachings, and it is a deliberate breaking down of society. The globalists need to control and need that power so lets breakdown society by focusing on the youth.
I do not have the answers other than to fix the education of our youth. One thing I have noticed is that the youth that were home taught have a better grasp on today’s world and know that hard work will reward you. Also they have two parents, Mom and Dad. Living in rural Texas, most of the youth, in our school district, are well rounded, literate and are more inclined to be interested in local and national politics. I think this is because of Agriculture programs, such as FFA, and they still have shop classes, and are taught pride in their state and country. Students know they do not have to go to college, they can go to Tech schools and learn a valuable trade. Of course, there are those students that are athletes and use that to get scholarships to colleges, but a lot of them choose Christian colleges to go to. Religion is a big factor here in rural Texas and morals are taught by parents. Big factor for me.
Like I said, this is mostly my opinion and observation. Take it for what it is worth, $.02. I shall remove myself from my soapbox now. Have a most blessed day. I need to get going so I can vote this morning.
I have one answer. Put full camera coverage with audio in every classroom and assembly forum. Footage that can be accessed by any parent at any time.

I see so many parents when I am out and about that, most of the time, ignore their child, do not discipline them and basically let them run wild and perform temper tantrums and just whine and complain until they get what they want! I know you can not discipline in public because of the “karens” that will report you as an abusive parent, but if they were disciplined in the home early in their lives, they would probably not carry on in public, because they know what the consequences will be.
Again, this is my opinion, my two cents worth, and again, I do like your solution.

Hi’ya Pat. Over the decades of my teaching career, I noticed that more and more of my students were disinterested in reading. In my sociology and anthropology classes, these students simply lacked the ability to make the kinds of abstract comparisons that the social sciences required. This made taking classes based on social theory was
very challenging for them.
For example. A multiple choice test question I often asked simply asked . . . “What are norms?” A redolently wrong answer was “Norms are people who do regular things. . .” Over time, my students increasingly chose this answer . . . Sigh.
Good afternoon Dear Garrison. Oh that had to be so frustrating.
My mom was an avid reader, so all of us became avid readers as well. I love to pick up a book and feel and turn the pages and see the print. I began reading to my son when he was quite young and he always loved books and became an avid reader. I also began to read to my grandchildren when they were quite young, and they also love books.
With the technology of computers and the advanced phones, the students can basically look up just about anything, so reading a book is so mundane! The English papers I grade tell a sad story when it comes to punctuation, sentence structure, words used and atrocious grammar, and their awful penmanship. I sometimes have a very difficult time just trying to decipher what they have written and their name. Although I can usually know what students were home schooled before going on to college, as their understanding of the written language is very good and they have also learned cursive. The students do have a textbook, of which I have a copy of, to assist me in grading. A lot of the time, I can tell if the student has used AI for their answers, rather than working with their textbook for the answers. I do a lot of sighing and shaking my head while grading papers as well.

Good reading often leads to a good understanding of “narrative voice”. Sadly this is often lost on contemporary college students who lack the essential understanding of how words ought to “sound”.

Very well said, friend rah. It sure looks like a lot of “geopolitical players” (let’s start with Iran) vastly miscalculated in making their basic assumptions about Trump. Basically, he sat out a huge pile of ‘chit’ and they obligingly stepped in it . . . When the Iranian negotiator bragged about easily building 11 nukes that immediately sealed both his—and Iran’s—fate. Bottom line: Trump don’t bluff. Call his bluff and you lose.
We see the realignment happening time and again. Japan votes in a woman with ultra strong party backing that is even more conservative than her mentor was and every bit as pro American and opposed to China as he was.
Spain’s socialist government is about to find out what happens when you piss off Trump. Hope you all are all stocked up on any wines or olives they have produced that you like.
Poland is going to build nucs because it knows it cannot rely on the European nuclear powers to protect it. Anyone with a little knowledge about the history of that country would have a hard time blaming them.
Re: Polish nukes . . . Agree it was bound to happen. When the Soviets were taking over eastern Europe, they promptly ran into combat experienced former East Front soldiers who already knew how to fight Russians. To bad we didn’t have the foresight to furnish them with weapons. History could have been very different.
Unlike Ukraine, Poland’s military is designed to defend against a Russian invasion.
Iran manufactures many of its own weapons. How are we doing on taking out missile and drone manufacturing factories?

