It is a great thing to think that Jesus Christ has need of me – “Give Me to drink.” How much kindness have I shown Him this past week? Have I been kind to His reputation in my life?
God is saying to His people – You are not in love with Me now, but I remember the time when you were – “I remember . . . the love of thine espousals.” Am I as full of the extravagance of love to Jesus Christ as I was in the beginning, when I went out of my way to prove my devotion to Him? Does He find me recalling the time when I did not care for anything but Himself? Am I there now, or have I become wise over loving Him? Am I so in love with Him that I take no account of where I go? or am I watching for the respect due to me; weighing how much service I ought to give?
If, as I recall what God remembers about me, I find He is not what He used to be to me, let it produce shame and humiliation, because that shame will bring the godly sorrow that works repentance.”

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He is making massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This term, he is weeding them out faster. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the healthy distrust of government and men with too much power held by our founders. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum on day 367 of the 2nd term of this very stable genius in the history of the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2025.

The case to be heard is Trump, President of the U.S. vs Cook and is about the firing of the federal reserve member who manipulated mortgage applications in order to gain favorable rates, while knowing part of the duties of sitting on the federal reserve board was to establish interest rates.
The question before the Court is “The application for stay presented to the Chief Justice and by him referred to the Court is deferred pending oral argument in January 2026.”
The justices don’t identify themselves, so any listeners who aren’t sure whose speaking can check the live-blog at Scotusblog (not affiliated with the Court), although I expect KBJ’s questions will be so idiotic that there won’t be any doubt as to when she is speaking. The first and last voice should be the CJ.

This case is similar to Trump v. Slaughter, which was already argued. The issues in Slaughter were:
(1) Whether the statutory removal protections for members of the Federal Trade Commission violate the separation of powers and, if so, whether Humphrey’s Executor should be overruled. (2) Whether a federal court may prevent a person’s removal from public office, either through relief at equity or at law.
Both cases are basically about the president’s authority to fire an official at an “independent agency.” Humphrey’s Executor, a New Deal era decision, limited the president’s authority. It’s possible the Court will issue a joint opinion on these two cases.

I wondered the same thing – why have oral argument on the second case if the first one pretty much covered all the issues?
The only difference I see is that Cook’s firing was “for cause,” but Slaughter’s wasn’t. Oral argument slots are so limited that I’m surprised Cook got a listing.
By the way, Jerome Powell is supposed to attend the argument. I doubt his presence will have any influence on the justices’ decision.

Sounds like its time for some of your emergency preparedness posts.

This is not the buy out the milk and bread at the grocers and make do a couple days storm.
This is normal weather up here for us.
My first piece of advice is don’t ever live in a home that doesn’t have a wood stove and a water source around, like a brook even..
If you have this, you’ll make it. We have plenty of times!
Have both NHnative and I’m mostly ready but the ice is the problem. 3 inches of ice and power lines go down. Toss up right now if the ice goes south of us or hits us.
What was not mentioned in the video is the effect on the power grid.
If large sections of the grid go down the effects may be widespread beyond the ice areas.
Predicted overnight temps where I live are -15 to -17 F. I grew up about 100 mile north of where I live now, and the predict temp is -11 for the high on Friday and -27 for the low. Those where not that unusual of temps in the 1960’s and early 70’s when I was growing up there.
I also worked in commercial power generation, believe me these temps suck inside and outside a power plant, but we kept the electricity flowing. A lot of power plants have switched from coal to natural gas (combined cycle), which will be curtailed for home heating and they will have to switch to fuel oil, which also sucks from an operational standpoint.
Remember the last cold snap in Texas when they ran out of natural gas because the pumps were solar powered? Hopefully that has been fixed.
I count my blessings that I do not live in that band of ice…
I live in So California and I just told my wife this is why we will never move to Texas. We, of course, have other problems starting with elections and stupid politicians, but the litany described above is non-existent.

Northern states deal with this kind of weather most years and people are prepared. Further south it’s different. Local and state governments don’t have the snow and ice removal equipment. Homes have heat pumps not furnaces. People have dealt with harsh weather their whole life and take it in stride. It’s not like that in the south.

MAGA’s own the primary elections ……. recruiting and supporting candidates to run against the RINOs …… and getting out the MAGA voters to secure the rejection of the RINOs in the primary and prepare to run against the democrats in the fall general election.
