I read Linehan’s book ( I love his Father Ted sit com) about his rise and fall. It was hilarious because he’s so funny and tragic in its consequences for his life. The day i was subbing & heard the F…word being screamed by numerous middle school students while going to another class really shocked me.
Yet what was really shocking was when I asked a teacher about it. They asked if they has used the F word to me & Isaid no. They replied than just ignore it, it is OK.
Don’t know how many times I’m been thanked after telling someone that I’m a retired correctional teacher. I look at them and say it was a cake walk compared to our public middle & high schools of today.
Can’t emphasize it enough people if you have childen, grandkids or friends who have children or greandkids in public school PULL them out and home school or put in private school if you can afford. Remember if you are home schooling your children there is not a specific time schedule that you must maintain. If you work 8 to then you can home school when you are get off work &/or on days off. Seen many retired grandparents who home school their grandkids with zoom–
I have teenagers right now and I say nearly every day that the schools are an emergency.
If you don’t have kids right now in this, you have no idea how bad it all is.

It would be nice if there were ways to get the realities of current events to Trump’s eyes and ears. He is surrounded by boot-licking filters that funnel him nothing but how amazing everything is. Everything isn’t amazing. The last three elections should be concerning to him and foretell what is heading his way in November if big changes don’t happen.
The job market is horrible for professionals and many millions of good-paying jobs have been lost in the last couple of years. People stupidly thought that the H1B visa thing would create all kinds of new American-based jobs for Americans. Didn’t happen at all. Companies accelerated layoffs and are now “offshoring” instead of H1B visas.
The healthcare situation is also a big issue. Trump ran his mouth a month ago, but nothing is getting done and many millions of people that voted for him are now having to figure out how to pay outrageous health insurance premiums while illegal aliens get red-carpet treatment at local hospitals.
Trump continues to play footsie with the GOP while they laugh in his face and run the clock out on his second term. They did almost nothing for him year one and will do even less this year, all by design. I’m tired of Mike Johnson quoting Bible scriptures while he lies like a rug and does little to help Trump and our nation. He’s a weasel.
Trump is cruzin’ for a major political wreck in 9 months if some sane people don’t get him off the “everything is great” needle & spoon. Everything is far from great for most of the people that voted for him.
Sure, Trump is totally oblivious to ‘the realities of current events’, because he’s only the President, whilst the average poster naturally has access to far more information than the head of the executive. Give it a break will you, everyday you’re dropping black-pills based on what I can only deduce is evidence based on subjective, anecdotal and secondary synthetics, but also ignoring objective realities that counter this narrative of impending doom.
I’m privy to as much information as most people here, but think it most unlikely that Team Trump did not anticipate the reactive DS measures or have in place various stratagems to defeat them. I’m sure if I’ve thought of them then they have too, and if they aren’t being initiated now there’s a pretty good reason; or, did the planning team spend two years forgetting all the ways the UniParty stiffed them, imprisoned their friends, or tried to financially ruin them, and in the case of the President, kill them. This is especially true when the DS is seemingly incapable of running a different playbook, as the recent attack on the DNI shows, same people, same conduits, same method, same everything, and an almost immediate shootdown resulted.
I also am highly doubtful about your central premise that they’re sleep walking towards a Mid-Term disaster, simply because you don’t plan to repeat the same mistakes you made the first time around, in fact the opposite. A defeat (whatever the cause) usually triggers an initial lessons learned activity, which allows for a more detailed and comprehensive completion of the weaknesses and threats section in your strategic modelling. Or, as a colleague once called it, the ‘well we won’t be bloody doing that again, will we’, phase. Not everything has, or will go to plan, but again these setbacks can be anticipated and contingencies planned for, so simply regarding an initial failure or setback, especially when it’s only perceived to be such, as meaning an inevitable defeat follows is a risky bet at best.

Offshoring of jobs has been happening for decades. H1B’s are being handcuffed with new policies. New factories etc are going to be coming on line over the next few years which will result in many new jobs for Americans. As companies reduce headcount due to AI, it will mean more people to fill all those new jobs. Every generation experiences a change… and we adjust after a little pain.
TrumpRX.gov will reduce healthcare costs dramatically. I expect something is in the works for healthcare insurance premiums because President Trump mentioned it when he announced all the discounts for drugs some weeks ago. Also, rural healthcare facilities are getting the funding they needed to stay open.
President Trump is doing all the right things, and some of his initiatives have happened in the BBB. The only people that Congress responds to is We the People… if we are loud enough maybe they will finally do the things we voted for. I don’t think you can complain about President Trump in this regard.

Its not only the littles in MA…my oldest escaped with her own child. Side note….when daughter went into labor and did not progress, an ultrasound was indicated but not done…turns out after direct pressure to the local health care org, ultimately had a C section….the cord was wrapped around the baby’s neck, a few times….we could have lost both mother and baby due to their taking their time to “not spend health care money”…placental tear?…(gee where have we heard that one before?)