David, back when I was an SF soldier and we planned for our mission if WW III was going to happen in Europe a prime reference we used was the USAF potential target folder for the country we were to operate in. They were massive binders with all kinds of different images from all kinds of different platforms in them.
Now in the computer age I can not help but think the US and Israel had every possible static target mapped and imaged long before this operation was conceived and merely had to update and revise a little.
Our Military Intel and Mossad have been working very long days and nights for months and in some cases years to put together a massive bank of targets.
The Only U.S. and Israel will not stop until they believe the threat has been eliminated for the duration.
So I just got a report 10:00AM East Time that we are now in a wave of attack on their Military Industries.
And if that is not enough we just attacked the meeting of electing the new Supreme Leader. A meeting of 80 people but not all were there.
Never the less, what is left of Iranian command and control is so decimated that they just issued order to the IRGC that local commanders now have full authority to act based on their own judgment of their individual situations. In other words there is no central command authority left to issue orders and coordinate actions between units.
I would assume that also means that local commanders will have to rely on what resources they have or can find to restock their weapons and munitions as needed.
This is a very important strategic change in the battle. Obviously, their targeting coordinates were fall backs—already in place just in case. Thanks for posting this, rah.
The provisions of the war powers act provide for a 30 day extension beyond the 60 day limit if it is judged that it would be a threat to the forces engaged to withdraw.

It’s no surprise that readers here value your detailed reports, David. Most of the populace of the West only gets “The U.S. and Israel are at war with Iran; Down with Israeli Zionism! Orange man bad!” It’s all so patronizing and tedious. So when real news comes along, it’s welcome.
Keep it up, a public informed with the truth is a powerful weapon that can shape the zeitgeist on the Middle East. In this case, the truth is such that it just has to be put out there and the people will decide for themselves who are the good and the bad actors. That it also exposes how ridiculous and useless most of the pampered talking heads of the western press truly are is simply a collateral good.

I am curious, has Hebrew added a J like so many European languages have, and changed its pronunciation like English did?
In translating Jewish holy writings to Greek, Yeshua’s name got changed. The Y was changed to I, the sh was changed to s and an s was added at the end. All part of a transliteration to try to pronounce the Hebrew word as closely as possible.
This was the name used by the New Testament writers for Jesus. As well as the source for most of the Old Testament prophecies. And Jesus’ name was modified again when translated to Latin. And the first English bible was a translation from the Latin. Somehow, over time, the I got changed to J a little before the KJV and the pronunciation was changed sometime after the KJV.
Speaking of James’ that name wasn’t in the Bible until the KJV. It used to be Jacob. Both are J words, so not accurate. John is also a J word.
Even weirder, we also changed Yeshua’s name to Joshua, and sing about him fighting the battle of Jericho. More J’s. So Christ, who was named after Joshua, because the name explicitly means Jehovah saves, (yet another J), ends up with a different name than Joshua.
The question begs to be asked, if salvation is only in one name, which name is it? That was told to us with the Greek version of his name. Hebrew/Aramaic, Greek, Latin, the ever changing English, or whatever other versions crop up in translations to other languages?
Which should we use?
And persecution of Jews has existed much longer than any J word we use to name them. It is funny how so much of the terminology of our ancient religious faith is built on a recent construction of language.
Jews for Jesus! How would that be said in Hebrew today? 1966 years ago? (The revolt was 8 years later.)

Robert Hooke
(1635-1703)
English scientist (Micrographia), dies at 67
Biography: Hooke was a scientific polymath. He was simultaneously the curator of experiments of the Royal Society and a member of its council.
He was also Gresham Professor of Geometry and a Surveyor to the City of London after the Great Fire. He performed over 50% of all the surveys after the fire. Hooke was also an architect and worked with Christopher Wren to build St Paul’s Cathedral.
Hooke was a pioneer of microscopy, and known by many school children for his law of elasticity.

Lou Costello
(1906-1959)
American comedian and actor (The Abbott and Costello Show; Who’s On First?), dies of a heart attack at 52
Biography: Lou Costello started his career in burlesque and vaudeville theatre where he met his comedic partner Bud Abbott. Costello was the funny man for Abbott’s straight performance. Their most famous routine is “Who’s On First?” involving confusion over nicknames of baseball players. The two worked theatre circuits, and eventually earned roles on the radio show “The Kate Smith Hour” in 1938 which provided them national exposure.
The duo’s first role in film was “A Night in the Tropics” (1940) and was so well received that they were given starring roles thereafter, making 36 films over the next 15 years. During their heyday they were one of Hollywood’s most successful and well-paid acts. They also had the radio show “The Abbott and Costello” which ran from 1942-1949, and a television program with the same name from 1953-1955.
After a sometimes fractious working relationship, Costello parted ways with Abbot in 1957. He died of a heart attack in 1959, three days before his 53rd birthday.

