According to healthcare workers at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) medical systems, there is currently an ongoing effort to brainstorm ways to poison ICE and federal immigration officials. This is seriously disturbing stuff going on inside the healthcare system.

I do not like to be argumentative, but a reasonable person would think something like this might tend to be illegal; perhaps not. Regardless, I think everyone should be very careful about reviewing the ideology of their doctors, nurses and healthcare workers just to be safe.
The woman in the video above is reportedly a “certified registered nurse” and “anesthesiologist” in the VCU and Duke University healthcare system. I’m not sure anyone would want this type of unbalanced and mentally disturbed person delivering their healthcare. Yikes.

One more thing, succinylcholine is indeed a “temporary” paralytic, but the usual dose leads to death BEFORE the drug wears off, if the airway is not supported with either endotracheal tube or manual (not just passive) mask ventilation. Other paralytic agents have a longer half life, but also a slower onset time. More importantly, these other drugs have reversal agents, antidotes if you will. Sux does NOT. The airway MUST be supported until it wears off. This POS would have very specific knowledge of that fact.
A former RN in Nevada murdered his wife (State Controller) with sux several years ago, nearly got away with it. Time for massive audits of the pharmacies she and her followers have access to. Nothing like an audit to get the hospital admin’s attention.
Good point! Hospitals have strict protocols for documenting narcotics, sedatives, etc. But NOT Sux or other paralytics. A CRNA would just stock her cart from the anesthesia workroom. Multidose Sux vials, if opened, would just be discarded at end of day. Easy to take some home.
Cameras often in place in the anesthesia workroom, but not in the ORs. If she were to pilfer drugs, she could do it there.

Video surveillance might seem like a solution but in reality it won’t work. I retired from this profession after 30+ years and over that time had 7 colleagues die from narcotic overdoses. It is quite easy to accomplish drug diversion for personal use. Muscle relaxants are rarely used outside of the OR, but are not ‘controlled’ like narcotics. Yes they can be locked up but in the end the same problem as noted with narcotics. There is no easy fix. This woman needs to have her certification pulled with the AANA, the national organization for licensing of CRNA”S, otherwise she could just get another job in a different state, in fact she could already have licensure in other states currently. Without the national certification she will be unable to work in that capacity. Interestingly, succinylcholine/anectine has had a dark background for use in crime and in punishment. There was the tale of Dr. Coppolino, anesthesiologist in NJ and FL (~1960’s) who murdered his wife and later his mistresses husband. The forensic limitations at that juncture prevented discovery of the agent for sometime until the second murder in FL which prompted the exhumation of his wife and newer technology discovered signs of the drug. As to my reference of punishment/behavior modification, in some penal institutions a sux drip was administered to the recalctrant prisoner until they could barely breathe, the diaphragm is one of the last muscles to become paralyzed. The panic and fear of being totally immobilized (it does not affect mentation at all) was enough to curb their unsocial behavior, sometimes after a series of interventions. Like all things, there are good and bad uses for substances. I won’t go into all the covid fiasco where the medical arena experimented on millions with horrendous drugs and modalities for profit. I stay far away from hospitals these days, I no longer expect them to operate safely on my behalf. We are in a sad state of affairs these days for many reasons.

I had a broken bone, the ER doc ordered morphine, the nurse shorted what she put in and placed it in the sharps container. I assume she went back and got it later. Simple no record. I know she shorted it, because I watched her, she did it real quick. I was in a bit of disbelief, abject pain and it only came clear after the doc was trying to set my bone and the pain was a 20, did I realize what she did…
I have zero faith in that industry at this point, and empathize. When I was a kid, the first MD misread my x-ray and told my parents for 2 weeks that my arm was just bruised and I was fussing over the discoloration, make me use it a lot to heal faster. Two weeks later, he went on vacation and his partner re-read the x-ray and had me brought in to break the improperly healing bone so it could be set in proper position. That was when the AMA official position was that kids under the age of 10 could not feel pain, so no anesthetics.
My younger kid had a bad reaction to a vaccine (PCV7, 105 temp and asthma symptoms, later pulled off the market), so his subsequent MDs got around being harassed about his not getting the shot by the practice admins by not giving it to him and charting that he got it. As long as my kid did not die, admin could not care less (and it was not their medical license on the line).
FWIW, anyone on Medicare has a right to complain to Medicare by filing a quality of care complaint (QIO), I have filed several and, as the RN noted in August (discussing the moron MD who had to call in a nephrologist to be told to stop a saline IV because it was elevating my FIL’s sodium level to a near-lethal level) “You lit a fire under somebody because they are actually showing up for the full shift now”.
The home health aide who was supposed to be giving my grandfather post-discharge PT 3 times a week and was showing up every-other for about 5 minutes was another I complained about. Medicare very efficiently denied the bills submitted for PT after my grandfather had passed away, but the amount was too low to pursue health care fraud charges. The MD reportedly took x-rays in in-patient rehab, and the films could not possibly be his for multiple reasons (digital made that sort of fraud popular decades ago: electronic health records are probably 60% fiction at best for most people).
I am exceptionally reliably told Bondi is now focusing on some enormous health care fraud cases that were indicted under seal under Biden’s DOJ but which that DOJ refused to prosecute. What has been exposed in MN is pocket change in comparison. The entire industry has zero ethics (a few honorable exceptions within it remaining).
These issues relate to the “content of one’s character”…integrity, dedication, honesty, compassion, empathy seem to be missing in the younger nurses.
As a senior, approaching Medicare, I am very frightened. As a critical care nurse of almost 50 years, I am further frightened of these younger nurses. And deeply ashamed for what the profession is showing itself to be.
Back in the day, my nursing profs warned us that we had to keep an eye on our patients and the nurse we handed off to when we went to lunch. The warnings we were given, were delicate and non-accusatory but we all got the ‘message’ that we could not always trust another nurse with our patient and I have personally now and then, experienced sabotage of my patient’s drips and monitor settings, so I well know. So, if people were like that then, they have only gotten worse. And it is far worse in the heavily democratic blue cities all over the country as I confer with my colleagues elsewhere, such as Chicago where I have experienced that on several occasions.

Me too. But even more than that, I have slowly (proactively) gravitated over to the doctors who follow my own ideological views. Since I am getting a bit older (and have probably been poisoned my entire life by the medical industrial complex), I do have certain issues to attend to.
Covid was very helpful in my concerted effort to weed out all the nut jobs. I spoke with many doctors and nurses who were *not* on board with forced injections and other bad medicine.
Most of the doctors I vetted now practice concierge medicine. This is a fairly new concept. It’s so good that if leftists steal the next election they will likely outlaw it.
Concierge medical providers accept a regular fee and don’t rely solely on insurance reimbursements. This frees them up to practice real medicine outside of the medical industrial complex.
These are the kinds of doctors we must seek out. In 2020, the Frontline doctors were at the forefront of this movement. AFLDS. org
President Trump seems to be on top of the concierge medicine movement. He has mentioned making federal payments directly to patients instead of the insurance companies, eliminating the middle man so we can choose how and where to best spend our own healthcare dollars.
I am fortunate that, so far, I can afford these doctors on my own. Flat fee ranges from $10-$100 per month depending on the services rendered.