Polish American physician who invented the oral polio vaccine, dies of heart failure at 86
Biography: Albert Sabin was a Polish-American medical research, known for developing the oral polio vaccine. This development has since led to the disease being nearly eradicated worldwide.
Sabin’s work built on that of Jonas Salk, who developed the first inactivated poliovirus vaccine. Sabin then developed an oral vaccine which was found to be safe and effective.
The oral poliovirus vaccine went into mass-testing between 1955 and 1961, and then began to be industrially produced. He licensed a total of three separate vaccines, corresponding to the three major poliovirus strains.
Sabin notably refused to patent his vaccine, which allowed it to be produced at a low price and used all around the world. The Sabin Vaccine Institute, founded in 1993, has since continued his work.

COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 16:8
This psalm begins with expressions of devotion, which may be applied to Christ; but ends with such confidence of a resurrection, as must be applied to Christ, and to him only.
– David flees to God’s protection, with cheerful, believing confidence. Those who have avowed that the Lord is their Lord, should often put themselves in mind of what they have done, take the comfort of it, and live up to it. He devotes himself to the honour of God, in the service of the saints. Saints on earth we must be, or we shall never be saints in heaven. Those renewed by the grace of God, and devoted to the glory of God, are saints on earth. The saints in the earth are excellent ones, yet some of them so poor, that they needed to have David’s goodness extended to them. David declares his resolution to have no fellowship with the works of darkness; he repeats the solemn choice he had made of God for his portion and happiness, takes to himself the comfort of the choice, and gives God the glory of it. This is the language of a devout and pious soul. Most take the world for their chief good, and place their happiness in the enjoyments of it; but how poor soever my condition is in this world, let me have the love and favour of God, and be accepted of him; let me have a title by promise to life and happiness in the future state; and I have enough. Heaven is an inheritance; we must take that for our home, our rest, our everlasting good, and look upon this world to be no more ours, than the country through which is our road to our Father’s house. Those that have God for their portion, have a goodly heritage. Return unto thy rest, O my soul, and look no further. Gracious persons, though they still covet more of God, never covet more than God; but, being satisfied of his loving-kindness, are abundantly satisfied with it: they envy not any their carnal mirth and delights. But so ignorant and foolish are we, that if left to ourselves, we shall forsake our own mercies for lying vanities. God having given David counsel by his word and Spirit, his own thoughts taught him in the night season, and engaged him by faith to live to God.
Verses #8-11|, are quoted by St. Peter in his first sermon, after the pouring out of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost, #Ac 2:25-31|; he declared that David in them speaks concerning Christ, and particularly of his resurrection. And Christ being the Head of the body, the church, these verses may be applied to all Christians, guided and animated by the Spirit of Christ; and we may hence learn, that it is our wisdom and duty to set the Lord always before us. And if our eyes are ever toward God, our hearts and tongues may ever rejoice in him. Death destroys the hope of man, but not the hope of a real Christian. Christ’s resurrection is an earnest of the believer’s resurrection. In this world sorrow is our lot, but in heaven there is joy, a fulness of joy; our pleasures here are for a moment, but those at God’s right hand are pleasures for evermore. Through this thy beloved Son, and our dear Saviour, thou wilt show us, O Lord, the path of life; thou wilt justify our souls now, and raise our bodies by thy power at the last day; when earthly sorrow shall end in heavenly joy, pain in everlasting happiness.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

I didn’t mention it before… but I happened upon a set of 5 Patriotic plates – oddly, Limoge Made in France Oooh LaLaLaLa –
from the 200th anniversary of our American Revolutionary Independence process; dated 1772-1972, 1773-1973, 1774-1974, 1775-1975, 1776-1976, each denoting a Revolution-pivotal event from each year with a description on the reverse.
So I thought that finding 50-something year old American Bicentennial plates – Limoge (!) in *perfect condition* (!) for $6 (!) – was a wink from God telling me that I have the Cosmic Winds at my back for my Patriotic tablescape for our 250th year remembrances & celebrations; the Wee Ones aren’t getting it anywhere else but from me.
Giving Thanks at the table has never in my lifetime meant so much to me (I wasn’t raised in harmony with that)… Praying in Gratitude that the Iranian People are within reach of their Freedom from tyranny, and that there are still enough Grandparents alive there who remember to lead the way back to pre-dictatorship ways; and also that We The People of America can similarly also finally re-claim AND regain the protections our Constitution guarantees US; AND that all we have to do is the next thing God puts in front of us/US. What a time to be alive… God is So Good.