I was an RN in Houston. Some time in a Med Center hospital ICU and lots of time in L&D.
If I didn’t feel confident about handing off my patients while grabbing lunch, I didn’t eat lunch or kept it to 10 minutes or so. For the most part, I worked with good people.
What really broke trust for me was that two of my fellow RNs became addicts and stole opiates. One used pain meds meant for her patients who were in labor or in the recovery room. As it happened, she had undiagnosed mandibular cancer and was in pain.
The other one eventually stole entire boxes of 10-25 doses at a time. She was required to rotate to night shifts and absolutely could not sleep during the day so she started pilfering Percoset tabs. She would steal those drugs when she and I were both on the schedule for the same day. I didn’t realize that she was framing me until after she was caught and one of the LVNs apologized to me for thinking I had been the culprit.
Both were sent to rehab. Both eventually were allowed back into patient care areas where drugs were administered. Both fell back into drugs. There are plenty of other jobs for nurses that don’t include contact with scheduled drugs. The primary duty of care is to the patients, not to a nurse who wants to return to her specialty area.
When my ex was in in-patient rehab in ‘84 there was 1 anesthesiologist & 2 RNs in his rehab group.
I was gobsmacked when they each commented on the high number of their coworkers that were addicts.
There was an in-patient rehab facility in Houston that catered specifically to addicts in the healthcare field. That was in the 80’s and 90’s.
Segregation was important because of the shame factor.
When people felt shame for their actions they didn’t then become emboldened to escalate them & publicize it.
Apparently there was plenty of shame even in a segregated situation.
For most people in healthcare, it would be unthinkable to use any of the drugs in stock. The idea of diverting doses and leaving a patient in pain would go against one’s self-concept as a caregiver. Beyond that, pain med orders have limitations on the frequency of doses for safety reasons. If a patient was under-medicated or given saline, he/she was out of luck during that window of time. Taking drugs intended for a patient in pain is little different from inflicting pain in the first place.
Been through the attempted framing part. I was fully aware and terrified since being newest and only temporary but I’m sure that the theft began prior to my tenure there and thank God they didn’t attempt to pin it on me. I was aware of the two addicts as soon as I met them and realized that I was at risk.
Edit – I am sure they tried to blame me but it was all behind my back and a wonderful co-worker who was usually exceptionally prickly with everyone was exceptionally vocal on my behalf and I will never forget her name.

There are plenty of horror stories about both.
Spent over 30 years in various administrative capacities doing investigations of medical malpractice. The most dangerous were not the RNs but interns and anesthesiologists themselves. The CRNAs were pretty bad but depending on the Attending, and the Surgeon, there was usually a lot of eyes in the ORs so rapid changes to the patient’s vitals were quickly noticed. PACU & PreOp RNs had a lot of unsupervised patients access so “med errors” there usually stood out pretty easy. Remote patient monitoring cut down on a lot of bedside BS, but the patients were still 100% vulnerable.
Same here, almost 50 years in nursing and thankfully retired. I’m 100% ashamed of what my lifetime profession has become.

In our Rep district in NY, rural small town; the social studies teacher who actually taught the constitution to my 2 oldest grandkids 10yrs ago seemed very conservative. A switch must have blown in the meantime because my next grandson who had him as a teacher spoke out. The teachers TDS was so severe this election he stopped teaching and began preaching to his students the hatred of Trump nonstop until it was unbearable. My grandson (14) couldn’t take it anymore, piped up and said something like “get over it”. At which he was promptly yelled at and tossed from class. It wasn’t until his father, physically intimidating, went to the school and threatened said teacher that he was freed from any further punishment and left alone. It’s the unions! My child worked in that same school for a year and told me, haughtily, I needed to learn pronouns… I was so shocked at the change in her I was taken aback. I just looked at her and said “Never going to happen!” Her father broke out in laughter at her.
Pronouns. I once went to an incoming students college presentation that laid it all out for the parents. Each current student speaker at the program loudly announced their “preferred pronouns” before they spoke.

My niece, RN, told my 88yr old mom “If you get Covid, absolutely under no circumstance go to a hospital unless you are literally gasping for air.” Mom ended up with it, stayed home, told everyone stay away, at Christmas time and recovered on her own.
That happened with my brother in law at the insistence of my very wise sister. My BIL had COVID, stayed home, and she insisted he get up and move his body. It was not an easy recovery but he did get better. Hospitals are not always the best place to get well.
They got paid a lot per patient to kill them. They just had to follow the Fauci protocol – no extra effort required. Pretty much all hospital doctors and nurses went along with this.

He’s the only primary assigned to that small clinic. I suppose there are about 3-4 nurses, a couple of technicians for blood draws, etc., and 5-6 office-type staff.
I know he’s conservative in the sense that he’s horrified with what the medical practice has become generally. I also know that one of his nurses is a dreaded evangelical like me. Beyond that, how would I “review the ideology” of the others or, worse, if I have to have an outpatient surgical procedure at the hospital where there are 4-5 more layers of personnel?

Most people may not be aware how liberal most of the healthcare workforce is. I was part of it for well over 30 years and as a conservative I had to keep quiet and not talk politics. Many of my coworkers participated in rallies and protests for the democrat side.
